Doable, but I found that past a certain threshold (say 30 rps) it's much more convenient to build a DSG instead. I managed, by mistake, 36/37 RPS on a single sector gear running off 12:1s and 36k warhead but I had to shortstroke the sector by 4 teeth to achieve proper timing.. You will need a very good tappet plate and spring because the poor thing will be the most stressed component as it has to reciprocate at ludicrous speeds almost 40 times a second.1 point

MTBs
Lozart reacted to AK47frizzle for a topic
29 inch wheel are the norm now, not much for 26 inch left. Although, continental still have good mtb tyres for 26 inch like the raceking, crossking, mountain king etc. I think Panaracer too. Wheels that 2.2 inch+ are common too for offroad. I use 2.2 inch race kings and they seem to be the best balance between speed, performance, and weight but I don't do any crazy trails, just some casual offroad like dirt, gravel, and roots in forests. The theory is that skinnier wheels are faster, which is technically true. But, over the years, it seems people have found wider and bigger tyres to be better because, although the raw speed on flats are lower, the ability to glide over most terrain more than makes up for it. TPU inner tubes are getting popular too. I run them and it's instant -300 to 400 grams compared to standard butyl. Worth the upgrade. Lots of trail folks run tubeless but they require high pressure output to set up like a compressor. I still prefer tubes because ease of use. Steel frames are still used by ye, they are harder to come by and usually only available through smaller companies that do custom made stuff. I don't run clips (clipless, dumb name) so cannot comment on that. As for your fork I don't know much about that one but air forks very popular now. Cheaper ones have only one side working, more expensive have both sides with suspension and dampers etc etc. Tbh, older cranksets and shifters are still perfectly fine. I have a 16 yr old trek 3700 that I've modded to shit through aliexpress but the original gears and such are still there. V brakes are still cool too. Honestly, your bike is still very capable. Bikes, at the core, haven't significantly changed that much over the years. If all your stuff works, then no real need to change. With your MTB, I am not sure if there is much worth changing unless you want to splash big on new suspension. Maybe new tyres if current ones have worn out. Your other option is to turn it into a lightweight gravel bike. I have done that with my trek 3700. It started off at 15kg, and I shaved it down to 10.8kg which made it significantly faster overall, and much nicer to carry around. Changing to a lightweight aluminiun or carbon fork will make a huge difference on its own. After that, you can change smaller things like installing TPU inner tube, carbon seat post, carbon saddle, lighter handlebar and stem. Then you could convert it to a 1x system where is only one chainring (called a "narrow wide") at the front meaning you cut out the front derailleur and shifter, shaving off more weight and making the bike simpler to maintain and use. But I think you should just ride it first. Maybe ask someone to borrow their 29 inch wheel bike too because, as much as I hate to admit it, 29 inch wheels are just much more comfortable to ride.1 point -

It is a real .357 speed loader, the shells in it are spare ones for the Ares which look like jacketed SP ones. No the moon clip is a flat metal thing, this is a real speed loader I have from back in the day for my S&W .3571 point -
I think they are exactly the same gun, you are just paying for the asg branding. On a side note the tm properly replicates the receiver and controls where as the de/asg is just their standard tri-shot receiver with a spas like front end and grip. Edit, just looked it does have the right receiver not sure if it was an earlier model I came across or maybe a golden eagle one. But they are more than likely the same thing.1 point

What Do You Want

@Airsoft_Ginie, sorry, don't believe a word of it, without context, the "large airsoft company" you supposedly work for will either supply products as a wholesaler/retailer, or gameday services as a site, but your post alludes to "everything airsoft" being something you have the potential to supply or fix ?. I call bullshit on your post👎1 point -

Impact grenades aren't for woodland or soft surfaces. I think all of them have the same issue regarding not going off more or less. My only solution is/was to buy softer primers. I had fiocchi before and struggled a lot even indoor. Bought cci/federal because someone recommended me in a shop and my bfg success rate is about 70-80% instead of 50 so this is what it is. 🤣 I'm certain you need a certain height/trajectory as well to make them more deadly. My bfg doesn't go off from ankle/kneecap height regardless what I do.1 point

I'm new to the forum as I've only recently signed up to buy stuff from the classifieds (at Ollie's recommendation). I know how much of an impact Ollie had on the community so thought you all deserve an update, but I'm afraid that I've only got crap news. Ollie went into hospital at the end of last week for a procedure. Myself and few other friends from our school days went to visit from Norfolk anyway. Ollie's blood pressure was very low Saturday and he had very limited bursts of consciousness. They managed to stabilise him and they were hoping to get him back home for Sunday. Unfortunately he continued to decline and when we rocked up at 11:40ish we where invited into his room by his family. Over the next hour or so we swapped stories about our shenanigans with Ollie over the years, and at some point Ollie seamlessly transitioned from this plane of existence with a smile on his face surrounded by people that loved him. Ollie was very brave at the end.0 points
