  2. I've had a couple of Hwasans. The faults are 1. The triggers are just plungers so are a bit odd to use 2. The triggers are made from edam and break 3. Expensive and finnicky shells I've also done 3 denix 1878 coach gun conversions. The faults are 1. Denix 1878s now don't open 2. They have to be drilled and pins added which is a little difficult 3. The sears are made from dairylea 4. Uses expensive and finnicky shells I bought a Umarex T4E. Took 10 minutes to remove the inner barrels, cut down slightly at the breach end, remove the rubber paintball retainers, and add 2.5 inches of 22mm copper pipe in each breach. Then, 1 minute per shell to make viable. I use spent 20g shells which I get bags of totally free from a local gunshop. They have to be trimmed and the primers knocked out and a 10mm hole drilled in the rear. I'm yet to paint it, but the results are that the shells hold 30bbs, have a proper sawn off spread, and are disposable. (Not that I want to lose them but it means I can eject and reload on the fly without worrying about shells at 10 quid a pop). It works that well I'm going to be buying a second. The downside is it's not as realistic as the 2 other options but it is well made, like the H8R, and is a genuinely useable shotgun.

    THE TM MWS thread

So long story short - i've put everything back, meaning, ML 410mm crazy jet, decepticon + omega nub, G&P reinforced nozzle set, dynamic precision enchanced sealing buffer, AG 170% nozzle return spring, G&P Nozzle NPAS 5.0... AND unscrewed buffer tube by one full cycle back... AND bolt lock works now, though not everytime on one of the mags, but it works pretty damn well, i dont want to give another turn because of what WildWeasel told me, so I will just wait out for HSB to arrive to me and then will try to give it another full rotation backwards and see the results But for now i am really happy with it, i've put my NPAS to shoot on 394FPS, and it holds it really REALLY god damn well, its WAY better than AG V2 NPAS (no surprise here, huh). I also got the G&P adjustable piston valve if for some reason G&P 5.0 NPAS will start failing me Thank you for your help guys, I really appreciate it and cant wait to field my gun to see the differences of the innerbarrel and bucking upgrade Have a nice one

  8. Well, an update! After deciding to bombard UPS on Facebook everyday, I've got nowhere....😂 But it's made me feel better!! Having not had a message back from Sammy after 13 hours I pestered them again and "Melanie" told me to contact TG for an update, I asked if they had actually sent TG an update or are you just wasting my time? Low and behold, I checked my emails and TG had said that after 2 months they would start the refund process. Apparently a "specialist team" will contact me from UPS to refund my fee's, or atleast discuss the options. All in all a quite sour experience! But oh well, you live and learn. I'll update again once I have some pennies back!

  9. I hope that ‘your armoury’ refers to ‘your armoury at work’ and not ‘your armoury in the garage containing the mountains of bangy ‘kit’ acquired via years in the infantry ....... and on another tack ....... My dad used to keep back the Russian hordes with nuclear missiles but wouldn’t let me play with them. In later years I would be given loads of old kit by the QMs etc when hanging around the offices and warehouses. He’s the one bulling his boots and my mothers the one holding the front bumper of one of their missile launchers.

  16. By removing the two tone paint you have modified it from an imitation firearm to a realistic imitation firearm, an offence under section 36. However, as you are going to be airsofting with it, you have a defence under section 37 (and the accompanying statutory instrument) to do so. So no, you don't need to repaint it, leave it as is.

TadsJ2 10p is similar diameter as a quarter dollar (I have both in my buffer tube) Once again kudos to fire support for helping me out as the John Wick fde bolt carrier from angry gun does not accept the standard size sealing buffer without binding in the bore (dp enhanced or Marui), additionally the gas key nozzle guide will pull straight off the slightly smaller screws on the top of the carrier. So in order to use this effectively with whatever nozzle you decide to use you will require the sealing buffer and the plastic guide gas key from angry gun to make it work effectively in my opinion. So hats off to fire support for helping me sort these items in time for my next game cheers lads. Aftermarket parts are turning into absolute nightmare for me, I wish to God I could just buy a standard bare Marui bolt from somewhere.

  19. I promised an update about the site, so here's something that I'm currently working on in my spare time. A highly requested feature: to browse sites using a map. Well, it's coming! Right now it's early days, but as you can see there's already a few sites on here. Both, the map and the list will be in sync, so what you'll see on the map will show on the list.

On a standard gun the HSB drops in with no adjustment. If you run much higher power and/or a lightweight bolt you may also need to unscrew 1 turn.

My HSB is in my country but it is stuck in sorting centre for 5 days already... called them, they said they will look into it, so fingers crossed i will get my HSB by the end of this week. Thanks Dave, will try to do this one turn at a time and hopefully one will be enough But as I understood, if I will put the HSB in I might have to unscrew buffer tube a little bit again ?

    THE TM MWS thread

@TadsJ2 your bolt speed is too fast, so the mag empty catch cannot catch in time. Yes the HSB will help this situation. Yes unscrew the buffer tube 1 turn at a time and re test.

The angle of those ARC rails genuinely made me 'lol' I know the answer but I'd love to see what a headset looks like mounted on them! 😂 Jokes aside I agree with @alxndrhll Fair enough if it was just some freak of a bump helmet, but when your offering eye protection that's really not something you can muck about with!

    THE TM MWS thread

If... you wind the tube out a couple of turns to give the bolt more time to catch you must add 10p's to the bottom of the buffer tube to pack it out or the bolt will over-travel and the screws on the top of the bolt will catch the top of your lower and destroy it making for a v costly mistake. Alternatively, buy a guns modify or similar lightweight bolt catch as it moves up faster after first checking it can move freely as I had a build up of dry chain lube making it move sluggish - the hook part should almost rattle up when you hit the bolt release catch.

    THE TM MWS thread

Might do, the bolt might be moving too fast for the catch to stop it, backing the buffer out 1 turn might be enough to do it. TBH you have tried everything else!

It's always good to see this BB debate bubbling along... there really isn't a right or wrong answer when it comes to BB's other than DONT USE NUPROLS in a MWS!!! Like anything with an MWS, no two will probably function the same but will do within tolerances. The science and engineering behind the MWS is such that different people will have varying results. This is so true in the case of BB's. What works well for one person may not necessarily work as good for another. I believe It's trial and error to some degree, not I deal I know but that's the platform we are working with.

  34. are they full of ammo? it's normal for a hicap to unwind when there's not enough ammo left in the hopper to keep the stack of bb's in the feed tube all the way up to the chamber.

  39. Since the Girandoni airifle was in action in 1779, and bested the standard muskets of the time, surely a 9.48g BB at 500fps is acceptable? You'd scream your hits for sure. All in the name of history.

  41. Site Name: Tilmanstone Works Contact details: N/A Website Address: (1) The Heresy Group - YouTube Facebook Page: The Heresy Group | Facebook Site Address: Tilmanstone Works Pike Rd, Eythorne, Dover, CT15 4ND A slightly different one this time around! I heard about The Heresy Groups "Ruckus 2.0" from a friend. THG hire out places that are not used as Airsoft sites on a regular basis, which introduces some interesting places. Coming into the Airsoft scene too late to enjoy UCAP Sandpit, I was quite eager to check out a full blown Quarry. The closest thing myself and @Albiscuithave played at being Imperium which has some Quarry sections. Tilmanstone Works is a largish outdoor site, most of which is an active Quarry, interspersed by Quarry hardware (Stone blocks, shipping containers, rusted out vehicles. There is plenty of elevation as well as a small valley of woodland vegetation. There are some very open areas, but there are always sections you can move through with more cover. The elevation itself can be used as cover. There are sections for short, medium and long distance engagements. So myself Albiscuit and 4 others decided to make our way on a sunny if windy day on 25/05/2021. Good: Playing Area: Very very good. We had reservations about the site being too open and somewhat boring, but were completely unfounded. An active quarry is both somewhat bleak, exposed and interesting at the same time. As mentioned in the intro, there is lots of elevation that can be used to both expose the opposing team, but also hide behind. There are lots of ditches, some woodland outcrops, concrete barriers, shipping containers and vehicles to hide behind. But in some areas it's open warfare with expanses of flat ground. If you are relatively fit, you can take advantage of the more esoteric approaches which can be ankle breaking if you're not careful, but can be utterly rewarding. Clientele: There was a large turnout, no problems with the clientele, heard very little to no grumbling throughout the day. A sense of comradery and people who were just happy to play something as unique as this place . Hit taking: Was very good. No complaints heard. Turn around time: There was little in the way of breaks. There were 4 different games and lunch. We didn't feel short changed. Marshalling: Very good, plenty of people around who encouraged people to get back out there from the spawn points. Safety Brief: Perfectly fine, covered everything, they had a physical representation of the blast radius of pyro which was helpful. There were no noobies for the day, so it was tailored towards experienced players. Chrono: Everyone's primaries were chronoed at the beginning of the day. 370 FPS for AEGs, 450 FPS for DMR and 500 FPS for BAR's. The players own BB weight for the day was used and rifles tagged. Value: £30, for something as unique as it is, I felt it was good value. Car Park/Entrance: Directions were easy to follow. The gates shut at 9:30, and there was a reception at the gate to take the money and sign in. The Car Park was based inside earth mounds with an auxiliary car park just outside that was more open to the elements. Shop: Multiple shops were on site including CamoRaids, Valkyrie BB's and a night vision for hire stand (Despite it not being a night game), it's more for promotion purposes. Raffle: Everyone likes a raffle, there was a free one for everyone as part of your entry fee. Two of the six of us even managed to win! Average: Game Modes/Brief: Not the typical attack and defend. There was a capture the flag game and a VIP game. There was a free for all at the end of the day, stages with the winners moving into the finals. It would have been good to know that we needed mobile phones to take photos of the VIP with other players on your team before we went out to the spawn point. I felt this sort of game is better suited to CQB sites like the Mall rather then something at an outdoor quarry. Bad: Safe Zone: It's not a true site, so there is no cover and everyone sets up from their cars. Toilets: No on-site facilities; was recommended to bring Wet Wipes ahead of time. Food: No food on-site; was recommended to bring our own ahead of time. COVID awareness: I didn't hear much if anything mentioned about social distancing or COVID awareness. There was no mask wearing in the safe zone. Also there was no pre-booking, so no control over numbers that could show up. Conclusion: We loved the day. We were very surprised in how good the playing area was and was utterly refreshing to play at over the usual outdoor site. We wish this was a proper full blown regular site and may be one we visit often despite the distance. We heard one guy had travelled all the way from Lincolnshire to play! A word of warning, you wont be washing your clothes after the day as much as beating them with a broom to get the dust out! We cant wait for Ruckus 3.0 and hope it will align with our schedules! What would be a great addition would be working Technical/Vehicles, if this could happen it would be amazing. The Heresy Group have run a very successful day despite the high winds and can be proud of themselves from that perspective. Very little has to improve if this continues to be a once in a while skirmish. Though having a pre-booking system in times of Covid would make me feel much better for turning up. Bullpup Watch: Very few; an SVU... I don't remember much else. Very little variance from M4 styles. Best Guess Map:

    What's Correct?

This is what I did, you can use a hairdryer to heat the glue that's holding the covering on to remove it, trim with some snips to shape then stick the covering back on 👍

  43. It may well be the bucking needs to bed in a bit before it'll 'play nice' with .32s. Might worth intermitently dipping back to .32s every thousand rounds or so to see... though the more expedient way (if .32s are what you want to use) would be to play around with different nubs/remove some material from the nub currently being used in Monkman's case. I'd never had any issues with .32s with mine, but admittedly my G&G green is anything but fresh out of the packet, I dread to think how many rounds that thing has seen. G&G may have also changed the design/material slightly since I picked mine up, but I feel like that'd be something plenty of folks would pick up on had that been the case given how many folks use them in a veriety of RIFs. Nevertheless, good to hear that shots aren't hooking anymore.

  44. @Monkman I took my MTW to Anzio camp yesterday and had exactly the same issue. I was easily over hopping 0.32's. I totally forgot I had a bag of 0.36's in my kit bag but ah well, never mind. I'm booking Anzio again for next month so will try the 0.36's then and report back! The swerving issue I had last time has now gone away. It may have just needed a rebuild but it got the new barrel, 1.0 arm and bucking instead. Wearing my KMCS with the MTW was brilliant once I got outside in the greener areas. Shot / had pinned down a decent amount of players by myself without them having a clue where I was.

  46. Urban Assault was my first site, i went loads of times. Great site, terrible marshalling and SUPER cliquey/boys club shit but the building to building firefights made up for all of it. Second place goes to the mall, terrible for airsoft in reality but it was so different and the people running it really put the effort in with the different game modes, always appreciated a silly one after a day of serious games (supermarket sweep!). Now it's just woodland, can't find an indoor site anyway. im bored of the woods
