so a third hand gun that's 8 years old of unknown functionality has only devalued by 15 quid that's impressive!

I've been keeping a casual eye on them, and it seems that they're getting muzzle velocities up above 300fps now. When Nanny State comes for airsoft - and I reckon she will, sooner or later - I think these things will be usable enough in CQB or even woodland. They're certainly a lot more eco-friendly than Dr-Evil-airquotes "biodegradable" BBs. Snipers are out of luck, but if it gives us an option above nerf, I for one welcome them to the world of overgrown kids playing with toy gnus.

I have a post in the custom guns thread on here but that's a low traffic thread. I also have a Facebook page, Project Peregrine. That's got a post that goes in depth with my design, why I decided to make it and why I came to the design I did. Short version is I wasn't expecting people to be as into this as they have been so I only ever planned on making one using cheap second hand parts wherever possible. The mags were a cheap bundle and the gearbox someone had laying around for spares. The gearbox design uses an ICS split gearbox upper with a custom gearbox lower using standard V2 gears and a short style motor and cage. That's going to be made from laser cut steel side plates and 3d printed infills. This makes it easily converted to HPA as long as you can resolder the trigger to a remote microswitch. The trigger for this uses a BTC Chimera with a remote trigger module and microswitch in the gearbox. The body of the gun is going to be largely 3d printed in at least 6 pieces. I will also be using laser cut steel rails down the sides to add some much needed rigidity and a standard 200mm AEG outer barrel. Mags have been tricky. I got the Uzi ones because they were cheap and available and already had a fitting for an uzi style mag release. Other options I'm looking at for potential future versions are some of the PCC Glock style mags that use the Glock mag catch but I'll consider anything that's reliable, available and not too expensive as long as it has a mag catch design that would work in a pistol grip. That means mp5 and Evo mags are out. The plan for rails and stocks is to make a working gun first but leave replaceable parts of the gun like the forend and rear plate to be modular so I can swap them out with new parts as I design them. I am looking at an MP7 style stock and forends with different rail options. This is all very early days, we haven't even drawn up all of the off the shelf parts and we still need to get our hands on a classic Army X9 mag and/or an Ares m45 mag to get dimensions to know where to put the motor

Yeah there is an mod you can buy which attaches to the barrel end to add hop. (Duno if its adjustable) For the Aussies its better than nothing 👍 I think laser tech could be the future. iCombat system is quite cool Just imagine 300mm range and no cheating

I very much hope that you actually receive one, but what several of us have found is that Paul at SWAT makes them to order, on a schedule that suits him. You could be looking at weeks, months, or never before it shows up. If he was up front about this I wouldn't mind, but the cun...ning rogue has been falsely advertising them as on-sale and in-stock for years. If I were you, I'd initiate a chargeback with your payment processor sooner rather than later, and buy a Dynatex from a retailer who actually has one in stock. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Weird evening spent stripping my Polarstar Mk18 down ready to sell for parts. When I finished this build I was fairly confident I wouldn't feel the need for anything else... then my MWS came along.

To refer to the old adage, "guns (or knives) don't kill people, people kill people" In much the same way, "poverty" doesn't turn you in to a hardened criminal, most people who plead poverty in this country haven't actually experienced real poverty, with a benefit system in place for unemployment, which also includes tax credit top-ups for working low incomes etc, no one is starving, sure many don't have the income they desire, but that's life, the issue for many is they have a feeling of "entitlement", in a "want it now" society, not wanting to accept that once the families fed & the absolute essentials are paid for, only then should you consider whether you have any disposable income for non essential so called "luxuries". Sorry, thugs will be thugs, especially if they've been brought up with no discernible influence, to ensure they have a moral compass, many people grow up on low incomes without becoming feral rabid scum.

I've started designing a machine pistol AEG using a custom gearbox. I'm currently getting accurate drawings of all of the existing parts before I can start drawing up the 3d printed and laser cut parts around them. I got fed up staring at a bunch of parts and mocked up a rough layout of where everything is going and how it should look. I'm really excited to get more done on this.

The final version has been printed! It's been through a couple of redesigns, the bottom rail has been lowered to make room inside, the walls have been thickened, some unnecessary screws have been removed and the m Lok is now to spec. Just waiting for the fittings to arrive and for it to be dropped round and I can finally get it fitted. Then on to the M4 stock adapter...

I got a nuprol XL hard case today and stuck my pulse rifle + shotgun and UGL for my scarh in it: Kinda regret putting the UGL in there and not a sidearm + mags. gonna have to buy a new layer of foam and re-do it. Edit:

Cyma CM045 "Krinkov" Arrived yesterday and I spent today stripping, cleaning and shimming the gearbox (great quality, still with gunky blue grease!) and re-wiring with a 11.1v Li-Ion and Gate NanoHard mosfet Madbull tightbore barrel I had lying around and G&G green rubber / Firefly nub. New O-ring nozzle from AK2M4 arriving tomorrow but not sure I can be arsed to strip it down again 🙄 Outside has been sanded and roughed up, wood sanded and stained. Still more to do on this (and the 5 steel mags!) to give it the true Khyber Pass look. 335fps +/- 4fps and 20rps on full auto 😈 Destined for OPFOR MILSIMS, loaner gun and noisy CQB!

Lockdown has made for quite a few changes to the ole-loadouts. Here’s everything in their current form. Eotech will be changing to a much smaller RMR style sight on the AK. AK - LCT base. M140 DSG build running 340fps at 35rps on a 7.4V lipo. Combat union AK hop was a pleasure to install and is the nicest Hop I’ve handled. Makarov is rocking a Maple leaf bucking and tensioner with a crazy jet barrel. M4 - Specna base. M140 DSG Running 300fps at c.50rps on an 11.1V lipo. Jefftron Leviathan gives a 5rd burst instead on full auto as I’m not a total div, despite the Novristch SSP1 and Silver trim. L85 - ICS. Stock internals, rewired to a Gate Nano hard. M14 - Cyma base. Wooden stock. Semi auto locked and bang on 450fps with no hop applied. Gate Nano hard in the stock. Hawke scope is lovely and I would thoroughly recommend!

https://imgur.com/a/JS6m3sn Got this TM Samurai Edge AW01 Custom from avenger63 a month or so ago, got some pick n' pluck foam for the casing so it can hold an extended mag + 3x standard mags in there nicely. I've just added a spring guide buffer to it because there's really nothing else to upgrade internally, it's solid as fuck. I was disappointed that the LAM was only a torch even though it has a faux painted red-dot on the front of it, so I bought one of these from AliExpress for £60, has a torch with strobe function as well as red dot laser. And latest pic of my M41A PR: Think i'm finally happy with it now. Hopefully never have to take it apart again, full internal upgrades on every single part.

So Ill give some more information thats been gathered since Im US-based and have been following the release of information. Apparently he loaded up in full kit including NODs, armor, everything. Wore his old SG patch from his time in the 82nd. Took an Uber to his brother-in-law's store to defend it from looters. Saw the NG unit nearby, and this is where information starts to vary. The NG unit claims he walked up to them and stated that he was a part of their unit. They were instantly suspicious as this guy has about 40 grand in better equipment than NG get, his rifle was out of regs, NG dont get handguns and he had a tricked out one, and it wasnt a G17 or M17. So they start asking him questions about the unit, their CO, etc and he cant answer any of them. So they talk him into handing over his guns and hand him off to a LAPD unit as they arent sure what to do with him. Then it gets interesting. So as some of you might know, California has the most anal gun laws in the US. I wont get into Second Amendment rights and all that, but lets just say Cali does not like guns. And to own a firearm in Cali you have to adhere to a very strict set of requirements. You can not bring external parts into Cali, you can not modify guns, etc. Apparently Spartans AR was modified, had parts that were non-California compliant, and there have been people saying he had a "ghost" lower. This has been said to be several things, from a 3D printed lower, to a polymer lower with the serial number removed. So what are the various crimes committed here? Well, impersonating servicemen is Stolen Valor and a federal offense. Modifying a firearm is a state offense. Open carry is a state offense. And an illegal lower is a federal offense. Current estimates on his sentence really vary. Depending on the court and plea deal he may very well get away with a monetary fine and lose his ability to own a firearm (this is a guarantee of anyone convicted of a federal offense). Or, he could see up to a $60000 fine and up to 10 years total jail time, assuming sentences are concurrent. Courts often take a bit of leniency on Vets, but as its California they may very well try to bury him under the jail. Now on to things we do not know but are rumored. First off, after his arrest police raided his home and found evidence of his attempts to modify and sell illegal firearms. This has not been confirmed, and there are many who say they simply rolled up to his house, saw his gun wall of airsoft, and figured "well we got him big this time". It wouldn't be the first time people have been arrested over airsoft. If that is the case they will eventually be identified as such and wont matter. If he was indeed modifying firearms with intent to sell then we have a whole 'nother problem here. Second is the rumor that some guardsmen said something along the lines of "hey Wong, youre a cool cat, why dont you come down and hang out with use at the barricade". Again, no proof this happened, but Ive heard it mentioned by several sources. In the end it doesn't really change much as common sense should have told him that would be a bad idea, plus above modified weapons and open carry issues. If its true it might lead to those NGs getting a bit of trouble but nothing major. In the end, however, it was a very stupid thing to do. Unfortunately even if everything is dropped and he doesn't serve any time, he will be dropped by every company he works with, and will essentially have to find a new line of work. The reenactment groups he frequented have already started moving away from him, theres no doubt Magpul and the other firearm companies he speaks for will drop him, and the airsoft companies may very well do the same. He will be losing all his firearms and right to own a firearm, so thats all gone too. As my guys over at "A Very Serious Airsoft Podcast" said - "the best case scenario is that he was just very stupid."

What a spanner, pretty much reinforces what I've said all along, Airsoft YouTube celebs are just Walt's that have taken it to the next level of "waltness", clearly that wasn't enough for this plank, I hope he's ready for some serious jail time, cos that's where he's going. Maybe his next blog will be from the showers, where Big Rudy will show him the correct way to grip his weapon 🤣

416 more or less complete. Ebay receiver has had trades added. Bought a sheet of waterslide decals off the internet, they seem ok if a bit bright. I had to play with the spacing a bit since the receiver already had the 5.56 markings. Decals over coated with several coats of Halfords camo varnish. Trades are noy 100 % accurate by any means , but do the job plenty well enough. I'll tone them down a bit with some washes some time. Complete front end, stock and pistol grip donated by a mate who was having a clear out . Some parts from my own spares draw and a Tomtac gearbox and Bob's your uncle !

there's nothing wrong with an m4 with a hair trigger and no safety except when tapping the buttplate is enough to make it fire, then you might have gone too far...... tbf i've always wondered why speed gamers bother with "semi auto" surely allowing a mechanically capped full auto would (ironically) be safer.

There is no grey area. This is not true. Substantially not true. I don't mean to be rude, but not only is this also not true but its very misleading, if you purchase a RIF, you are only able to convert it (relevantly speaking from IF to RIF in terms of manufacturing a RIF) if you are 'still' eligible to purchase a RIF. If I buy a RIF when I am eligible, and if I at some point become ineligible (widely accepted to mean having not played a any insured UK airsoft site for a period of 12 months) I would lose my eligibility to also modify that article or any other article (a'la manufacturing a RIF) until my eligibility to purchase was restored. This is still true of an IF - buying (or eligibility to) a RIF doesn't give you carte blanche to convert your old IFs into RIFs. And in fact manufacturing is a far more dangerous offence than sale because sale places onus on retailers, whereas manufacturing attacks the little guy. If a person is eligible to purchase a RIF, they are eligible to "manufacture a RIF". This is not grey, it's black and white. In fact, they are eligible to manufacture a RIF from parts they do not own - on behalf (if acting without remuneration/contract) of a person ineligible to do the same. I repeat, there is no grey area. /notatroll
