  1. I hope this is ok. This year both myself and my partner are running the 2023 London Marathon for charity. Neither of us are in the greatest shape so its going to be a bot of an undertaking as you can imagine. And yes i have heard all the gags about 'it would be easier to drive it' 'London has an underground system you know' etc. We are both running in aid of ABF the soldiers charity as i am em British Army and we both have a family and friends who have served and in some cases given their all for us. So aside from the kudos you can guess why i am posting here. Fundraising. Charity places come with a pretty heft target and i was hoping (if its ok with admins, if it isnt i guess delete the post) to bump along some extra pennies for the charity. I have a few ideas that are posted on the linked page Anyways, i hope this is ok and i appredciate any shares of the fundraising page, support or donations that anyone can give. 2. Belated quick review of last Fridays evening session at Tier 1 CQB in Cornwall. My son and I arrived a bit early to get gear ready and were surprised to see how busy the prep area was. Some good players in and had a near full house with evenly matched teams. The owner of the site Josh was, as always, a good marshal and gives a very firm and fair briefing before every game. Lots of variety in the games from TDM to cops and robbers. The venue has recently been re configured and the new layout works really well. The 2.45 hour sesh was over in a flash with some excellent exchanges and teamwork. The Tier 1 indoor venue is an absolute hidden gem down here in gods country (Cornwall), with regular evenings for both walk ins and rentals accommodated for.

  6. Another chilly, but dry day means it was a good day for me today. M700 is still shooting really, really nicely and I got a LOT of people as it was a pretty target rich environment with 90 players on site. First two games were brilliant, with me finding a few new angles to exploit with the sniper rifle, but by the end of the 2nd game I could see people getting frustrated. What this translated to was a snowball on both teams of absolutely laughable hit taking up to and after lunch. There was one guy who I kept picking off in the 2nd game, but after lunch I was watching my .48s bounce off him and he just ignored them, even after recoiling from the hit after I sent one into his cheek. Took cover behind the tree again and then started spraying around the corner. When you have days with hit taking like that, you've got to laugh it off; letting it get to you just ruins your day, so I don't let it get to me and just laugh at the ridiculousness of it. Also spent a little time setting up my SR-25, but while it was 1.17J with the hop off, when I applied enough to properly hop .32s the power was down to 0.63J (though it was floating the BBs out to a 50m target without issue), so I'll be sticking a bigger spring in it to get the power up to where it should be. Thankfully it's a quick change spring, so it's pretty easy to tweak. However, I wasn't feeling the mp7 today. It's an AEP, so it works in all weathers, but I just prefer pistols (including the NBB mk23) or GBB SMGs. I can't explain it, I just prefer pistols and they're a bit more manoeuvrable. That said, I didn't need to use the mp7 in game once today. Nobody got within my MED as when they pushed up I elected to bug out instead of staying and fighting. Falling back to another position and hitting them again is far more useful than staying in position and letting them swarm all over you, but it definitely takes it out of you. Just glad my fitness routine is paying off now as I'm able to play a bit more mobile (which is usually for falling back because if I'm advancing it's usually a slow crawl instead). Very much enjoying the m700 though. Definitely my favourite gun at the moment because it's silent, it feels like a real rifle as opposed to my VSR which definitely feels like a toy gun, and I can run it at either 2.3J or 1.1J and it works well at both powers (obviously with some hop adjustment). Roll on next game day, though what I'm really looking forward to is the first Vietnam game at Eversley in April!!!

  8. Can I just say this is what peak performance looked like in 2005 and I love it . Sadly though I’ve got wayyyyy too many other WA pistols that I need to shift myself . good luck with the sale for this classic piece for a vintage collection !

    Loss of about 200fps

To give you an idea Maple Leaf lips are 1.9mm long, whereas most are around 1.2mm (I think, need to check, got all measurements round here somewhere). Also the aperture of the Maple Leaf is wide enough to park a bus, ok so wide enough to let a BB fall through without any encouragement, whereas standard buckings a BB will sit on top of the whole waiting for a little tap to proceed. Ditch the Maple Leaf for now and try just a regular bucking for now.

  10. Picked up a smaller chest rig earlier and I think I'm pretty happy with it, I found my plate carrier obstructed my shouldering the weapon so this is ideal. Going for a sort of not jeans and plaid shirt PMC look, next step grow a big beard right?

  12. I've got one on pre-order. But, I'm a bit of a Silverback slag so they could release a steaming poop and I'd still buy one even if it were a wall hanger. Planning on using mine as a DMR, but we'll see how it feels once it arrives. Biggest issue for me so far is the battery compartment, or rather the lack of one. It's unable to fit a Titan battery in it, which is a bit of a shame given it's a Bullpup, and usually the space above the barrel is used for batteries. First mod will probably be a battery relocation cable!

  13. Is Temperate Vegetato really considered Gucci now? Heck it was my first uniform haha. Anyway, while the full kit got held up in customs until - funnily enough - today it was nice to run the Tropentarn kit at Op Stonebreaker the past weekend. Now that the rest of the stuff's arrived Ill have to do a full kit pic sometime before Op Firestorm in late April. The Black Cherry preformed well, though there were some odd FPS fluctuations I still have to sort out I suppose.
