Evening all, this isn't reddit, WhatsApp or Facebook, its the common sense no bs alternative to those platforms, so we try to encourage informative positive posts, which admittedly get hideously derailed lol. But this kinda hair pulling bitchy drama, nah, fuck that, life's too short. FEEL MY ADMIN POWER BITCHES😜5 points

Fucking lmao all of us rushing to post that one. On what planet is the KWA the absolute GOAT of MP7s? It's a pile of junk, and definitely not worth anywhere near that much. Bro is really trying to market the hell out of this thing.2 points -

The Annoying Ads
BYRNEMORGAN52 and one other reacted to Tackle for a topic
Guys, in case anyone isn't aware, the latest run of overly large, & exceptionally annoying ads aren't intended to be a permanent fixture, Proffrink is working hard, when he has the time from his irl commitments, to sort it & I believe migrate the page to a new host site, which should sort most of the issues. Obviously its not a 5 minute job, & in doing so the forum will likely experience some downtime, at least until its all completed. So in the meantime we'd ask you to be patient, there's no need to pm the mods about it, were experiencing the same issues & its just as frustrating for us lol. On the subject of ads in general, yes the forum has running costs, which im not privy to, but obviously the original banner ads (not the new annoying stuff), goes some way to mitigate the running costs, those ads are all airsoft related & not annoying in the least usually. Thanks for your patience🙏2 points -
Experiments with two sets. First one is soft posture and motorised, quite light setup, mostly Arktis Crossrig with WAS pouches coupled with a WAS battle belt with mostly Arktis pouches. Second one is dismounted long range/deep recce, heavier setup with OD PLCE attached to a BHI OD LBV to boost ammo capacity. Pics taken at Red Alert (Newbury) by the immensely talented Dan Wiltshire. P.S. No googles because no game, mags were empty, RIF was cleared by the photographer himself.1 point

Double Eagle M906C - Internal upgrades / tinkering
Herrgh reacted to pyromancer6 for a topic
The DE mosfet is a very similar dual board design similar to a GATE Titan so they drop right in. Unfortunately, the Perun gets stuck on a little nub on the left-shell of the gearbox which requires a bit of fitment work. See Herrgh's posts: Dremel arrived just earlier. It's going to be a very painful couple of days (not helped by the fact I've got a fracture in my wrist!) UPDATE: Will be tomorrow instead - turns out the set of 15 accessories didn't include a metal die-grinder small enough to get at the peg without blasting half the gearbox. Did end up using the dremel to make my selector fit and able to move with the EZO bearings however. Overshimmed the shit out of it so they were as pushed out as they're ever going to be & took off enough until it selected smooth, job's a gooden.1 point -

The 24mm CW thread on the Cyma AKSU is just a ring that threads onto the barrel's actual 14mm ccw thread. Here's mine with different muzzle devices, all 14mm ccw Although I see you have an LCT, in that case I don't think yours can accept 14mm ccw stuff natively...1 point

I see the name Hicks and I'm going to assume it's the same Hicks that threw a massive tantrum over me and my friend at the AI500 in Wales because we were tall; being 6'5" allowed us to shoot over a fence without blind firing (marshall standing next to us to make sure) and we spent an entire day abusing it to wipe him and his team out through the whole day because they couldn't figure out how to hit head-sized targets, or at least how to suppress targets. He threw tantrums in game, then also on Discord and Facebook afterwards and admittedly it was very amusing to watch. At the same time, why are you engaging with him? Why are you continuing to stir the pot and complain about how the bad men bullied you on loads of other corners of the internet? I'd get it more if you saw some shady behaviour (and by that I don't mean double standards, I mean scammers) and reported it as a PSA, but this comes across as crying and trying to stir drama. You're as bad as each other at this point.1 point

As has been said, WhatsApp is shit for classifieds, tried it myself there as a buyer, just getting a reply was hard work, definitely not how sales should be. As for the admin, yeah sounds like a heavy handed dick, "do as I say, not as I do" definitely isn't the way to moderate, but at the same times I have no qualms getting the hammer out if someone gets nasty or abusive just because they're being asked to follow the rules. Common sense & balance is what's called for usually 🤔1 point

I've just turned them off. Google Adsense does 'auto ads' by default, and this meant basically spamming the entire site with them. Apparently it was 'running an experiment' and just implemented the results for everybody yesterday. The intention is for Adsense ads to appear in the normal two spots (header and footer). There should be no extra ads anywhere else. In terms of functionality they will just be like the ads already on AF-UK but provided by Google and in the same exact spot and size as those who directly advertise on AF-UK already. I would have noticed this sooner but funnily enough I don't see the Adsense ads as apparently it doesn't serve them to the account administrator (clicking your own ads is actually a policy violation too for obvious reasons so perhaps that's why). Sorry everyone for the temporarily more shitty experience. Edit: if you see any ads where they shouldn't be (or in a size that's not normal) please drop a message here and tag me.1 point

Selling this Specna Arms CORE M249 MK2. Only used it for 1 game day and it's only had about 1 magazine through it. Bought it, used it once and decided that play style was not for me. It's in excellent condition and is the version sold by patrol base so it comes with a SHS cylinder and piston head preinstalled. Comes with included magazine, excellent condition, sound controlled and powered by 2 AA's (not inc). Would like £180 inc postage via PayPal G&S and parcel force tracked48, video of it all functioning can be provided on request, contact me via forums or send me a Whatsapp message.£180

Double Eagle M906C - Internal upgrades / tinkering
pyromancer6 reacted to Herrgh for a topic
More data (as I realised the data set above doesn't show the point I was trying to make, that semi is low FPS until I add 1 step of Active Brake, which brings it in line with the FPS shown on auto). SEMI No AB, SEMI ABx1, and AUTO were recorded using a Solink brushless motor. The "Chaoli" lines are the same, but using the M906Cs stock (crap) motor. Motor is definitely responsible for this behaviour. Must be some sort of overspin or something, but I've definitely lost the magical sparkle that the DE factory put in the gearbox that allowed the stock setup to be quite stable in its FPS (around 290FPS on 0.25g), instead of the wild variances shown here. Precocking level 1 on semi (w/ solink motor) results in a slight drop in power from the levels for SEMI No AB. (Perun advise that AB and PC can't be on at the same time). Precocking level 5 on semi results in a doubleshot. My chronometer is an AceTech AC6000BT. It was a bit expensive so hopefully there are no issues with its accuracy!1 point -
