  1. This one isnt mine, but it's just fantastic. An airsoft lemat revolver with a functioning grapeshot barrel to boot.

  2. Some things I would add to any shopping list if the gun has been sat a while. Hop rubber - £10 M90 - M100 main spring - £5 Piston O-ring. - £2 AK2M4 has you covered here. https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/hop-up-buckings-nubs/laylax-prometheus-bucking-purple https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/springs/zci-aeg-spring-m90 https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/pistons-heads/piston-head-o-ring-viton-19mm It just means you have the best chance of getting the gun up to spec whilst it's in bits. for the sake of spending under £20 it's well worth the extra spent.

  3. As a pistol grip fix I would try this: (got nothing to loose) - Scratch up the area of the screw mounts with a knife or rough sand/glass paper. (The better you do this the better chance it will hold) - Thoroughly clean and de-grease it. - Coat the screws with thin layer of grease and screw into the holes a little way just so they hold. (not all the way in) - Using small strips of kitchen towel soaked in super glue, apply layers to broken area like paper machee around the exposed screw until it looks strong enough (probably 6-10 layers?). The strips should be long enough to go around the screw mount and onto the flat area either side. - Allow to dry thoroughly As for motor, as Iceni said, its a common motor type. (AK2M4 sells quality stuff so that's a good bet) Just look for LONG type motors and get the one you like.

  4. The LCT pistol grip might fit, At £15 it's worth a gamble since it's a UK shop selling it. https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/lct-lc008-lc-3-pistol-grip-black As for the motor. You can pretty much pick what you want within reason. If you want a cheap all round one then the AK2M4 16 or 22tpa would be reasonable. 16 been faster but if you are running 11.1v lipo's I'd probably go 22tpa. https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/motors-parts/gp-16tpa-motor-long https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/motors-parts/gp-22tpa-motor-long The motor is also a D type pinion, So you could just pick up the pinion gear. https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/motors-parts/shs-ra-motor-pinion-gear-d-shaped-mim You will have to inspect the rest of the gears to make sure there is no damage.

    Small Dimensions Lipo

Actually capacity is an issue depending on how you plan to use the battery. Small capacity batteries can only supply low amperage, and you will cap the output fairly quickly if you are planning on using a small battery to say power a tuned AEG. Plugging an AEG into a battery that can not supply enough amps will cause the battery to overheat. I would not expect any lipo pack to have reliable thermal protection. An 18650 does in the form of a fuse, but a lipo pack is a different animal without the fused top cap. Capacity and discharge (C) work together to give you the amperage of the battery. Take a random battery (invented for demonstration). 7.4v 2S 500mAh 15/30C - 500mAh is 0.5Ah. - 0.5Ah x 15C = 7.5amps continuous discharge - 0.5Ah x 30C = 15amps burst discharge If you plugged that into a stock AEG pulling 10-15amps the chance of an overheating and potentially thermal runaway battery would be high. Dangerously so. A typical airsoft AEG battery looks more like this. 7.4v 2S 1300mAh 15/30C - 1300mAh is 1.3Ah. - 1.3Ah x 15C = 19.5 amps continuous - 1.3Ah x 30X = 39 amps burst. The continuous discharge of 19.5 is over the 15amp draw rate, meaning whilst it'll get hot, it should be safe from thermal runaway. If you are trying to make a performance AEG with uprated motors and ROF then be even more vigilant to amp draw. You simply can't make an M4 pistol that does 25rps, and run it on anaemic batteries, You'll be throwing a pile of burning plastic on the floor after a few bursts. There are ways around small battery spaces. Tell us what the AEG is, Show us all a picture ect. And people on here will have some form of safe solution that works.

    Dmr Base Build.

Hi all, My next project is going to be a DMR and I’m looking for an ideal base gun to start with. I like the M16A4 (and no it doesn’t have to be a 7.26 for me) I was thinking: https://gunfire.com/en/products/sa-b06-one-tm-carbine-replica-black-1152200035.html Or something a bit different https://www.taiwangun.com/en/electric/cm-040-cyma?from=listing&campaign-id=22 I’m looking to spend max £200 on the base gun as I’ll be throwing some junk into it later down the line. I’d prefer full metal. I’m interested in members thoughts and opinions. Thanks in advance PS (something like the image) Ron

    Shs High Torque: Lemon?

I remember reading the ASG Ultimates don't have a bearing in the motor tower. How much of downside would you say this is when compared to others? Nope not in the UK, I have some family there though. I'm afraid new brushes will not solve the issue because the ones that are in there are brand new. You might want to check order 10024 from your store The best I can find right now for the Tienly 25K is around £60 which is up there but I'm definitely considering it. On the upside the gears I got from you are running like a charm. A definite upgrade over the BD ones I had.

@RonLancs I've finally finished (or so I thought) my MK12 build Just chrono'd it and with the M120 spring it's hitting about 480FPS on 0.2's! Set to hop something heavier it's still doing 450+ so I'm thinking that an M110 should be plenty (aiming for 420). I'm about to pull it apart again though because the shimming sounds like crap but build list so far: E&C M4 receiver E&C V2 gearbox & interior gubbins SLD 18:1 gears (about to get swapped for some ZCI advanced ones) Ultimate Infinity CNC U-18000 motor Maxx ME Pro hop unit Maple Leaf Macaron 60 deg hop rubber CYMA outer barrel 363mm ZCI inner barrel Z-Parts MK12 suppressor (had to have the MK12 outer barrel machined to accept the thread as the cover it has is a dummy!) Thank you for reply. The replica is made by Bolt and they use wooden grips which as beautiful as they are, they are also but thicker than tm plastic and takes more space. Also they use steel brackets at each end which takes bits of length as well. Is made card board model of the battery I found and it could fit under condition that it wont arrive with 2m of wires 😅 I will buy it and let you know it it will fit - just in case there are any other aks74u Bolt users here

If It's the TM then they recommend the Mini S NiMh battery. Double check those dimensions as I think those batteries are bigger than the dimensions you have listed. It should be the same dimensions as one of these. https://www.componentshop.co.uk/8-4v-1600mah-2-3a-nimh-mini-battery-pack-3x2-1.html 111 x 34 x 18 mm If that is correct then you can use a big block lipo. https://www.componentshop.co.uk/7-4v-1300mah-25c-continuous-discharge-lipo-battery-giant-power-mini.html 94 x 31 x 13 mm 7.4v 1300mAh 25/50C Or one of these monsters might fit as well. I know I can fit these in my Aug that also uses mini s sized batteries. https://www.componentshop.co.uk/7-4v-2200mah-30c-continuous-discharge-airsoft-lipo-battery.html 103.6 x 34 x 15.5mm 2200mAh 30/60C 66A continuous discharge, 132A burst.

Thank you gor your reply I am not trying to build a monster I got AKS74U which has only space in front grip to store battery. Original battery has dimensions 95x20x10 and closest I found so far is 101x20x10 which is 1000mah 7.4v and 20/40c so unless I find any even shorter I will give it a try.

  28. starting gear can be relative to what you want. at minimum you'll want good goggles, good boots, and a facemask isn't a bad shout either. however aside from that there's a lot of options, camo is very much optional in this hobby so feel free to run round in jeans and a t-shirt (plenty of players do this by choice anyway so you aren't going to look too out of place) although if you're playing outdoors camo does help, surplus dpm or flecktarn is cheap and effective. gloves and a hat/ear covering is optional but recommended (getting hit in the fingernail hurts something shocking) in terms of guns, you'll have a better idea after renting for a couple of games, but a g&g raider (other cheap aeg's are available) with its included hi-cap, a battery and charger is all you need to get going. things like pistols etc are fun but not strictly necessary. to expand from that a couple of extra mags is going to be useful in-game, a cheap chest rig will be useful too. after that the sky is the limit, and what guns/gear you have very much becomes a matter of personal preference. as a fresh start probably best to find a local site and rent for a few games (when they re-open of course), it'll give you a better idea of the hobby. while you're there have a chat with folk, airsofters love to show off their kit so getting some inspiration isn't going to be hard.

  29. You've pushed the auto contacts in a little. On the gearbox you have 2 sets of contacts, the AK style ones inside the gearbox for semi, and the 2 contacts and plate on the inside of the trigger. It's the trigger ones that need some adjustment, You need to grab something thin and flat and just pull them away from the gearbox body towards the plate on the trigger a touch. It'll only be 1-2mm movement required. You have to move both pins as the pins are the contacts not the plate on the trigger (all the plate is doing is acting like a bridge). If when you rebuild you find that the gun is going straight to auto with no semi then you went too far. It's a pretty small margin of adjustment. You only need to adjust 1 pin towards the gearbox when this happens.
