  2. All this arrived today. The plan was to buy two spanners and an air nozzle. Ended up buying more stuff than I was planning to upgrade. However, in my defence I managed to stop buying new gears and shims though lol.

  3. Wow a lot of castrated guys in here...do your partners at least allow you to see the glass jar with your balls in when you've been good boys? Also, can we flip it and add people who make ridiculously low offers or trades such as "Fancy trading a five year old Honey Badger for your fully upgraded TM NGRS package? I'll even throw in a 9.6v NiMH to sweeten the deal!"

  4. I think I am at that happy place too re collecting have 7-8 gats that I know and love, really into gas guns, not interested in AEGs which limits my purchases handily. The only only thing I am interested in thats coming up is the Viva Arms SKS.

  5. Yeah it was a status update. Thing is the software I believe asks you to update as soon as you start it so one naturally does it I guess.

  6. I have a Gate NanoAAB on my M249. It is not completely solder less but they do supply a lead that runs to your trigger contacts. You could crimp on some spade connectors to attach to the trigger. The rest is just plug and play as the other end of the contact lead plugs straight into the mosfet. You then simply plug one side of the Nano into your rifle deans plug and the other side of the Nano plugs into your battery (As shown in the attached image). Sorted. They don't have any of the burst, multi, drum and bass speed fire ridiculous options but they are only a smidge over £20.

  7. The most basic one will do the job in preventing early damage to the contacts, although you'll have to do some soldering. Basically it uses the trigger blades as a simple signal input, most of the current goes directly from the battery to the motor (passing through the fet of course). Or you could swap the standard mechanical blades with a microswitch and wire it to your electronics of choice. Take all this with a grain of salt as I'm pretty bad at electric/electronic stuff. If you don't want to solder then you're stuck with complete sets like Titans/Asters, Leviathans and Perun Opticals.

  8. Actually, if you have the ETU trigger still inside the gearbox, Perun makes an upgrade kit for roughly €50, it replaces the mosfet so you don't have to open the box and gives functions like binary trigger (which I absolutely love), tuneable precocking, AB, tuneable burst fire (1-5 burst) on both semi/auto switches, plus a number of QOL settings like battery savers and such..

  9. Ahhh but the best tech's end up becoming airsoft engineers in the end due to TM compatibility BS In an ideal world, stuff would drop in and work like it should 99.99999% of the time however due to gearboxes among so many other things being so fucked up files & dremels are not so uncommon sorting out stuff to make shit happen coz wanky tolerances A couple of boxes need modding slightly to fit in Titan's due to switch area being wanked or extra casting that fouls it plus sticky bits coz different selector plate differences and ensuring optical sensors work as they should We shouldn't have to do this (so much), but at times it seems to get shit to work flawlessly most shit needs a tweak (or at least thorough checking to ensure it will fucking work as it should) For the record - I'm still a trainee apprentice, but one day hope to attain apprentice trainee tech status For the CD - I've met plenty of people label "tech's" in various industries some of them just inform you something is fucked - job done "It is fucked mate" they say "So how can it be fixed ???" I ask "Don't know, not my department, you need to speak to one of our engineers" came the reply "Oh - thanks, I did wonder if it was fucked, but thank you so much for clarifying that" - jeeeez Then again the term "engineer" is way too overly used at times...

  10. Well, that's why they're called techs and not airsoft engineers. You don't need an engineering background to be hired as a tech for anything either.

  11. Gate has a new unit due out soon called the WARMITE... (Think this thread has demonstrated this quite well tbh) PS for the record I fucking love Marmite, but not spread with a plasterers trowel ffs... but not missus who has to have the butter spread thoroughly, then scraped off (not too much butter) then same to Marmite, spread properly then almost completely scraped off (fuck it - make your own if you are gonna be that fussy) Once, many years ago when I lived at home, my GF (now Mrs Duck) complained the Marmite on toast was way too much So my dear ol' mum bless her, said yeah you put way too much on, she doesn't like it too thick I know what you mean luv, I'll do ya some Marmite on toast... FUCKING LAID IT ON twice as thick, absolutely covered it, more like Toast on Marmite and GF was trying to not offend and stay polite she had to eat it trying not to hurl So on that note, Titans are like Marmite shall we say ???

  12. Not owned one yet, my shooting partner picked one up and got it installed on his 416. It's really nice. He has it set up with a little travel on the trigger, then the microswitch just gives a little resistance before the shot. Not sure how hard they are to set up, My shooting partner is an ex-Armex/Umarex tech so he makes everything look effortless.

  13. LMFAO. Actually a titan isn't needed for any of those things, And a titan certainly doesn't add those things, the build of the gearbox does. It's not a magic box - It's more a wetware redundancy.

  14. Only £500 lol. I think my G3 rinsed me for far more than that! I mean there's a £450 scope on it And yes it does get skirmished with the scope. I think the titan is kind of a melting pot of ideas. It does a lot of things well, but it also doesn't. It's kind of making excuses for a badly built gun. You ROF is too high, Titan will fix that, You need a trigger delay, Titan can fix that ect ect. The trouble is all of the problems it fixes are not problems if you know how to tech a gun. So asking a gun tech to fit one is kind of insulting. You want the highest RPS - HPA engine. You want the best trigger - GBB or Jefftron leviathan You want a durable gearbox - Build the fecking thing right in the first place. You want to protect the contacts - Dumbfet You want battery protection - Buy a second battery and swap it at lunch. Every problem it fixes has already been fixed.

  15. Love my TM M4..but today's winner was my G&G MP5 SD6 - This gun just rocked @ West Midlands Airsoft. So light and nimble, sneaking through dense undergrowth was so easy with my belt kit.

  16. When I started airsofting in 2006, I had a desire to have everything. I went through MP5's, M4's sniper rifles, just for the pure fact that they looked cool (also had an impact on big films during that time - Blackhawk down as an example). Then it got to a point that I had such a large airsoft collection, I had guns that I never skirmished with. From that point I started to reduce my collection and due to work and moving house, I did not have time to airsoft due to work. Then I got back into airsoft, a few years back and I feel I am much more wiser (no disrecspect to anyone) - I know what I really want and have. The airsoft scene had really moved on and now I have the stuff that I want. When I speak to new airsofters, I can understand "ah wow, I want this and that!" as I have have been there too. I try to encourage new players to speak to other airsofters, try out before parting with your hard earned cash. I still have that airsoft bug, but now it is suppressed from the memories of when I first started. I still look around seeing new guns that I really like the look off, but that's really it for me (Also I did work out how much I spent in a year when I first started - silly money I spent). With going through that vicious circle, I love airsofting even more.

  17. That's when I first decided to do airsoft 2 years ago, bought a set up got in trouble with the wife as she found the receipt so sold it all, then went a year and decided to get going again (got my stuff delivered to work then snuck it into my shed gradually). I am glad of the advise and have tweeked my listing slightly.

  22. Advice to everyone. Do not update your Gate Titan's software to latest version, your gun won't work after if you do so..
