  1. Risk of sounding too political here. The police cuts whilst a major factor, Is not as big a factor to the increase in crime as the massive cuts made to the social safety net and crime prevention programs over the past decade. Public money has been directed away from crime prevention schemes and put into the lucrative punishment system (For private profit). Prevention has always been more effective at cutting crime then increasing punishments. Prevention and support can help stop people turning to crime in the first place. If people are desperate enough to turn to crime to survive t

  2. Just wanted to expand on it a little! Ultimately being poor is the most obvious route to crime. Unfortunately its obvious that having so many people in poverty is a political choice. Sadly we have had nearly 40 years of "business friendly" governments.

  3. This is what bothered me about the whole thing. I’m black and when I was this on the news I was instantly cheesed off as to how this was portrayed. I felt the news focussed on the fact that they were black and not really focussed on the gun. I totally agree with the police response, as how are they supposed to know if it is a fire arm or a RIF. The mother said that they should knock on the door to ask if it was real or not - come on, what madness is this! If I did something like that, brandishing one of my RIF’s in the front window, I would expect some kind of police response at that level.

  7. Thanks for all your help guys, it went with an almighty crack (my hands and the rifle 🤣) Alas it was all in vein as the Nurpol Bocca tracer unit is 2mm too big in diameter to fit in the handguard 😥 Had to just stick a Lighter 5 unit on it instead

  8. The way it comes across to me is OP is seemingly trying to project a very hush, hush, "you know if you know" kind of mystique around his group as if he's recruiting for some actual military/government agency that is so secretive, it doesn't state what it's all about in the job description. Now, if this is how he wants to go about matters, that's fine, it just comes across a bit walty imo. Just update an existing post. No need for new threads with zero new information. OK, "things have changed", state the changes. You can't be arsed to type it out but you're going to have to anyway if some

  9. Hi Sam, I'm Ryan from Sheffield and am yet to go on my first battle. I was hoping to go to the Stan but it's closed at the moment. Where have you been looking to go? Does anyone have any recommendations or n where to go near Sheffield whilst the Corona virus is with us? I also need some Airsoft friends!!

  10. You may arrest, but you can also choose to interview under caution (PACE Code E and CJPO Section 34 apply to interviews under caution), and arrest only if the suspect is uncooperative. One difference (which you may or may not think is significant) is that US travel visas ask about arrests, not just convictions. I'd also have to disclose it in security vetting to UK and Septic agencies. Which is why I'm glad to see that Kai in this case was explicitly de-arrested, something that I don't believe happened to... I vehemently disagree with the d

For those arguing about self defence etc. Please see the legislation regarding your (public) use of Force Powers: Use of Force under Common Law: You have the right, to use reasonable force as necessary to protect yourself, others or property from an attack, and in doing so may use a preemptive strike. Also to prevent a breach of peace The force used must be reasonable, a person must prove that the force used was reasonable. So an example would be, you're minding your own business along the streets, some person accosts and squares up to you looking for a p

Finally got my 1st ak21 with a decent sight on it, only one battery tho and I'm starting to read that I could do with more and a better charger lol got my bbs and my carry case but i dont have any form of face gard yet. I am the only person I know that has any interest in airsoft and I just cant bring myself to go on my own to a airsoft site near me (Rotherham/Sheffield) It's a bit of a cringe to say all this but I need some airsoft friends lol. I know covid has messed everything up for everyone so I'd more the

  16. Hi all, I decided to start with Airsoft again after 8 years and I would like to buddy up with someone around my location to go play with together. I played for 4 years in Czech Republic and stop when I moved to London. So I don't know anyone in this country to play with and as (I believe) most of you know go play by yourself is not best feeling. So is here someone around Stratford (London) or close East London area that would take one team mate under their wing? Thanks for responses Your truly Angry Pete

  18. @RMDavis as has been said, deffo not plug and play. Detonator are one of the best, but unless the slide is super light CNC at the very least you’ll need to replace the recoil and hammer spring. I’ve built dozens and dozens of pistols, mostly Glocks, and every Glock has either been a pain in the butt, or a massive pain in the butt.

  21. Myself and George play out sometimes. I am based in Dagenham just down the road. I am kind of useless unless you like my company as I cannot drive! I typically head out on the train Essex way to go to a site. But I tend to go to as many as I can get to on Public transport. Check out the SE Tour reviews in the Skirmish review part of the forum. That will give you a good overview of what's around.

  27. That's exactly why I'd probably never sell any of my main guns. They've all been built from parts or boneyard guns and have had hundreds pumped into building them exactly how I want them but I know if it came to selling them, they wouldn't sell for more than £300

  29. Really varies from slide to slide. It's likely you'll will need to need to file here and there to enable it to run smoothly. Also you might even have to modify the outer barrel. A lot of the aftermarket manufacturers copied the shape of Marui's design but didn't factor-in that the TM outer barrel flexes a bit as it's plastic, whereas a metal outer barrel won't. Funnily enough I've just put a metal slide and guarder frame on my G17. It certainly looks and feels much nicer but as you mentioned, it does affect cool weather performance. For the price of one of those slide a

  32. Being a biker myself I can't help but echo this statement. I think we can all agree that there are numerous parts of the UK where crime is an increasing issue which has been fuelled, in no small part, by police cuts. One of the follow ups I've seen reported about this particular incident is from an official, flatly stating the situation is being blown out of proportion and made significantly worse by the mother's attempts at claiming that this was all racially motivated. Sadly this is yet another case where the victim card will be played to its fullest in the hope of a

I'm sure you don't, I'm not particularly looking for a scrap but if you rattle my chain I will bite, so maybe in future you should consider how you word your posts, yours was neither funny or correct. I'm all for a bit of banter but we are discussing crime, it's prevalence & the lawful (& sometimes unlawful) response it solicits.

  36. I really like the new viper stuff. I got a jacket and trousers in their sale for £45 - sizing is a bit odd, but the jacket i really dig. Trousers i had to go a size down a they didnt have my size - so a touch tight but surprisingly good. Jacket - like i said odd sizing as it's a bit tight in the shoulders but baggy on the forearms. Mind you, i've yet to try it under a plate carrier. But wearing out on a drizzly, muggy day out to Aldi was really good and breathable. edit: so postie turned up today with the last of my summer spending. T

I've never had an issue at all, maybe you just look like more of a target then you think you do? Also carrying a "tool" around is just absolutely mental behaviour and is exactly the sort of thing that may get you in fatal trouble with the police or someone else. I saw someone try to st

The words "his" and "moped" set me off, we know exactly how he got it, and what he was using it for. In this case, well, Kai's mum thinks that's a "toy" gun. That's what I call mine too, but with the full knowledge that they're not treated as firearms (imitation or otherwise) only by a quirk of legislation. All that said, I'm drawing a clear distinction between a drug dealer riding a stolen scooter without license or insurance, and a kid with a leg

  39. Was a very sad case but my reaction was similar. My very first thought was if he was 14 why was he on a moped? it wasn't his, he couldn't have had it legally so why was he on one. I know loads of kids 'with' mopeds and I always say the same. I work with mostly low income families and when I see their 15/16 year old son on one its always my first question, as usually the answer is drug money. Either bought illegally with drug money, or its nicked/passed around so they can do ride outs or deliver drugs. Therefore they are generally in that 'life' and more often than not involved in s

From my understanding as they only really cater for the Japanese market, they don't worry about the licencing side of things. Compare that to WE who make theirs with blank slides and WE logo's on the grips. Not to say TM's trademarks are always 100% accurate of course.
