    THE TM MWS thread

I'm honoured to have my MRE build featured on ATRG's blog. https://atrg.blog/2021/05/18/build-showcase-kilo-3-romeos-mws-mre/ Hopefully more exposure of how amazing the MWS is will add more to the GBBR Master Race! 😂

  3. Well, I picked up some free stuff from a player who has given up and returning to Englandshire soon and he didn’t want to be burdened with trying to sell his old gear when he had exams to concentrate on. The conversation diverted to his unused RIF’s which I agreed to purchase unseen and agreed a price as he was confident they were needing repair due to sitting for so long I spent over an hour with my head & a toothbrush in a basin of unleaded and turned this…… (GHK gbbr) into this…… It came with 5 mags which needed a quick blast of service gas through for the seals and it works perfectly My new favourite RIF I’m VERY happy with it

  4. Just messaged the owner of my local airsoft sites, and gave him a link to this thread, to prewarn him incase this individual migrates to their facebook pages... Might be worth everyone doing the same with their local sites too... if we can get word out about the poor quality and lack of safety ceertificates, plus his poor "salesman" attitude it will prevent some less informed newbie making a mistake in buying one... or worse, someone loses an eye

  5. Just picked up a supposedly used GHK m4 which after removing the two tone is in like new condition underneath. An hour or so of unleaded fumes turned the ugly duckling into my new fave RIF

  6. I don't plan to abandon the project. I plan to keep it growing into something more than just a handy list of sites. If I can earn a little while doing it, awesome, but it would have to happen organically, as I don't plan to plaster ads all over it, just to keep the lights on. That's not my kind of game. As soon as I have 100+ sites, I'll be looking at adding a monthly/weekly newsletter which will be covering what's up in the industry, and keeping folks up-to-date about our favourite pastime, maybe a blog section for long-form content, such as reviews, news and community created content (guest posts?). Let me know if you guys fancy any of that, as I don't want to sink time into something that won't be helpful/entertaining. If you've got ideas, I'm all ears too! Can't make any promises, but I'll definitely listen.

  12. Owns one for skiing etc, or mistakenly bought one of the bodged up obscenities he's marketed ? If its the latter, how did he pay ?, be great if it was paypal, maybe initiate a claim, if successful it would pave the way for the other buyers to very publicly do the same, close this clown 🤡 down before anyone gets hurt 😭 🤕

  13. I've been in contact with someone that owns one of these helmets. He says that he won't be using it, but will be testing the lens and filming it. He also says that the lens does not lock in the down position (so no detent or button to lift the lens), however it needs a bit of force to move it up and down. I should think that with a bit of usage it would loosen up as the pivot point wears down. I am concerned that you could potentially end up with a lens that lifts up should you fall against a wall or tree in a downwards fall/slide. I once face-planted a tree playing Paintball - with my face sliding down the trunk (umm...phrasing) on the way down. The googles took the impact and just about remained attached to my head - sliding halfway up my face with the lower mouth guard still covering my eyes - still, not great but better than nothing. But all new Paintball goggles are now fitted with chin-straps (that have become a mandatory requirement at tournaments) to stop them sliding up in a fall. However, in the context of this 'product', the helmet is firmly attached to your head with a chin strap, but the lens is still free to move up and down.

  14. this is a fair assessment, i have the same thing with chrono'ing, it's amazing how so many places look at a correct joule reading on .48g bb's and remark that the fps looks low. kinda scary really how easily bypassed it is (and lets not get started on swapping guns mid day/in game chrono'ing) it's not like decent eye pro is that expensive either, certainly i've never spent as much on eyepro as this guy is charging for his questionable helmet.

    What have you made?

Almost done just ran out of green cotton but here is the “fabled” reverse bandoleer I’ve been working on-off-on, but I thought I would share and yes I know the MC pattern is not correct but when some things are on it’s not super noticeable

  18. Check out TacBelts on Instagram. I picked up a multicam minimalist 2 point sling that I run on my AK, took 4 days to be made / arrive at my door. It’s excellent quality, attention to detail is on par with kit from bigger brands...plus you’d be supporting a small uk business so should make you feel all warm and fluffy.

  19. Haha, yeah same here. The way it's worded now is much better so my comment is largely unneeded. I tend to add edits to the bottom so the flow of the conversation is a little easier to follow.

  20. @GothicGhost yes, but you might have to unscrew the buffertube 1-2 revolutions for the bolt lock to engage or get a lightweight bolt stop. Someone advised to not fully tighten the bad lever around the bolt lock. I don’t know why. Still waiting for mine from AliExpress...

  21. 100% agree with you , most marshals on site are there with the best intentions to try and keep the day safe and ensure everyone has a great day(and make a few beer tokens from there favored hobby as well) but any man and his dog can stick a hi-vis jacket on and say I’m a marshal . How many times have we come across marshals that haven’t even been playing that long or have never actually played because it’s a paintball site that’s started running Airsofting as well ?(Christ I’ve come across more than a few who weren’t even born when I started playing !) nothing against them young’uns but even with the best intentions experience can’t be taught it has to be learned . so yea when you get some player turning up with this piece of shit stuck on his Mellon saying “look at my awesome helmet ! Cost my mum and dad £130 so it must be ‘speshal farces‘ issue !” A lot will be blinded by the price tag and think it’s a kosher helmet ?

  29. I don't really know a way around it when chrono'ing can already take far too long as is and, being rudely but entirely honest, I know personally I have way more knowledge of eye pro in general than ~80-90% of the people I've seen employed as marshalls at airsoft sites. It takes a real truck load of experience to be able to recognise what's real and up to the job and what might be a pretty good fake set of ESS/Revision etc. Because there's about 100k options out there for things that cover your eyes but can still be seen through. The thing that worries me and I'm sure many others, is that I go in to games in full seal goggles that will stop shotgun birdshot from pretty close, but so many people want to spend £7 on some 'cool looking' piece of TMC turd or a big jet pilot visor with a giant gap (or both) and then I'll feel guilty if I shoot the bb that causes someone to lose half their eyesight forever.

  30. If he does actually send me a letter and is kind enough to include a return address I'm forking out for first class tracked postage to sent him a single sheet of A4 paper that just says "go fuck yourself"
    1 point
  31. Well fuck me sideways with a 10ft Barge Pole. Just when you think he couldn't conjure up more stupid, he delivers it with aplomb. Whilst I've never directly contacted him regarding this, I would love my day in court if his solicitor is A) real and B) actually thinks there's a viable case. I cannot believe the arrogance of the guy.

  32. You chaps forget, he has his google solicitor and is beasting his printer tonight. Expect your generic cease and desist letter on a second class letter.

  34. 'Issued there (their 🤦‍♂️) paper work' What an absolute character this chap is turning out to be haha. I too expect the solicitor thing is entirely a bluff, because any legal advisor worth their salt would have the same first question as every fucker else. That being "Do you have test certification to show they meet safety standards to be used for what you're selling them for?" 🤡

  36. Just been informed that I had post go up in one of the Facebook groups from this shitlord calling me out and bringing my family into it. Didn't even get a chance to see it it was taken down so fast. Just to reiterate I have no personal stake in this. I don't know then guy, I don't have any products that would be considered a competitor I just don't want to see people get hurt.

  37. Hi lads hope we all had a nice weekend! So, my package arrived! No border force tape, despite them taking possessition of the package for a day. TG dont pay extra for weekend delivery, otherwise I'd have got my package on Saturday rather than today. With that in mind, my order from the time of being handed over to UPS to it's delivery took 9 days. That's even including border force taking it into their possession. Safe to say that things are back on track for orders going forward. Of course It's worth noting I got lucky with UPS not losing my package multiple times. 4/5/21 - Order placed6/5/21 - Order shipped 11/5/21 - Stanford Le Hope 13/5/21 - Firearm Decliration 13/5/21 - Border Force Took 14/5/21 - Border Force Released / Paid fees £81 (for a £283 valued order) 15/5/21 - Departed SLH (1am) 15/5/21 - Arrived at local depot (2am) (Would have been delivered to me that morning, if not for weekend) 17/5/21 - Delivered late morning

  41. MED is all well and fine but what happens when someone wearing this junk’o’helmet runs past as a sniper lets loose a .48 and the runner is like 5 metres away. As a glasses weaver I have a limited but some extra protection if the unthinkable happens to me but my good ole bollé safety goggles can handle a “CQB BB to the face” so I’m happy enough and I’m saving £130 too
    1 point
  42. remember having a debate a while back on here someone was suggesting that the ol' point blank with a bolty was ott because snipers have MED. i must admit part of me envied them if they've never run into a spicy pew, or med breaker in their entire airsofting careers.

  43. Totally with you on this , your a one man band ? good for you trying to run your own business BUT if your having problems it shouldn’t affect me the customer , you’ve taken my money so you have an obligation to get what ever to me in a reasonable time , if your ‘snowed under’ with orders you either post it on your business home page to warn potential customers because if you don’t either by accident or on purpose then that’s on you so not the customers problem . End off . In the end I got the flash hider from Aliexpress (with correct markings and all) for £13.48 with free P&P.

  45. 1) It doesn't cycle. 2) It's got polished slide rails for smoother cycling. I think this is a good example of why this thread exists. As a warning against paying that kind of money, for that kind of gun.

  48. Is he licensed to produce and sell ‘safety equipment’ ? Think that’ll be a very big “NO WAY” definitely report to admin and Facebook as well for selling counterfeit gear(I know it’s not a copy of anything but I’m not sure how to report ripping off people by selling ‘shonky Chinese tat‘ ?😉)👍 PS what FB group is it ?

  49. PM away... if there really are no issues with what hes selling, then he wont mind proving it... If not, then the likelyhood that hes flogging cheap shit thats actually dangerous to peoples eyesight is too big a risk to be allowed to continue

  50. Some neat little bungee cord buckles which can be used (in place of rubber bands/ranger bands) to hold cables on handguards, slings in transit etc. Saves having to remove items to get the band down the handguard etc And can be threaded through gaps like on the AFG below
