Exactly this!!! The safety brief for a real steel site takes about 5 mins; why? The safety brief is NRA standard. The same could happen in airsoft. If we really got our act together we could link up with BASC and add our membership of however many to their 130K members and get real clout. They have media trained spokespersons, ex-parliamentarians, and professional PR people to hand. If we don't regulate ourselves, some other fucker will, and they may do so with some high profile media event behind them.

Managed to get a few photos of my platoon leader (feldwebel) kit for 2nd battalion, 7th company 125th regiment panzergrenadier kit 21 panzer division near Ranville on the edge of the Orne river on exercise spring 44. This company would be the one that's pushed away from Pegasus and Horsa bridge by Brit para's on d-day. It's been fun doing lots of research for this kit and with a much higher quality smock I feel a lot happier with my impression now.

i'd rather a governing body with some accountability to airsoft were setting the rules than some pencil pusher in parliment with an axe to grind against all things gun-shaped. not really, if the governing body is setting rules it'll be stuff the sites will merge in, if anything it'll be the opposite because folk will be used to the standard ruleset so it won't need explaining in minute detail at every site because people will know the score.

I didn't realise the BAC was still going. Personally I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole after they were caught handing out membership without checking the application came from a genuine airsofter. Also as no sites have been open since November they shouldn't really be giving out membership anyway. In short, just wait till you can get site membership and get on the UKARA database

True, and that was part of what set me thinking about the idea i listed in my opening post. But as far as i am aware, the "clamshell" part of the shell is lodged into a TAG casing, so it can be fired from a TAG standalone launcher, and you cant remove them from the casing to load it into a TAG launcher shell without it coming apart in your hands. If i have been misinformed, then i am happy to stand corrected and i will look to buy some TAG buckshot rounds instead for outdoors use

Gotta be honest, airsoft is pretty far down the list of things I'd prioritise with that kind of cash BUT I'd probably rent out an old them park or something and put on an invite only game. Then buy ALL the guns I wanted. Fuck buying a space to run as a site, dealing with Joe Public? No ta.

Can see what your saying but I find stocks work much better when there at the rear than anywhere else usually find if it’s at the front either someone’s really f**ked up in manufacturing or I’m holding my gun the wrong way ? 🤔😉

in with the buy a bunch of land and make a site crowd. have some multi-story buildings, a mock fort built from concrete rather than plywood and hope, emplaced site guns etc. tricky one when it comes to running it, for starters i'd want to play and secondly wouldn't want it to end up cliquey.

I would do something similar but I would want to go all nostalgic and recreate some of my original dail-up Beta & 1.X counterstrike days with maps like De_Dust, De_Dust II, De_Train, De_Inferno & as I loved it Cs_Office

It's pretty clear airsoft is not covered and really after spending most of year in lockdown who really cares about waiting a few more weeks. I can think of so many things more important to do first when I get freedom than an airsoft game because real world priorities and all that.

That would depend on your site. The one I normally play at has a segmented safe zone. The inside of the building and back into the car parks are no fire at all. Once you go into the second part of the safe area you can shoot, but only if stood on the edge of the zone and are shooting outwards, Allowing you to chrono, and set up sights pre-game. When you come in after shooting the coral at the start of the safe zone is where you pull your mag fire off the last few BB's and show the magwell for inspection. It's still called the safe zone at that site, and you are never allowed to shoot towards it or through it. I suppose you could call it a staging area. Other sites I've been to have had similar setups, with safe zone ranges and chrono setups, Where you are inside the safe zone but also allowed to shoot. Either way it's fairly normal to have somewhere you can shoot that is not in the game zone, allowing a mag dump before chrono. Lol.

I picked one up for sons gf, her first gun & so far no complaints, I've used it & other than being a bit fussy with mags, it does what it's supposed to. Prices s/h vary, seen em for as little as £50, £80-£100 with a couple of mags seems to be the going rate.

Pretty sure its a first gen version if it was originally front wired. The newer ones (2015 onwards) are rear wired out of the factory along with a sprinkling of other changes. I quite fancy one. No idea why though.

yeah, really surprised me to see just how cheap those things are. not the worst guns out there, it's basically a bullpupped aksu with a rube-golberg fire control setup and m4 mags.

I was 'adopted' by a young newbie down the ucap tunnels one Wednesday evening. I think he was impressed by my loadout and assumed I was a one man killing machine.Wrong! It started off ok by my saving him from hitting his head on a low doorway which earned me some thanks but then things went downhill fast. I led him into the middle of a fire fight where we promptly got rinsed from both sides.i got him blown up,lost, and soaked when he stumbled and fell down a step which I neglected to warn him about lol. This all happened in the first half of the game.Never saw him again.lol. Regards
