Been working on my feldwebel 2/Pz.Gren.Rgt.125 for the winter of 44-45 mainly operation wacht em Rhine and Nordwind. Decided to give my a-frame another go set up with zeltbahn and blanket instead of my pack. Hope you guys like it and I've got my winter 44 wacht em Rhine windhund impression to photograph next.3 points

Well they said 2020 and they didn’t lie, only just (will probably be a few months more till we see them here in the UK though). I believe this rifle is a springer as well which is nice to see. with this and the G&G No4 on the horizon it’s great to finally see some Enfield rifles on the Airsoft market place.2 points

Remington 1875 Frontier Army Remingtons failed (but by many accounts better) attempt to cash in on the colt single action army. Started life as a 177 airgun. A few bits machined and it's now an airsoft gun with a fixed hop. I *think* it's the only airsoft one so far. Ideally I'd like to change the colour and hydrodip the grips wood or paint them more like bone. But this is now my primary airsoft "weapon".2 points -

Cheap Sim Only Deal Maybe ?
Sitting Duck reacted to Iceni for a topic
I can't help with Vodaphone, but what I will say is don't rule out smaller companies, rather than just looking at the common options. I moved from Vodaphone to 1p mobile a few years ago. It uses the EE network so no good for you, but with that sim I get 1p calls and 1p texts all the time, I am what you would call a phone dinosaur and don't use data at all. I have to topup £10 every 4 months, as a min. So it works out at £2.50 a month. And even that low an amount I think I'm over £100 in credit... lol. Just make sure you check the Truspilot reviews, but from my own perspective I can't tell the difference in coverage between 1p mobile and EE (the missuses phone). So it's been a good overall move for me.1 point -

I'd say that email was akin to marketing suicide. Refusing to accept orders under £135? In an email sent to every UK customer on the database..... Slow clap. I could understand an email saying there is going to be a change to the free postage system with a higher cap, and higher postage on all orders to the UK. That is an acceptable thing to do. To just flat out add a min spend requirement.... Well that's something else. Why would I even bother to look at that site to compare prices anymore. I'm going to go directly to another supplier. If the rest of the world can deal with international trade and the hurdles it creates, Then a single store loosing my business because they can't adapt and would rather loose a full market isn't something I'll be loosing sleep over. Best bit is, there's a trade agreement... All they have to do is fill in a few forms and keep records of sales to the UK.... It should be part of any international companies basic infrastructure. I get most of my bits from inside the UK anyway. AK2M4 has been a godsend, not that I actually buy a lot of parts. And Fire-support are generally the first website I visit when I want to gather my senses and not buy another gun. There's also the elephant in the room so to speak. GF have been a pretty solid 20% cheaper on most gear through the years.... Could it be, and this is speculation at it's very best/worst, that GF fiddle the VAT books to keep prices down. Having to ship to the UK where the VAT would be scrutinised may upset the fiddle and cost them money, hence they can't actually offer those prices at all. And they need the £135 to be back into profit.... Food for thought there.1 point -

failing that - use a snubber/flyback diode across a NORMAL cheapo motor don't put them on SHS/G&G types - well I wouldn't... think kwa use this as some fancy bollox to save trigger contacts but yeah it is a flyback diode to drastically lessent the sparks at contact which incidently is not when the circuit if first closed as many think but as the trolley pops and the switch opens once again - ZZAAPPP a large massive spark jumps from the inductive load - aka da motaaa and THAT is how your contacts arc n weld n shit 50p diode, schottky diode qwells 98% of the arcing ninja'd coz dinner was being dished up - lol WHY THE FUCK DID I QUOTE MYSELF ??? THOUGHT I WAS EDITTING THE POST DAMN IT was looking for the kwa or king arms thingy with super duper trigger saver module (it's a fucking flyback diode ffs)1 point -

Buying From Gunfire.Pl in the New Year? Might Want to See This
ak2m4 reacted to Sitting Duck for a topic
Agreed, both TWG (way back in 2014) & Gunfire did points to collect could use your points for delivery or decent stuff (cheap gun, gearbox, bb's etc...) now GF points in finishing on 31st December with fuck all available to exchange them for postage has shot up, free postage used to be like 150 Euro's then 230, now think it was about 300 last time I looked edit: oh yeah them GF bastids added paypal fees to order a while back too (TWG does charge you for paying via PayPal) Mind you TWG does free delivery to all of Europe except UK since about 2017 Think exchange rates like with the dollar have had an impact on stuff though GF does some good offers on spare parts at times, but not so much on guns so gotta go some to make it worthwhile in 2020 and with 2021 around the corner, think the cheap as chips GF days are long gone now (no more points, free shipping qualifying always increasing, PayPal fees etc...) Another thing is that Gate & Perun stuff may be slightly impacted by UK/EU stuff overall, think we may need to ensure we want to buy more shit than casually buying stuff "coz it was on offer..." which may not be a bad thing tbf we shall see, might help small retailers like Pete @ak2m4 so silver lining & all that meantime we can try to make our old faithful shit run more efficiently to keep up with the new fancy bollox - but still a peew peew toy gun sewing machine in the end we shall see...1 point -

IIRC it has a lot less adjustment range than the stock one so it might be ok but if you are running heavier ammo it may struggle to lift it. This was covered somewhere in this thread...probably page 120-ish??1 point

Non Working/Parts
Zitch reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
afaik there is a "manufacture" clause in the vrca. it's a tricky one when it comes to the likes of secondhand sales if you're trying to figure out what you should be asking a defence for. the easy test is "will joe bloggs look at it and think gun" (or the man on the clapham omnibus argument as rogerborg puts it), which is why it still applies to guns that aren't technically based on a real gun (for example the aps uar) internal parts should be fine, gearboxes etc.1 point -

I'm not totally clued up on it but I believe parts are ok if you make an RIF from them is when it gets illegal but I may be wrong1 point -
I personally always use 11.1v. No matter what gun in the past no issues. Besides everyone needs a flamethrower while on the frontline. 😏1 point

Some here may have other opinions but mine would be NO, stick to 7.4v LiPo A 7.4v LiPo will still perform a bit better than the stock battery. It would probably work for a while but its not designed for that kind of electrical power. The motor will suffer, no MOSFET so the trigger contacts will arc like crazy, the gears would have to be well shimmed or get chewed up and the bearings would take a pounding. Something will fail sooner rather than later and when it does it won't be pretty.1 point

Co2 Magazines Light Striking
Herr Eagle reacted to lilredmachine for a topic
Have been surprised no one has answered this. Remove the problem valves, fill a pot with enough silicone oil to cover them and leave them overnight. This will usually restore sticking or leaking valves. Worst case, go buy a couple more valves, it'll be 15 quid but a lot cheaper than two new mags.1 point -
Gbb Pistol Advice
Herr Eagle reacted to Cyberlawyer for a topic
If you want a metal slide (but polymer lower) you can’t go wrong with a WE Glock. They are very solid and reliable, and shoot quite well (a few small mods can make them shoot great). They do suffer more from cool down than Marui pistols, but they will take higher power gas to compensate. On really cold days I have even used WE CO2 mags with no problems.1 point -
