  1. Decided to give making a holster a go and blow off the old leather working tools. Bit rusty and rough around the edges as was thrown together to prove the design but I’m happy with it for a first attempt!

    THE TM MWS thread

Don't get me ranting on about cheap BB's.... I won't go on about it..... Promise... Scout's Honour... Honest! Bloody Nuprol RZR shite BB's! This is my order... 1. G&G's - The only downside about G&G is that you can't get the heavier ammo grade in the UK... I'm not sure why but you just can't. 2. Geoff's - (Super Precision variant. Geoff's do both Super Precision and Precision https://www.outdoorandtactical.co.uk/product/geoffs-super-precision-bbs-0-32g-3000-white 3. Longbow 4. BLS 5. ASG Devil Blasters

  6. It's the same as any other mosfet, I have a better picture for the wiring tho. Cut on the red crosses. The 2 green wires become the trigger. You can solder the perun wires directly to them (polarity doesn't matter) The 2 blue wires are the motor wires, Polarity is important so pay attention. If you want sexy wires then you need to add in a set of deans between the mosfet and motor. You just about have space with a gate nanohard so the perun should work as well. The micro connector is also nice but not essential. When your done if you get the wires all nice and reasonably tidy you should be able to fit it all in front of the backplate. This is it done with an Xcoretech XET304u but I've done a gate nanohard in exactly the same way. Because the perun AB++ is a single wire trigger you will have to tap into the red main wire as well. If you are going with a deans split then you can solder that wire to the mosfet side of the deans (not the motor side). You want it on the mosfet side so when you work on the gearbox you can completely remove the motor and move it out of the way. Give me 10 mins I'll edit an image of the deans location. Here you go. Purple crosses are where the deans goes for the motor connections - Cut those wires where you need them the image is not to scale. The green are the trigger wires. You have to add a new wire to the back of the motor connection deans for the trigger. Again not to scale so pick a sensible length for those wires!

  9. Old skool 'new old stock' ICS M4 Commando with Stubby Stock. So old, it still has (somewhat crappily implemented) Cybergun-Licensed Colt trades. It weighs practically nothing - I will be be keeping this one as light as possible.

    Radios guide

You have two choices when it comes to radios for Airsoft purposes and they each have their pros and cons. You can either use a PMR 446 or a licensed radio such as a Baofeng. PMR 446 Comes in two types, analogue which has 8 channels and digital which is 16 channel. Most people use analogue as digital is still expensive. Is unlicensed so you can just buy a radio and it will work with all other PMR 446 radios. It is limited to 0.5W. It is lower range and penetration than a licensed radio. In thick woodland expect below 100m sometimes you can shout further. In open ground in the best conditions it could go 1KM. They have a fixed antenna so you can't change it. Licensed Radio Baofeng is the make that most people buy due to the costs. The UV-5R is a cheap and decent radio with a tonne of possible accessories. The UV-82 and other radios in that series from Baofeng can do two push to talk buttons for two different frequencies which is a really awesome for radio men as they can talk on either of the frequencies they have setup. The UV-5R can tune into 2 channels at once but it can't transmit on both only one of them. The UV-5R can be used at 2 power outputs, 1W and 4W. There is also a High power model which has an additional 8W mode which isn't usable with a UK simple business license. You can do just about anything with a license and could get a personal frequency just for your group but it could cost thousands of pounds. However the easiest and cheapest thing to do is to buy a Simple UK business license (https://secure.ofcom.org.uk/busrad/). It is £75 for 5 years and takes about 2 weeks to come through, it requires little more than name + address. It will give you some FM, VHF and UHF frequencies for a total of 11 usable on a Baofeng UV-5R and you can hand out these to a group you play with or just some people on the same site for the day. Businesses all over the UK share the frequencies so you may have to move channel to avoid interfering but you have plenty of options. The license grants up to 5W of power and the Baofeng on high uses 4W. The license is for narrow band which is the same as the PMR 446 uses. These penetrate through a lot more woodland and go a lot further as they are 10x more powerful. They have a replaceable antenna so you can get a smaller one to fit your gear or a much bigger one to allow better reception and a bit more power. The Baofeng can be tuned to receive the PMR 446 frequencies. However because it is too powerful (1W) and has a removable antenna (which can change the power output) and it can use other frequencies its not legal to use it on PMR 446 frequencies. Thus if you are using a Baofeng for this purpose you are committing a crime. It is OK to listen but you can't transmit. The Baofeng radio's as far as I know all come with push to talk buttons and an ear piece in the box, the UV-5R certainly does. You can also get accessory ones from other companies like Code red headsets, Z Tactical and Baofeng themselves. The plug it uses is called a Kenwood so when looking for addons this is what you need, its widely supported. There are a vast array of options even to the point where you can get a bone conduction set for $100 or so.

  11. Hi all, I have a G&G CM16 sr-l and would like to upgrade the spring to achieve a more consistent 340 - 350 FPS rather than the 290 - 300 FPS that I'm currently getting. I would really appreciate any guidance in which spring I should be buying to achieve the objective? Many thanks :-)

  12. Hi guys im seeking some clarification regarding fitting a mosfet into an aug. Ive drawn up a crude diagram before fitting but id like to be 100%. Has anyone fitted the peun AB++ to an aug. Ive fitted seceral perun into a v2 gearboxes but the full auto bar on the aug has got me stumped a little. Ive included my diagram.

  14. Just another note - If you do go with the deans split you can solder the motor wires to the motor. It makes for a much better connection.

Can totally appreciate the obvious build quality and tech work you’ve put in to it(it does looks really impressive) BUT my eyes almost bleed every time I see a classical ‘old school’ gun get modernised ! 😭 but like the fat lady said , “what ever floats ya boat ?” 😉👍

    THE TM MWS thread

I have been using the TM nozzle and had a DP one as a spare. I tested it the other day and found a slight FPS increase (I think it seats deeper in the bucking)....and then the back ripped off it! Mine was probably purchased 18mths ago and the spare from JKArmy (here in 5 days!) looks like a less shiny (less brittle?!) plastic. I need to give it a proper test but initial thoughts are the TM valve doesn't fit as it is a hair too large a diameter. The alloy DP one is fine. My TM nozzle has been giving inconsistent FPS (265, 266, 264, 150, 265...wait what?) and I think that is to do with the wear around the part that seals on the bucking.

  19. ah ha! that's good, I had a Perun AB++ turn up yesterday for my AUG so I am also on the hunt for info on this! I did email perun but the images they sent me didn't overly help clear things up.

  22. Like you I have an smg (mp9) on a single point and retention clip setup. The single point I use is the ops plate carrier sling, which I got from hueys. Its been really good, flexible setups and quick to release and shorten when needed. https://www.hueys.co.uk/epages/es151784.mobile/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es151784/Products/"OPS PC Sling FG"&ViewAction=ViewProduct

    Wosport G4 Mask Idea

Don’t think it’s possible to do that it’s just way too bulky , only way your getting the visor any closer to your face is by either creating a whole new attachment system or ditching all the parts for that system and permanently attaching it to the helmet .
