Turns out I'm on this forum after all! Heroshark has dragged me in. Happy to provide lifts from the Aylesbury area.

The PTS MTEK is to me an amazing option, those things are as good as the legit Ops-Core bump helmets to my mind, except you can actually get them in the UK and far cheaper. The owner of the company told me they'd be climbing/impact rated if they used real suspension systems and pads because the shell is that good, but the replica straps and pads haven't gone through the expensive lab tests required. I know with the real MTEKs the shells are only one size i.e. XL and far as I know the PTS copies that accurately. I'd imagine the price isn't for everyone but that's the kinda lid you can buy once and use for decades of airsoft. Also super high cut around the ears like the latest O-C SF Ballistics which means the best possible clearance around electronic ear pro for max comfort/min head crushing.

Fantastic game day today, despite being on the definitive losing team and it being cold and wet! Saw me hold a corner by myself with my m14 for over half a game; must've been about 20 mins overall. Felt like a woodland version of Black Hawk Down (you know the scene...) when they finally got me because I was down to my pistol and surrounded since the rest of the team had capitulated by that point. Don't need a ghillie to be sneaky, was just in my DPMs with some scrim net draped over my head and shoulders. Some minor feeding issues, but not enough to detract from the overall day. Also, my VSR got fixed, so I'm back to using that hilariously quiet rifle. CO2 power + suppressor makes no noise whatsoever.

Welcome back to the sport As Shamal said, you should not fully discharge a LiPo. Unlike the NiCd's we had before, LiPo's do NOT need 'exercising' Its better for LiPos to be topped-up rather than allowed to go low. Always disconnect after a game. I take mine out of the guns before leaving and keep them in a separate pouch. Its not good to keep LiPo's stored for long periods (weeks) at full charge. If you're not going to be using a battery for a while then select 'Storage Charge' setting on the charger.

Get yourself a copy of Airgun World and learn about building safe backstops etc. Then have a look at some of the replica airguns e.g. the K98 replica by, I think Original/Diana. Far better for target practice than an airsoft sniper. If you want to do targets without running about, try practical pistol airsoft at your own pace. How about a GSG 1911 and Section 1 license at your local gun club? Some very nice M4, AK, MP40, PPSH and MP5 platforms available. As Adolf Hamster says, you can always play airsoft at your own pace on a site. If my arthritis plays up I am no racehorse I can tell you! My best kills today were from hiding until the position was overrun and blatting several players in the back as they advanced passed me. I was sitting down and got myself nice and comfy.

Hi @Had0u You dont really need to completely discharge your lipo after each use Yes disconnect from gun after use. charge night before going to a game. If you are not gonna be using lipo for some time then set your smart charger to storage charge and then charge night before game.👍 Regards

But in fact Whitehall try to influence the politicians They (Senior Civil Servants @ Whitehall) don't care who wins the GE not really, Whitehall simply gets new puppets to play with & pull the strings You might think this is bit far fetched, but suggest you watch some episodes of "Yes Minister" which many retired servants & politicians have said it was pretty accurate of how it all works

I just built a new BCG with the HAO BC and using all G&P internals including nozzel. I cannot really give you an estimate on the power as I use the G&P adjustable valve, but the nozzel itself works well. I was meant to field it yesterday, but had something come up. I've have put through about 100 rounds on my balcony though and not an issue with any of it.

If you want to build accurate replicas start with the blank recievers and then look for parts to fit. I've used E&C boxes in both my 119's but Tomtac boxes do fit in cyma receivers too . I do have a Krytac Nautilus box that I had considdered using in the A2 for the ambi controls but although it did fit somehow I wasn't happy with it. Or barrel length It's an absolute sod, since my A1 gas build i'm now looking at my AEG's and thinking 'that stock tube needs correcting' 🤣

I don't pretend to understand it all. All I'm worried about is how much I have to pay at pump. But I'm thankful for people like Lozart et al to help make sense of it to the likes of me. Now leave me in peace I'm beer drinking! 😉🙂👍 Cheers 🎅

What warranty do you get from a UK airsoft company...🤣 A cursory look at Negative Airsoft's videos will reveal the 'quality' of most UK Warranty 'repairs'. I would rather fend for myself and save the cash at the point of purchase.

If your arm band can give your position away when sniping then quite frankly your shit at being a sniper ! what your wearing has rock all to do with it it’s ALL about your position and your movement(or more appropriately lack of movement !) thats important , we’ve all been to a gameday where you’ve seen some nobber running around the site in a full wookie suit like a demented loon with his arse on fire but most didn’t see the guy in the red check shirt and blue jeans who was using proper field craft to maintain his position . Far too many think being a sniper is Get dropped off somewhere , crawl forward 100-150ft As quick as you can , shoot the target , crawl back out of sight get picked up then home for tea and medals ala CoD ! when in-fact the reality Is tabbing in to a location for hrs and hrs , then crawling forward very very slowly for a good couple of hundred yards if not further laying in the same spot for a couple of days , pissing in a bottle , shitting in a ziploc bag , getting pissed on by the local farm stock then getting an abort signal and repeating the whole thing in revers !🤦‍♂️ It’s no different at a gameday(just dramatically scaled back) if your field craft is good you can be a sniper , but if it’s not then your just another nobber who thinks he’s the ultimate ‘one shot one hit’ stone cold killa ! 🤣🤣

One of my biggest reasons for buying most of my kit from out side the UK is the shit service I’ve received over the yrs from most of the uk retailers I’ve dealt with , wether it’s zeromong getting paid for up-grades that they then proceeded to do with used parts , airsoft world sending an obviously 2nd hand gun as new and then saying “of course it looks used we had to test it first(how’d you test it take it to a full days scurmish?) ! Or airsoft armoury sending an order to the wrong address and saying tuff it’s been signed for over to you ! so me personally I’m more than happy to take the risk of buying from foreign retailers over UK ones if I’m getting a substantial saving .👍

Ah yes but injuries aren't just confined to airsoft sites I was stalking a squirrel in garden with mk23. Weapon in ready up and extended position giving it my best man from uncle style. Squirrel ran off laughing as I fell over a two ton concrete frog that has been on patio for ten years! Cut knee and sprained wrist. Saved gun though.🤭👍 Regards

Its worth pointing out that you dont have to be running about all the time when playing airsoft, you can play at your own pace. One of the best counters to a player charging round the sides is an old bugger quietly parked in a hedge like a sentient landmine and there absolutely is value in having a couple of players in a team doing that.
