In my on-going spat with Novritsch's customer service team I've just raised this issue. If they refuse to assist with issues I'm having on a simple GBBP part, what's going to happen when they're swamped with e-mails from teenagers whose Titan's are beeping at them like R2D2 with tourettes.6 points -
Yep if anything it will work better 😀4 points

Nuprol Power Compact Intelligent Charger Help!
Tactical Pith Helmet and 3 others reacted to Rogerborg for a topic
Sorry to have to say this (yet again) but I would bin that bloody thing before it explodes or burns your house down. We've had report after report after report about them failing. When it says "NEVER LEAVE CHARGER UNATTENDED WHILE IN USE" it really means it. A 2A charger should charge a 1.6Ah battery in under an hour. If it's been shoving current in for 9 hours it's been cooking it. However, I'd hazard a guess that the battery is fully charged, but that the charger can't recognise that. Nimh is a bit of a sod to charge. The charger doesn't know what voltage the battery is meant to be, all it can do is to shove current in until it detects the battery resistance rising sharply when it's full. If it fails to spot that rise happening, it's liable to just keep pumping energy in indefinitely. If you stick with it, only use it for under an hour, and disconnect it if the battery start to heat up. Or take the plunge and get yourself onto better technology. Lipo cells are really cheap now (see HobbyKing) and can deliver higher current in a smaller package. You'll not see much difference between a 7.4V lipo and a 9.6V nimh. On chargers, we're liking the SkyRC S65 or the IDST Q6 nano at the moment.4 points -

Neil Gaimans magic touch strikes again! Not sure how much involvement he's had with the actual series (he gets a writing credit but, y'know) but Tom Ellis being cast in the lead was a masterstroke. Testament to the power of a rabid fanbase and social media though.3 points -

Lipo or Nimh
Rogerborg and one other reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
I've found lipos also aren't affected by cold weather as much as nimh batteries. This. My AK has been run with only lipos for around ten years now and is still going strong (sod's law now means it'll now stop working in Sunday)2 points -
Why Test With 0.20 but Recommend 0.25?
Rogerborg and one other reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
Depends on the site, some shove .2's on top of whatevers in your mag (they'll make you fire off a few rounds if its full), others will ask what weight of ammo your using.2 points -
They tend to be more personal choice now but it’s still the “go to” for Chrono testing. It’s BBs you can just throw away as mentioned etc. I use a mixture of .2s and .25s.2 points

Why Test With 0.20 but Recommend 0.25?
Talltom and one other reacted to AK47frizzle for a topic
Because 0.20g bbs have been the standard for the longest time. They are uber cheap to buy and is seen as the lowest weight possible that is accepted for skirmishing. Idk who rolled it out but before that, 0.12gs were the go to lmao. Back when I started, people were still using 0.12gs. BULLDOG 0.12G THE BEST IN TOWN ONLY FOR 5 SMACKEROONIS WITH A SPECIAL FEATURE WHERE THE BB SHATTERS UPON FIRING WHICH PROVIDES AN INSANE BUCKSHOT EFFECT! BUY NOW!!!!2 points -
Just how they Chrono your guns normally. It tends to give u a rough FPS figure. But most people tend to play with .25s. But yea it’s just based off what most sites like to Chrono your gun with. 🙂2 points

according to the complaints about the m1 carbine having an insufficiently lethal round i suspect there might have been some creative use of game mechanics. either that or usgi's aren't as good at shooting as they think they are....2 points -
That depends on the size/capacity of the battery and how much you shoot. I'd recommend getting at least a couple of batteries anyway & swapping them half way through the day, that way you're much less likely to ruin them by accidentally over-discharging (you might also want to consider getting a low battery alarm to help prevent this happening) and you have a spare in case there's a problem with one of them.2 points

Clearly the milspec guy needs to turn off notifications on his phone at night, maybe when it pinged it put him off his stroke lol. I might have to ask about a product myself tonight, I'll do it when I get up for a piss, usually about 4am 🤣2 points

see this is why i dislike not having seen the start of how things all kicked off, i'd rather read the original comments he and the customer had because out of context it's hard to judge if it was the reaction of an arsehole, a joker, or a stressed shop owner losing his mind over yet another difficult customer. seeing things in retrospect/secondhand makes it much harder for me to form my own opinion.2 points -

Lipo or Nimh
Diggy123 and one other reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
gotta love that i'm mid-guide writing on a bunch of stuff like this. essentially lipo's are capable of much higher currents, their power curve is better (it goes for ages then suddenly stops rather than the slow decline of nimh), and they're less susceptable to memory (or losing performance over time) however they do need a little more care, you want good quality charging equipment, they can burn through your trigger contacts if you're not using a mosfet, and if you over-discharge them (for example by trying to keep firing as it runs out of juice) then it'll kill them. have a read of this thread as to why you need to take your charging equipment seriously: https://airsoft-forums.uk/topic/49777-imax-b6s-are-st-change-my-mind/2 points -
Personally I wouldn't use an 11.1v in a standard gun. If anything fails under the extra strain it will be spectacular. (and expensive) 7.4v will do for standard AEGs2 points

Very much so. Stole this from facebook but pretty much sums up what happened and genuinely doesn't exaggerate it either. Some guy wanted 6 ghk feed lips, messaged the milspec solutions FB page and received a tirade of abuse back. Bits still ongoing on their FB page, worth a look if you'd like a giggle2 points -

And I really do mean it about her notable trigger discipline, highlighted by those long, slender but strong model fingers of hers. Mmmm, model fingers. Consider that any extended gun scene is likely to be composed of several shots or retakes, and that discipline and continuity is largely down to the actor involved no matter how much they've been coached. It's a joy to watch her give such good solid grip and stern fingering. Oh, I'm off again...2 points

The closest I can find to the original call out post is this bastardised screenshot. Short version is, guy messages the page around 10:30 asking about the feed lips, not expecting an answer until the next day and gets the standard automated message saying they'll respond during working hours. So far so standard. The guy from milspec then messages back telling him to fuck off and it all goes to shit from there.1 point -

@occidio I've tested only three barrels - the stock 6.08mm 250mm brass inner barrel, a 370mm long 6.03mm Laylax/Prometheus steel inner barrel, and a 410mm long 6.04mm Maple Leaf Crazy Jet brass barrel. From my tests it was clear that the barrel has minimal effect, if any, on the accuracy and range of the platform. 95% of the accuracy/range comes from the bucking and nub used, how clean everything is, and getting everything properly aligned. As an example, my first time installing the T-N.T. bucking was a disaster because the bucking patch was slightly canted to the left, causing all my shots to curve way left field. I had the 410mm Maple Leaf Crazy Jet on at the time which made no difference in accuracy. When I went back and properly aligned the patch, I started putting fist sized groupings into a tree at roughly 30 meters out just standing offhand. I have a professionally tuned R-Hopped Lambda 6.05mm steel tightbore inner barrel w/Modify flat bucking and flat nub in my primary AEG which had a +/-1 FPS deviation at the chrono last weekend. My MTR-16 is slightly more accurate with the T-N.T. bucking and nub. That's saying a lot. You can also notice the Joule creep on the GBBR is more significant than on the AEG. The ML Crazy Jet barrels have very small windows, but my TR Hop bucking fit into the window and made a nice concave R-hop style contact surface with the BB. I actually prefer this smaller hop window because there seems to be less room for the hop up bucking patch to be misaligned, while a wider window means slightly more room for error (in theory). The stock barrel window is quite open and allows for a wide variety of bucking/nub setups. The Prometheus barrel is similar to the stock barrel, with a wide open window.1 point -
