  4. Depends...how low is your chest? Facetious comments aside, if it works for you, it's where it needs to be. Simple.

    I also have a Magpul MOE stock, I needed to shim my buffer tube to eliminate wobble. Edit: Brain died and got mixed up between sizes for commerical and mil spec, ignore me. Turns out my Magpul stock was commerical spec.

  7. Load bearing kit won't really play in to that as much as your clothing, though obviously any rig will not allow sweat to evaporate through it unless it's like a vest that's mostly mesh. Primarily don't wear anything with cotton in it, cotton fibres love soaking up water, go for pure synthetics (poly and nylon) especially on the base layers so you don't have a moisture sat next to your skin, but this applies to all layers. Almost all camo uniforms are poly/nylon and cotton blended together, if you really want to stay dry get a cheap UK mil issue t-shirt (they wick and dry as quick as any gucci kit if not better) and wear a non-insulated softshell of the best quality you can afford (the fleece insulated ones hold on to sweat and makes it take far longer to be transported from the inside to the outside of the jacket). If you add in a mid-layer make sure it's highly breathable and lets air through, not something thick and dense that'll hold on to that evaporated sweat.

  8. General question re; harness+belt vs. a plate carrier - does a plate carrier setup help much in the winter we're now getting into? In the summer I'd sweat buckets with just my harness and belt, I suppose a shirt under my invader gear top might help in winter but yeah just wondering how they fare for you guys in different weather. Edit: Might aswell post my helm. Got my new TMC RAC headset in tan today, looks a lot better imo; vs old;

  9. Yes. The top should sit right in line with your nipples, so that your belly is clear of anything. Depends primarily on how comfortable you feel though. I like my rigs to sit high, others like them low and sloppy around their bellies

  10. Technically probably should be around 2-3 inches higher. However, as lozart said, if it works for you and you can get to everything quickly, why change it

  11. Did consider it, but going for a Ranger Wg loadout and they use M4s and 416ds. Plus I don't like AUGs

  12. Praise Judy. Gun gamers say bad things about good products. Hell he loves krytac and made a whole video bashing things to do with them because he likes them so much hes found almost all the little issues and niggles people should know about. That is how you can tell they aren't just trying to sell you things or use their "influence" to peddle shit.

  13. Been on a wee bit of a splurge. Tokyo Marui MWS and 3 extra mags Complete set of Irish Army camo - which is really expensive and rare as its illegal for anyone in Ireland to sell it or wear it unless in the Irish military. The Irish Government also holds the licence so only Arktis do any copies as they supply the Army Ranger Wg and its really expensive from them. £85 for a pair of trousers!! The smock I picked up is much much better than our issued British kit, waterproof lined from the get go.

  17. How do these things ever work? Trying to restore the air-seal on my MP5K, we're talking tiny fractions of a mm in barrel alignment between "won't feed" and ""dribbles out". Never, ever replace the stock parts in your gnu. Ever.

    A friend and myself called in to PB last week. The two staff members working that day couldn't have been more ignorant if they tried. One of them actually turned the shop music up while my friend was trying to ask him a question. Such a shame and not the service we're used to.
