More to the point what site was it that was open? Any registered UKARA site that cares so little for public safety that it was open this weekend deserves to be shut permanently and should be boycotted by the whole responsible airsoft community.

Spent a useful afternoon removing many, many layers of paint from my MWS...and then the 5 mags. Looking much nicer in the dark grey / black and slightly battered look 😁

I was after a "real steel" optic and was given this Qwik Point on a random shotgun mount (I'm guessing an Automatic 5?). It's interesting, albeit a bit rubbish. It might look cool on my retro M16 AEG, or I might use it as a spotting scope for my camera

I’m pretty sympathetic to the financial position that small businesses find themselves in and agree that the governments response could have been far better. However given all the advice on social distancing that has been out (including the announcements before the weekend that schools were closing as were pubs and restaurants) I fail to see how a responsible reaction is to get a load of people, many of whom who would otherwise not ever meet, together in order to run around with toy guns...

It's staggering people have still not yet grasped how dangerous the situation is...

Just had work done to make my MTR go for a Mk18 Mod 1 style. New rail system, grip, stock, and had the barrel cerakoted.

Proper chortle. So, after posting my pic (above) to Facebook's Airsoft Heretics group (worth a join), this chap was inspired to make his own Astra Militarum gear in one 40-hour week constructing frenzy. Have I started something? After all this blows over, I'm half seriously wondering if it might be possible to put together a squad of the Emperor's faithful at some national event or milsim-lite. I mean, it is milsim, just from 38,000 years in the future.

Been dipping a toe into DIY teching, tried spraying for the first time. G&G SOC M14 tiger stripe attempt #1. I'll install the longer barrel group once I get the gearbox sorted out, using the short SOC barrel assembly here to see how the stock looks with everything installed.

Second ARP9 finished in a Deadpool theme. The first one sold so fast we were asked to do a second. My favourite ARP9 so far. Finished in a Borderlands theme with custom Nerf scope to add a bit if "Sci fi"

Most of my paint jobs range in price from £70-£100. Something like an M4 in a worn tan with one mag would be the £70 option. The Templar m4 wouldn't actually be much much as there weren't that many colours used. Probably £80. Prices climb a little if it's something like the HALO or Boba Fett finish as thete is more masking involved. In general though all paint finishes are £100 or under. Only time it goes above that is when there are multiple mags and attachments that all need painting too. I've been told I'm too cheap but being a married man with 2 kids myself I know a lot of folks don't have cash to splash about and I enjoy doing them and seeing the reactions they get. Hope that helps. The jacket was my first go at distressing clothing. On one side, the dirtier looking side, I used a lot of acrylic spray paint and really thinned down oil paints to give the appearance of stains. On the other I used a sludge that came out of the heating system when we were putting in a new kitchen. The paints work as you woukd expect but give the material a bit of a stiff feel to them. The sludge worked just like a dye and left the fabric nice and soft. I need to get hold of some 'Dirty Down' fabric crayons as they would be much better for around the cuffs, collar, elbows, etc. I'm also going to get some black and brown clothes dye to play about with. So far it's all been an experiment. Posted below are a few more pics as I've added some stencils and a back pack. Still quite a bit to do but it's good fun.
