If you can find someone who understands that, and they're choosing between two otherwise equivalent cars, and they think that the extra you're asking is worth it. Trying to flog a 10 year old car for essentially the same price as a new one because half the parts on it are under 10 years old and it's got a dustbin exhaust is... optimistic. But you do have to find one. I don't grudge people trying to find their unicorn buyer, but while they wait and wait and wait I'm going to 🍿 it out.3 points

Here's me looking a bit awkward, twice. - Russian 'Flecktarn-D' camo (Kula Tactical) - Heavily modified (by yours truly) Chicom & scrote pouch - Mich helmet with Pencott green zone cover (from my other loadout) - Bolle x800 (highly recommend) - Mechanix gloves - Cyma AK - Battle belt, with Dynatec BFG 9mm (timed) in a pouch, Russian water bottle pouch (out of shot), dump pouch (out of shot), Blackhawk silencer pouch (that I use for carrying spare mk5's, also out of shot), WE Makarov (silver...for stealth) in an original soviet closed leather holster (out of shot), general purpose pouch (for extra ammo, spare mags, etc. out of shot). All pouches are OD. The Russian gear purists will probably balk at this cobbled together bunch of stuff, but it works for me. My regular sites are woodland, as you can probably tell, but this was taken today at 'Invicta Battlefield Black Site' in Kent - a great new site; CQB, with great games, balanced rules, and brilliant marshalls.2 points -
I've wired a mosfet in the grip of my JG V61 and wanted to run it with a lipo stored in a pouch by connecting it through a coiled cable. I bought a coiled shaver charging cable, wired it with deans and connected it to the 7.4V lipo battery and mosfet. The gun fires fine when the battery is connected directly to the mosfet but it doesn't fire when connected through the coiled cable. I checked the positive and negatives are soldered the right way. I can feel the coiled cable getting very hot and suspect the few wispy strands of wires are too thin to carry the 20-30 Amp rating of the battery. Trouble is that going by this I would need a 2.5mm core cable to carry 20-30 amps https://www.energy-solutions.co.uk/technical-information and I can't seem to find reasonably priced coiled cables that thick. I think the default cabling in most AEGs is 18AWG which is 0.75mm square and 16AWG is 1.5mm. What coiled cables is everyone else using that work?1 point

As the owner of an SA-A03 I'd take the B02 every day. E&C are still the OEM for the One series, personally I wouldn't say the potential for issues from the Edge series is worth the bonus of a quick change spring and maybe an Aster mosfet.1 point

Cutoff lever preventing semi auto

Problem solved. I'd forgotten that at some point my trigger trolly had broken and I had to shave down a couple of bits to make it sit level. This meant that the trolly didn't sit right for the col to push it up enough to cut off properly. I just glued a thin piece of plastic to the trolly where the col should hit it, and problem solved.1 point -
They won't handle the current. @emit I do wonder why you want a coiled cable in the first place to be honest. I'd go for a silicone insulated normal cable (they're more flexible than PVC) and maybe consider sheathing it in some mesh cable tidy braided tube. As you've discovered, 30 Amp coiled cable is expensive (and heavy on account of the sheer amount of cable involved).1 point

When you say you put a new mag in, did you mean you just reloaded the same mag or is it a different mag? If different is the 1st one feeding alright and are they the same make of mag? If two different mags and ones feeding you have either have broken mag or an incompatible mag. I Agree with Adolf hamster it will be a case of BBs bouncing of the tracer. This could be due to over hop or the tracer could be miss aligned on the thread. Other possibility if you have the long nuprol tracer its actual muzzle can be too narrow and clip BBs as they exit.1 point

the clanging sound (accompanied by bb's going in weird directions) sounds like you're clipping the tracer. the feeding issue, is this a hi-cap mag? are you sure it's both full of ammo and fully wound?1 point -

it can be subjective, if they're name dropping a tech that the buyer deems as reputable (ie that their work will actually improve performance) then it can, but that'll depend a lot on the buyers experience with that tech. i don't know dave's reputation well enough to comment wether or not that applies in this case.1 point -

It's an interesting question. When it comes to cars, getting a timing belt replaced can be a major job where the belt costs sod-all, but the engine-out nature of the work adds up to a lot of man-hours and a big expense. So having that work already done on an older car is definitely a selling point that adds to the price. Of course in the car world cosmetic mods usually add feck-all value (and can even detract) whereas in airsoft the bling often gets the bucks So not necessarily comparable. Especially as many of us will be willing to give anything a go ourselves. I would say the Dave's custom packages have a clearly defined, easy to understand set of parts, which in turn makes that labour charge more understandable... plus Dave's upgrades are pretty expensive. So to me I can understand why this chap is trying to punt at a high price. Someone uncomfortable with doing their own tech and who doesn't trust other bedroom techs to do a good job might find this appealing - and worth the outlay. That might be a very small target audience - but he only needs one...!1 point -

it is an amazing bit of kit. yes, the muzzle flash can give your position away, but that doesnt bother me too much given the sites i play at and the way i play. it is surprising how well it lights up white bbs. i run it all the time on my tippmann, and just unscrew it from the barrel if i decide i want to be super sneaky. i do have a mildly amusing tale regarding my bifrost.... i used it at apocalypse airsoft a couple of weeks after it got released (having ordered directly from acetech, i got it in my hands before any of the airsoft shops i use), as well as TAG rounds from the M320 mounted on my tippmann. one of the enemy players approached me in the safe zone as i was reloading the TAG shells and asked if i was the one with the rainbow tracer as well as the TAG rounds. when i confirmed that i was, this player told me that i had confirmed his fears and then revealed to me that some of the blue team had associated the TAGs and the rainbow flash... and that when they saw the muzzle flash, they turned and ran the opposite way.. so the bifrost can be used as a tool of intimidation in the right circumstances1 point

Is a very interesting question to which I didn't come up with a great answer with I considered doing this myself, for much the same reason: most coiled cables that I looked at were intended for very low amperage applications, and thicker wiring isn't as easily available in springy coils. You could form your own coil by winding some higher rated cable around a mandrel (and a heat cycle would probably help), but a coil will add significantly more length of wire than you actually need, with resistance scaling with length. So if I were to do it now, I reckon I'd just use a straight run of mains power cable (an old kettle lead or similar) starting from my shoulder as a simple lanyard, rather than a coil. As I already use a lanyard with pistols anyway, it would just be a matter of switching from paracord to cable.1 point

I think musician Peter Gabriel is secretly an airsofter. The give away is a verse from Games without Frontiers "Andre has a red flag, Chiang Ching's is blue (usual armband colours) They all have hills to fly them on except for Lin Tai Yu (Lin didn't get any of the objectives) Dressing up in costumes, playing silly games Hiding out in tree-tops shouting out rude names" (Sounds like a typical Sunday skirmish)1 point -
Well to be fair high ROF is simply a side effect of achieving fast trigger response and cycle time. I'm sure that back when MOSFETs were not a thing (and most importantly we didn't have dickheads posting on YouTube) nobody really complained about being peppered by 30 RPS guns.1 point

Has been a funny few days. Started off doing the airseal which for some reason dropped the fps by 5 or so but was more consistent. (Could be due to friction of the oring) I noticed that the CM048m Nozzle length is the shorter nozzle instead of the longer one. The longer one worked perfectly fine but I think having the intended length is probably best so I swapped to the shorter one. I also then started upgrading springs as the one in the gearbox from stock (I take it whoever supplied PB with the cyma aks puts these terrible springs in to get under 350fps). I was recommended a m105 by ak2m4 and to our surprise it was shooting at 400fps. I also bought a ZCI M100 at the same time to drop in if the 105 was too high and that is still a bit hot at 370. I'm thinking I should now get a m95 or m90 and go from there. Once I got it where I like it I will do a bit of a in depth guide for the gun as a whole on recommended parts and etc.1 point

Heavier BB vs Higher FPS

Absolutely true, and they are a wonder to behold. But in my experience, that's the exception not the norm. I'm more than happy for people to bodge their TM's with upgrades as it means I'm less likely to get shot as I bimble around at a skirmish.1 point -
Heavier BB vs Higher FPS
MandalShArK reacted to Rogerborg for a topic
Because TMs are designed to run at under 1J for the Japanese market, so then you get into a cycle of replacing all the TM bits until eventually you end up listing your £1200 worth of random parts in the classifieds for £800 as "shoots like a laser, in theory, just can't get it to work, probably an easy fix though". All apocryphally, it's not something that I want to spend £500+ to investigate. Since I'm in a meme-mood...1 point
