  3. I've had a couple of Hwasans. The faults are 1. The triggers are just plungers so are a bit odd to use 2. The triggers are made from edam and break 3. Expensive and finnicky shells I've also done 3 denix 1878 coach gun conversions. The faults are 1. Denix 1878s now don't open 2. They have to be drilled and pins added which is a little difficult 3. The sears are made from dairylea 4. Uses expensive and finnicky shells I bought a Umarex T4E. Took 10 minutes to remove the inner barrels, cut down slightly at the breach end, remove the rubber paintball retainers, and add 2.5 inches of 22mm copper pipe in each breach. Then, 1 minute per shell to make viable. I use spent 20g shells which I get bags of totally free from a local gunshop. They have to be trimmed and the primers knocked out and a 10mm hole drilled in the rear. I'm yet to paint it, but the results are that the shells hold 30bbs, have a proper sawn off spread, and are disposable. (Not that I want to lose them but it means I can eject and reload on the fly without worrying about shells at 10 quid a pop). It works that well I'm going to be buying a second. The downside is it's not as realistic as the 2 other options but it is well made, like the H8R, and is a genuinely useable shotgun.

    THE TM MWS thread

So long story short - i've put everything back, meaning, ML 410mm crazy jet, decepticon + omega nub, G&P reinforced nozzle set, dynamic precision enchanced sealing buffer, AG 170% nozzle return spring, G&P Nozzle NPAS 5.0... AND unscrewed buffer tube by one full cycle back... AND bolt lock works now, though not everytime on one of the mags, but it works pretty damn well, i dont want to give another turn because of what WildWeasel told me, so I will just wait out for HSB to arrive to me and then will try to give it another full rotation backwards and see the results But for now i am really happy with it, i've put my NPAS to shoot on 394FPS, and it holds it really REALLY god damn well, its WAY better than AG V2 NPAS (no surprise here, huh). I also got the G&P adjustable piston valve if for some reason G&P 5.0 NPAS will start failing me Thank you for your help guys, I really appreciate it and cant wait to field my gun to see the differences of the innerbarrel and bucking upgrade Have a nice one

  9. Well, an update! After deciding to bombard UPS on Facebook everyday, I've got nowhere....😂 But it's made me feel better!! Having not had a message back from Sammy after 13 hours I pestered them again and "Melanie" told me to contact TG for an update, I asked if they had actually sent TG an update or are you just wasting my time? Low and behold, I checked my emails and TG had said that after 2 months they would start the refund process. Apparently a "specialist team" will contact me from UPS to refund my fee's, or atleast discuss the options. All in all a quite sour experience! But oh well, you live and learn. I'll update again once I have some pennies back!

  10. I hope that ‘your armoury’ refers to ‘your armoury at work’ and not ‘your armoury in the garage containing the mountains of bangy ‘kit’ acquired via years in the infantry ....... and on another tack ....... My dad used to keep back the Russian hordes with nuclear missiles but wouldn’t let me play with them. In later years I would be given loads of old kit by the QMs etc when hanging around the offices and warehouses. He’s the one bulling his boots and my mothers the one holding the front bumper of one of their missile launchers.

  13. By what metric? The education ranking puts them 11th in the world, their economy is the 13th largest and their quality of life is the highest in the world. Or do you just mean that they banned guns?

  14. A simple change to be sure, but a welcome one. After owning this beautiful STAR L86 for approaching 7 years now I finally got around to getting the correct scope for her. Sometimes all it takes is a simple SUSAT to really complete a gun. Granted, she’s about to get a complete internal overhaul but externally she’s finished. For now...

  15. Think it’s safe to say we all appreciate you’d have to be a bit of a pillock to think it’s a usable safety helmet BUT as he’s drilled holes in it to fit rails etc to it then if someone takes a nose dive head first it something(as I’d wager most of us have done at sometime or another)then there’s a very good chance that now weakened piece of cheap Chinese tat helmet is going break apart or even just flex at the point of weakness that now has a conveniently placed bolt to be driven in to your melon by said impact ?

  17. As said, not a problem if you're going to an airsoft event. Just make sure its never seen in public. If its been left in a loft then give it a good clean. Use a barrel rod to clean inside the barrel with a bit of isopropyl alcohol if you have any. (Be careful not to force anything past the hop rubber) Oil any parts you can see that might be mechanical. You'll likely need new batteries. Since you can use those in your new gun then its worth getting a couple of LiPos and a good charger. Do a search for batteries and chargers as its been asked many times before.

  18. Possession is fine. Retailers want your UKARA details to protect them from a fine under the VCRA. Under the VCRA you have ‘modified’ an IF into a RIF. Nobody will know unless you tell them, but if your intent is to play airsoft skirmishing at insured sites then you are in compliance with the intent of the law.

  22. I got hold of a couple of bottles of ASG 0.36 Devil Blasters and ran them the other week as DMR... Got through x2 tanks in a day..just goes to show how much I was enjoying the MTW. Think i'll drop the fps down so I can use full auto and use the rest of my 0.4/0.43's for DMR role when I want to mix it up some. Looks like I may have to tweak the Dwell as well...still getting the odd inconsistent fps reading.

  25. Guys, about to place a TG order. First one since Brexit. I know there are time issues, but can people please let us know what they are paying on VAT, Duty or UPS handling charges please. Really interested to know. Having had my eye on stuff on the TG site pre Xmas, it looks like prices are Exc UK VAT, so I can swallow that np. Wary of of duty and charges from UPS- its still seems like the wild west out there. Last month I ordered some Atacs IX kit from USA. I was expecting VAT and duty on both, but both got through with no extra charges- just the price I paid in US$ on the website and the postage. So its not really clear what customs are looking at Any comments appreciated.

  27. The angle of those ARC rails genuinely made me 'lol' I know the answer but I'd love to see what a headset looks like mounted on them! 😂 Jokes aside I agree with @alxndrhll Fair enough if it was just some freak of a bump helmet, but when your offering eye protection that's really not something you can muck about with!

Good man @C-Diddy for reading all 200 pages. Your journey is now complete. Well almost....Now just get that damn MWS laddie and start having some fun. And for you’re preferred choice of BBs. Drum roll.... Don’t use Nuprol RZR bbs else the next 200 pages will be even more entertaining lol On reflection maybe I should start showing Nuprol some love? Give them a second chance? Hmmmmm? Actually sod that thought!!! 😂 . Guess which brand this rail is which Luke is referring too 😂😂😂😂

Might do, the bolt might be moving too fast for the catch to stop it, backing the buffer out 1 turn might be enough to do it. TBH you have tried everything else!

    THE TM MWS thread

Well, many days after starting, I've finally finished all 200 pages. Apart from figuring out that I really need to do more with my spare time, here are my main take homes from the thread: The MWS in all its iterations is, as Snoop may say, the shiznit The MK18 version looks ace but the design is mental The third party support for the platform is huge @AlphaBearhates Nuprol The one constant upgrade that almost everyone agrees on as being performance enhancing and therefore an essential purchase, is the SixG brass nub Whenever retailers get any MWS's or TM original parts in stock (especially mags), they disappear rapidly, so act fast Angry Gun are shit, but they're not, sort of HAO Industries kits are incredible looking (416 and L119A2 🤤) but are jaw-droppingly expensive @AlphaBearreally hates Nuprol Fire Support provide excellent service to the needy and cash-rich MWS brethren Depending on barrel length, ammo weight, nub type, gas type, ambient conditions, lunar alignment and inside leg measurement, FPS ranges from 200 - 1,400 fps The green gas mag mod is not necessarily necessary @AlphaBearfrigging hates Nuprol Become familiar with Impulse101 and other Japanese sites and order well in advance of needing spare TM parts Nozzles, nozzle springs, TM hop rubbers and a decent armourer's wrench should be in everyone's tool/spares box This thread is an absolute goldmine of people willing to share information, admire other people's builds and welcoming other people in joining the growing number of MWS owners @AlphaBearabsolutely, positively hates Nuprol Thanks everyone. Looking forward to receiving the stock alert email telling me it's time to sell a kidney (or kid) as my MWS journey is about to begin.

I've personally had best success with Tippmann tracers. By success I mean they light up the brightest with my Lighter S. I used ASG Blaster tracers when I didn't have Tippmann BBs on hand and the difference in brightness is very noticable. I've never had a jam or bb-explosion with Tippmann bbs either!

    THE TM MWS thread

It's always good to see this BB debate bubbling along... there really isn't a right or wrong answer when it comes to BB's other than DONT USE NUPROLS in a MWS!!! Like anything with an MWS, no two will probably function the same but will do within tolerances. The science and engineering behind the MWS is such that different people will have varying results. This is so true in the case of BB's. What works well for one person may not necessarily work as good for another. I believe It's trial and error to some degree, not I deal I know but that's the platform we are working with.

  35. are they full of ammo? it's normal for a hicap to unwind when there's not enough ammo left in the hopper to keep the stack of bb's in the feed tube all the way up to the chamber.

  39. Since the Girandoni airifle was in action in 1779, and bested the standard muskets of the time, surely a 9.48g BB at 500fps is acceptable? You'd scream your hits for sure. All in the name of history.

  40. Well hello there! Had a good MTW tuning session in my mates garden. It was really handy to have two MTW's at hand to compare side by side. I was having inconsistency issues (FPS wise) despite it running perfectly at Anzio. This was cured by upping the dwell slightly. I'm now easily hitting a tree trunk at just over 60m with 0.32's (had a range finder at hand) to confirm this!! Adjusting the dwell on my mates sorted out his issues with the odd flyer and was sending 0.36 lasers at the same very tree trunk. Looks like I'll be sharing my knowledge with my mate Dayne as he's just purchased an MTW from @alxndrhll. So that'll be 3 of us at Anzio at the end of the month with MTW's.

    What's Correct?

Screw the content and intent of this thread it is all IRRELEVANT in the face of the Harley Quinn / catwoman piece in the back ground That is a great fun loving piece of art and I commend your taste! Also, what ever is comfy for you, as long as your eyes are covered

    What's Correct?

Goggles under. 1) Helps ensure full seal around the eyes, which is the priority. 2) Throughout the day you may (when you feel it's safe to do so), want to drop your lower protection and have a wipe and few proper breaths etc. May be TMI but you'll find moisture builds up when you're running around, especially if you're panting like a dog!

    What's Correct?

With a little bending you can get them to contour properly with those goggles with out reprofiling the edge giving a little extra nose space. Also very easy to cable tie the mask to the goggles to reduce the gap and you have less straps to faf around with.

    What's Correct?

This is what I did, you can use a hairdryer to heat the glue that's holding the covering on to remove it, trim with some snips to shape then stick the covering back on 👍

  45. @Monkman I took my MTW to Anzio camp yesterday and had exactly the same issue. I was easily over hopping 0.32's. I totally forgot I had a bag of 0.36's in my kit bag but ah well, never mind. I'm booking Anzio again for next month so will try the 0.36's then and report back! The swerving issue I had last time has now gone away. It may have just needed a rebuild but it got the new barrel, 1.0 arm and bucking instead. Wearing my KMCS with the MTW was brilliant once I got outside in the greener areas. Shot / had pinned down a decent amount of players by myself without them having a clue where I was.
