Hey, at the end of the day we are all playing dress up and an advanced version of 'Soldiers' with expensive toys. In my view Airsoft is one of the most accepting communities there is. Everyone has the same interest and everyone seems happy with that. Believe me when I say, I come from a completely different world of Professional Motorsport and that is one of the most pompous and clicky communities going!!! How are you going to make a plate carrier? I would assume if you turned up with a cardboard version (🤪) you may get a few initial looks but then people would just get on with it. If you are going to stitch one together then definitely no. I think people would be impressed that you even attempted it. However, I would have thought it would be cheaper to buy one wouldn't it. Viper make some pretty cheap plate carriers. I know this is on offer but here is one for just over £20 (Here). Add a few pouches and you should be all in for less than £50.

Little Lock Down MP5 build. ICS metal upper with JG lower and stock. JG gearbox with ICS barrel and hop. Still some fettling to do yet before I chrono it but happy with how it's coming together.

    Lct G3 Foregrips

Yup that's all that causes the problem, the high caps feed fine tho. The way the mags are bent into shape and the plastic internals just don't quite work perfectly together. The internals sit a little low, and have some space to twist away from the feed tube. The internals are only held solid by the fit and one screw into the base plate that slides off. Once you see the issue the fix is pretty easy.

Mate your only 10yrs older than me, & I remember when nothing was thrown away, if it couldn't be repaired it was "repurposed" lol, plus having served in the military when much of the kit was shite (early-mid 80's), we were always modding non parade kit, or mixing with better stuff from other services/nations, which makes me appreciate the exceptional quality load carrying kit that can be had so cheaply. I get if you want to have a tinker to see what's achievable, fill yer boots, but if enjoying your first few skirmishes is a plan, then going with the super lightweight option I recommended first, little man bag etc, will pay you dividends, especially with knackered knees etc. Mine are fooked & awaiting surgery, which won't happen anytime soon, & even when we hopefully return to some semblance of normality I should imagine orthopaedic ops are gonna be bottom of a very long list, even my radiotherapy's been cut short by two weeks......BUT when we get the ok to start playing again, I'll be out there "running" (aka hobbling) the the manbag & slung rifle, no struggling for me. Sorry if I've kept on & laboured the point, but other players will back me up on this, that we've all seen players who are not at their peak, for any number of reasons, & who are struggling in inappropriate sweat inducing kit, often before they've even left the safezone at the start of the day. Whatever happens, make sure you post up pics of what you knock up, I'm sure you'll get plenty of advice & a smidge of constructive criticism. Good luck Mark

loads of people make or modify their own kit, it's one of the great things about this hobby. i have run mountain bike helmets in the past, mainly at night shoots for the primary goal of preventing me splitting my head open walking into low hanging branches. if you look at a lot of the operator style helmets they do share some similarities, after all protecting a human head from trauma forces a similar evolution.

    Wanted KWA MP7 GBB

I know you may want this a collector wall hanger which is fair enough as it's 1:1, but if you want it for gaming do yourself a favour and get the TM version. Ive owned both and the KWA is quite self destructive, poor on gas and shockingly poor accuracy/range 😘 Happy Easter!!

  13. Got a few photos of my latest kit progression. Think it's coming together nicely now though. Feldwebel Reinhold Zimmerman of II Kompanie 125th regiment of 21st panzer division at Normandy 1944. He scans the hedgerows for movement and checks his bearings before moving on with his trupp.

  15. I am under 18, and I only intend to collect replica guns and use them occasionally in the garden./back yard and not play airsoft. I want to collect RIFS, but I need an UKARA and nobody in my friends or family has UKARA and I don't want to be buying of some shady seller (That's Final). How could I get a RIF Thanks
