  1. Can't beat Airsoft and Sex Toys 🙂

  2. Here is a shot of it now that I've finished the respray. When I got it the upper body was made of that two tone blue plastic, rather than being a black one with a retailer spray job. Mag and lower reciever are the original black finish from the factory. I'm very happy with the match. I also opened up the mag and sprayed the fake rounds to look more realistic. The M4 stock is on a 3D printed adaptor and it still folds flat against the body when stowed. The lower rail section under the forend was missing and the bolt holes were partially stripped so I sourced a new bit of rail section and some more bolts. It's now permanently attached, as the best way of attaching the new section was to JB weld the bolts into the rail section and then more JB weld to fix the bolts into the holes. It looks proper and it's plenty strong enough to be used for attachments. Over all I'm happy with the way it's turned out. Pre-covid and the shipping crisis, I would like to have picked up a metal outer barrel for it and fitted a suppressor and a longer inner barrel, but those are like rocking-horse poo these days so it will have to go without. It's nicely shimmed and lubed internally. Chronos about 330fps on 0.2g BBs I would say vinyl dye and a matt lacquer top coat is a success.

  3. OK, sounds like a steel bodied CYMA for me then! Thanks @Impulse No worries @Skara, glad I asked because some of those guns look very tempting to spend an extra bit of cash on to get a few extras!

  4. Airsoft is banned in China, has been for years, along with anything remotely associated it seems. I've heard that banning of most gel blasters is on it's way as well. Aliexpress is just slow at making sure it complies. Companies like CYMA, E&C, JG, ZCI etc must have a special license. You can still ship Airsoft gear out of HK since it's running on a "special status", 1 country 2 systems they call it. That's due to stop in 2047, however every year Beijing seem to clamp down a little bit more. 2000 - 2010, HK stores were pretty dominate in the Airsoft world.

  5. Hello, 1) Depending on which flavour of MOSFET/FCU you buy, it does much more than simply prolonging the trigger contacts life. Most notable features are cycle detection and active brake, they make sure the gearbox stops its cycle in the same spot every time and mitigates lockups; More "high end" units will have precocking, binary fire, adjustable levels on both AB/Precocking, adjustable trigger sensitivity, but these functions are mostly for hardcore CQB use 2) Generally, yes, except for ARES guns, they're shit and their EFCS is equally as bad, avoid. Depends on where you play though, if you only play at woodland sites in full auto, an FCU isn't strictly necessary but still nice to have, even if you're a beginner; 3) Definitely, avoid shady stuff like KWA, Ares, weird shaped guns with non standard gearboxes (Cyma SVD and VFC MP7 come to mind). Every gun will break at some point, tolerances and quality of parts matter but it's still a question of "when", not "if"; 4) "upgraded out of the box" doesn't really make any sense. Parts that the manufacturer installs in the factory, even if fancy, don't count as "upgrades". Also most "upgrades" are shit anyway because bad quality - bad installation - bad QC so you may end up replacing them anyway. To answer your specific question, a VFC based Cyma AK will be an inexpensive gun that you can upgrade (for real) later on. I'd also stay clear of anything with a barrel length greater than 10/12" since this parameter matters sod all in airsoft, in some cases a longer inner barrel gives nothing but troubles; 5) it's just as easy as your average M4, once you accept the fact that AK magazines are shit (regardless of the brand) and won't feed on high RPM builds.. don't ask how I know . Externals are heavier and generally require a hammer + dremel combo to properly fit, but look infinitely better than the average instagram operator M4.

  6. Straight, short, zero effort: I think these play fast and loose with the concept of "bolt action" given that they can shoot faster than semi-auto DMRs are meant to shoot at most sites.

  10. Seems that Aliexpress has banned all airsoft items! That explains why there's bugger all decent gear to be had there now!

  11. Bone yard Specna M249 MK1 from patrol Base. Other than the snapped carrying handle (the reason it was a bone yard) , which I'm not remotly bothered about it all seems good and un marked. It's the polymer body but has the 'standard' LMG box and hop unit . I suspect the internals are A&K . Box mag works as it should etc. Acording to the box it's upgraded, does look to have a prommy purple hop rubber . What other 'upgrades' are in there are anyones guess tbh. Fitted a spare heat shield cover to it.

  13. You can get really silly with it with a bar to operate it with the left hand so you don't even have to come off the trigger. That said, I've been considering HPA'ing an SRS just because my arm's buggered and I can't pull the spring at present. (It's either that or get a TAC41 and try to learn to shoot left handed)

  15. I tried to make this point in a Facebook group and I just had a load of people trying to claim to that you can run a Springer bolt action just as fast. Then when I pointed out that you could use these setups to run the action without interrupting your sight so they pointed to the srs and other replicas of more modern platforms that you can cycle the bolt without taking your eye off the scope completely missing my point.

  17. Take everything I say with a pinch of salt; AEGs aren't really my thing and I prefer gas guns. 1. I've never used a MOSFET in any AEG I've owned, so I wouldn't say they're necessary. They're nice for sure, and I'll be shoving a WARFET into my m14 and considering some sort of MOSFET for the SR-25 as well, but they aren't a necessity. 2. For me it wouldn't be a deal breaker. Can always get one later on if needed. 3. Yes. Good aftermarket part support is needed. You don't need to get something with a V2/V3 gearbox, though they have the most parts availability. It's why I love the TM/Cyma m14s and hate the G&G ones; you can get loads of parts for a TM / Cyma v7 gearbox, but G&G do weird proprietary things. 4. I used to be all about getting expensive that just works well out of the box (TM guns, especially their NGRS stuff), but now I'm very much a Cyma shill instead. You can get a steel/wood Cyma AK for under £200 and it'll work well enough out of the box, maybe just swap out the hop rubber and nub at first. Then you can save up for some sort of nasty internals over time and the stock ones will generally stand up to general use. Upgrades are far better if you (or a reliable tech if you're like me and gearboxes are literal kryptonite) do them yourself; "out of the box" upgrades are usually kinda crap and cost more than you'd pay to get them done yourself. 5. AKs are fairly easy to upgrade. V3 gearboxes are the 2nd most common after V2s

  20. Went for a curry the other day, when ordering the waiter suggested I try a Chicken Tarka. I asked what it was like and he said it was similar to a Chicken Tikka, but just a little otter. (fully accept that some of our younger members may need to use google to 'get' this one) 😂

  24. That's a shame. I saw the neg air video on the real sword and that looks like a nightmare and he complained about the design of one of the cheaper versions too if I remember. Personally I'm not a fan of hpa anyway

  25. My friend shoved a Wolverine Hydra Gen2 into his Real Sword SVD because the stock internals shattered and Real Sword never sent him his replacement (they told him they would, but we both reckon they're out of business or something as he has pestered them for over 2 years) The only downsides are that it uses AEG hop rubbers and not VSR rubbers and it requires a bit of tweaking to get it just right (need a shorter inner barrel for a 1.1J build), but it's probably the best semi-auto SVD build I've seen.

  27. Yes, airsoft isn't life. We have other commitments, responsibilities and..... Free time. If you've been threatened contact the police. If you list something expect responses or offers (you should receive emails from the forum for all direct messages so no excuses as a response takes 5 mins). If you take someone's money and don't oblige by keeping your side of the deal, then there's no equilibrium.. You're in the wrong. Don't blame the tool you use (forum). Learn how to use it properly. Buyers may flare up if they've given you their last £30 for the month on some used ex sf gucci wangers or whatever, that purchase may have been a big deal to them. Respect goes along way. I hope you resolve all issues concerning the OP and continue to be a valued member. No need to fall out. Its not football. Take care and love one another. Yours, Jerry springer

  28. I have just bought a bunch of these FBS M38 Multibangs (vid related) which are twist off and strike. Reckon they'd be allowed? Or would I have to change out for different ones? They're great fun and surprise the shit out of people when they go off multiple times. It'll be a while before I head up there, my current schedule at work has me working an unfair amount of weekends. Do their Sundays last all day or is just morning/afternoon sessions?

One of my buddies used to travel from Edinburgh to play there (about a 3 hour drive) He raved about it, the size, the cqb, the container village He badgered me to head down with him, I never made it. Then all of a sudden he went in a strop and sold up all of his kit!! I wonder if it was a coincidence 😂

  33. I only have two gripes with the TM HK45, though it is my favourite GBB pistol I currently own in terms of aesthetic, ergonomics and just how quiet it is for a GBB. One issue is that the mags are the pin design (like most pistols) rather than the screw design like Hi-Capa, p226 or 1911 mags which makes them awful to work on if they spring a leak. The other issue is that either mine was a bit of a lemon, or the hop unit doesn't like engaging all the way, with the hop arm catching on the adjustment wheel about 2/3 of the way. This meant that I couldn't hop .32s which is what I tend to use in all of my other 1.1J builds, be they rifle or pistol, plus I think the H-plate was applying hop slightly unevenly, just looking at the deformation in the rubber when inspecting through the barrel with hop applied. So imagine how happy I was to find out that the guys at Hadron had come out with an outer barrel assembly for the TM HK45 with TDC and a H-arm to go with it. Forgot to take pictures before installing it, but I'm pleased so far. The deformation in the rubber now is far more even and I am sure I can apply enough hop for .32s now with the 50 degree ML autobot in there, though if not I'll slap a 60 degree in because I prefer them for air seal and have a spare anyway. Will test next game day (that's 4th Dec for me), as I want to be able to run .32s for the most part or .28s if I go to an event that limits ammo weight. Don't care about heavier because it's generally my shooting-within-MED or moving-around-the-site gun so I'll typically be shooting fairly close with it but want it to be able to hit the 50m just in case I need to engage quickly while moving around the woodland.

    THE TM MWS thread

I’ve been having way too much fun here. Let me explain...... So, I wanted to try out a Unity mount on the MWS and wasn’t sure if I’d want to spend £200 on the real deal. I mean what if I didn’t like it? It’s a lot of money to spend on a real steel mount especially if you don’t like it afterwards. So fortunately Unity provide a template which you can download and create a mock up model of the mount. So guess what I did. Yup. Craft time 😂 Whatcha think fellas? Cerakote it? 😂. On a serious note the mount is pretty tall. It’s a 2.26inch variant which gives you a better shooting position when looking down the barrel. So based on this would you buy one?
