  1. So, AliExpress. It has its good points and bad points. I took a punt on this torch attachment as it was “on sale” roughly £12 I got it for. Came with a nice little hard case storage box and a number of extra attachment pieces if needed; https://a.aliexpress.com/_EGBpcO2 I then found the exact same model here in the UK at £39.95! https://uk-airsoft.co.uk/product/wosport-x300-a-flashlight-torch-sf-model-black/ In my eyes.. a bargain! 77196185087__4DC80C1D-2BC0-4EC4-9549-35D859FA2082.MOV

  2. This rather nice Cybergun/CYMA Scar L for a ridiculously low price. It is working nicely, except that the hop unit needs to be replaced; for some reason, I have one in the spares box. However, it will get the full service, including a Perun Hybrid, new gears and a new inner barrel.

  3. Just arrived. Was dry as balls out the box, a quick lube and it did 35 rounds before even starting to think about slowing on a 10 second charge of abbey gas.

  5. I was looking for a hard case for my MP7 and P99 and all the usual shops had ones that were too small or way too big. A search for flight cases and I found this. I thought I ordered it with pick and pluck foam but it arrived with a solid block so out came the craft knife and I've carved out enough to hold everything tight. It looks rough but as it is nothing moves so I might not bother tidying it up

  6. That's better than expected for those little cap-gun caps. Just waiting for the rifling for the inside of the launcher to finish printing and I can test if it 'whistles' through the air - As seen here. Sorry for how big the video is, I can't seem to resize it so I hid it inside a spoiler. FulcrumAirsoft on Cults3D

Good shout with this, I've got one and really enjoy using it. I am a fan of the extended mags as well. Have fun and practice

  8. That's the normal mechanical trigger operation, experienced the same "issue" in our rental guns. What I believe happens is that by pulling the trigger softly and slowly, the gun cycles but the cutoff lever cannot release the trigger trolley, effectively letting off more than one shot per pull, whereas a decise and firm trigger pull will make sure the COL engages the trigger trolley properly.

  9. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/custom-equipment/airsoft-gear-and-m4_i81922 Absolute doozy on this one, "top of the range gear" with absolutely zero information about any of it plus it's two tone and a backwards Eotech style sight. Anyone want to go halfs with me?

  10. I have the Ares L1A1; out of the box, it has a number of issues, most of which I have fixed although some, such as the overall poor design choices and the rather weak gearbox, are just something that you have to live with. Mine gets used regularly and, so far, has run well, which I would hope it did after all the work I have put into it. I have found Ares to be helpful with replacement parts if they have them in stock.

  11. The STAR/ARES SLR? I have both and both have done thousands of BB's over the years without a glitch. I've even fitted the full auto selector to one and again it's been bombproof. The company has a bit of a bad rep but outside people looking for youtube likes they aren't that bad. No better or worse that the bulk of AEG's. I have the King Arms Para FAL and it's no better or worse than the Ares apart from you are unlikely to get an external part from King Arms if it falls off and you loose it as their support game is weak.

Thanks everyone for the advice and guidance. I know the advice was to buy the TM gun but I ended up going with the WE, the weight and balance of the gun was just right and the supplying shop is only 10 mins away if it goes wrong, sorry and genuine thanks to everyone for their time in giving me guidance. Also picked up a couple of 30 round (extended) mags, to my eye the 40 round (extended) mags were just a bit much and standard 24 round were a bit normal. Managed to get a full mag and a full reload before running out of gas on both the standard and extended mags which I was quite happy with as I just took a small speed loader out in my pocket to double my ammo capacity. Tape is just there to help me recognise /recover it if it gets lost on a game day. Gun shot well on Sunday, 255fps on .28's which it shot straight and true. Me on the other hand needs more practice with a pistol before any level of accuracy can be determined. Enjoyed the GBB element so much I'm now wondering a if a GBB rifle should be in my future rather than a bolt action sniper but that's a question for another day.

  13. Another great day at Invicta Woodlands on Sunday, hot and sticky but not a lot you can do about that on a warm day after a thunder storm. Being father's day it was fairly quiet with around 75-80 players, half the usual crowd. No snipers, at least 3 mini guns and a lot of new players ment it was going to be a different kind of day. For kit I took my upgraded MP5K which I used for most of the first game until I got to hot and dumped it and its mags in the safe zone and went pistol only. MP5 with a drum mag for the second game using it as a support weapon to help keep the other team pinned down. For the last game I went with my new Sig 226 pistol only which made for a fun hour. First game was capture and hold the flag, two hour game which felt about right and due to the smaller than usual number of players the game flowed quite well, there weren't enough players to hold all of the flags so with a good push you could take a flag with 3/4 players. This type of game can drag out with bigger teams as once a team are dug in you just can't move them. Dumped the MP5K, mags, belt etc etc towards the end as I was just to hot, took the Sig 226 and a couple of 30 round mags out and just ran at the other team which worked well as everyone was flagging by that point, chalked up 3 back to back frags as I ran around the other teams flank. Second game was recover the boxes to base, first game we were trying to stop the other team. Rules are you need two people to carry a box and you can't fire while carrying. I used the MP5 with a drum mag (mostly) on full auto to help keep the other team from advancing. Really enjoy this type of game as they are very fluid with the action moving around the map with the teams and the boxes so its very fast and fluid, one quick advance or a well placed defender can change the game in a second. Third game was the reverse with our team moving the boxes, decided to leave the AEG(s) in the safe zone as it was scorching by this point, it was getting late in the day so I choose to play carry and run. With just the Sig on my hip, a spare mag and one of the much younger rentals we grabbed a box and ran, and made it to the drop point before the other team got there to stop us. Towards the end of the game when it got more intense I ended up with a riot shield in one hand and the Sig in the other heading to the drop off point, 4 rentals carrying boxes and a few team members providing cover fire, was one of the most intense fire fights I've been in and I will have bruises for a week. A plot twist was each team had 3x traitors who were wearing your colours but actually playing for the other team and you had to flush them out as you played. Got shot in the back while advancing a couple of times and called traitor on a team mate who was actually just a bad shot, LOL. Really great day out, similar games to usual but with much smaller teams the tactics and game play were different. Liked the pistol, just need to learn to conserve the ammo and do some target practice. Bring on the next game!

Where it all started 30 years ago & where it restarted 3 years ago... All my first AEG's in the 90's were springers except the Famas.

  19. I had delivered today the Bolt Airsoft Cobra. The looks on it are immense! reading through the leaflet, as I do any RiF I purchase, slapped in a small 7.4v lipo andddd SMOKE. Instant smoke from the connection wires and the battery. It’s a brand new battery. Absolutely gutted. On the phone to the retailer and back it goes. 😢
