  1. It's nice to see a forum that's not totally dead like so many others! So here is something a bit different from the norm. A WWII kit thread. I'll start it off with my Heer stuff. Feldwebel Reinhold Zimmerman of II Kompanie 125th regiment of 21st panzer division at Normandy 1944. He scans the hedgerows for movement and checks his bearings before moving on with his trupp. #milsim #filmsim #battlesim #worldwar2 #ww2 #airsoftuk #airsoft #bbwar #uk #bbwar #airsoftgun #airsoftnation #panzergrenadier #grenadier #southwest #devon #cornwall #german #reenactmentww2

  2. Thinking of building a Polish Blyskawica, but not sure on the base gun, a sten would be perfect but the magazine is on the side and not the bottom, can anyone help?

    False Economy?

STTi Mk23 owner here. Running a Hadron TDC, autobot 60 bucking and crazyjet barrel it easily outranges AEG's and happily flings a 0.4 for me. Currently using 0.32's just to be a touch more conservative though. Throw on one of @Samurai's short suppressors and the thing is arguably silent. The only thing it doesn't have is rate of fire that you got an a GBB but that's why I carry both a G18C and the Mk23.

    1911 Mini Holster?

@Tackle - makes sense... post about looking for a holster but advertise as for sale less than 24 hours later. Ah well, I tried. 😂

I'm hoping not to. Not gone for a tight barrel and hoping the long airbrake will take a good chunk off. I'm finding the 2J just isn't enough for what I want, if I ran without air brake it would likely be ok. Can lose weight off piston as well.

  6. Feels good to finally spend a day involved with Airsoft. I'd actually missed the lower back pain and overall exhaustion. I didn't actually skirmish but have spent half the day sweeping up the BB's at the end of my garden!

    False Economy?

STTi one I believe. No problems with it, apart from he prefers the TM version he bought off of me as the silencer works, as the cheaper version is just really a barrel extension.

    False Economy?

I got an STTI one which had good reviews here and elsewhere but when I got it I was very disappointed. It had really low fps and poor hop so BB's fell after a few metres. I must have got a lemon but I sent it back and didn't get another. Bio BB's take years to degrade so you'll be seeing them on the ground for a looooong time The best solution is to get/make a good catch box so they don't go anywhere else.

  9. I love my impression kits and I have toyed with the idea of putting together WW2 and/or various Cold War kits but one thing which tends to hold me back is that I need something protecting my chest (health related) which inevitably generates some issues. The Lee Enfield No.4 which has been teased a lot over the past year or so looks incredibly promising. Your kits look incredible. As far as WW2 kit goes I'll admit I've got a soft spot for the 352. Infanterie-Division from Normandy along with the kit used by British Para's during Operation Market Garden. I've never really

  11. Tackle, the stens are mild steel, the stock tube is stainless steel, for some unknown reason. I took one to bare metal, heated the parts till they were straw coloured and quenched them in hydraulic oil. As stainless won't react to that, that was heated till it was almost white hot which blended it in a bit more with the rest of the gun, then had to oil quench the mild steel parts that are attached to it. Came out looking pretty. I would say the sten is the best starting point too. You've at least then got the mag well and a mag, receiver, shroud and barrel done. It won't be 100% but you'l

  13. Ordered an M16A1 grip, old-stock PTS rear MBUS (FG), TM M45A1 + 2 x mags from Fire-Support since they had the best price on the pistol by a decent margin. Normally wouldn't post in here without pics but I'm on base and can't go home until this all blows over (whenever the fuck that is) so yeah. Just gotta shop online and hope I get hands on my stuff in a couple of months. Which tbh I have done many times before on work 'trips' but when it's only an hour drive away there's a bit of a frustration factor I'll admit.

  14. Thanks, most of the kit is repro but a few items are original but mostly just personal items like the deinglas and code marching compass which are war time originals and so on.

  16. This is actually my II Kompanie 125 regiment kit again but post op nordwind hence the MP44. Unfortunately I took this photo before I realised my sumpfmuster 44 smock had loads of excess dye that needed washing out so doesn't look very good in this photo compared to the first ones uploaded.

  19. More to the point what site was it that was open? Any registered UKARA site that cares so little for public safety that it was open this weekend deserves to be shut permanently and should be boycotted by the whole responsible airsoft community.

Quick share, GSPEC mode activated. Using a new FAST hop with SBA 60 flat hop and a ZCI 380mm stainless @ak2m4 barrel, it does protrude into the suppressor a bit but wow does it feel more agile.

  21. This is really minor but I have my first cqb game next week and there's some dark areas. Was looking at a pressure pad torch but didn't fancy paying £20 or whatever incase I didn't like it so modified this £1 petrol station torch using a bit of an old biro! VID-20200215-WA0006.mp4
