    TM MP5 NGRS Owners

So I think I’ve found a solution to my issue. After some further tinkering, I found that putting a rubber washer underneath the mag insert allows the insert to raise up just a fraction once tightened down to the case. Now all mags feed flawlessly. hopefully this will help others.

  3. A second hand, resprayed two tone for well over the price of a new one; I can't see the problem.

  5. You know it. There’s an anodised endcap at either end and a 23mm dia carbon tube between them. I had the test run on my Underlever build but the finished articles are just about finished. The final versions will have matched splatter anodising to match the rest of each build

  6. Quite agree. That's not just a 'classic,' 'pre-loved,' 'vintage' gat there, it's full on shabby chic. Got to be worth several quid over a new 'un.

    G&G SMC-9

My mate had one but had to run it on white gas to pass chrono. I'd assume with a HPA adapter it would be absolutely fine. I think you can replace a nozzle or something to bring the power down but they were out of stock everywhere when he had his and he was dead against HPA at the time..... Until I got my MTW now all my mates have got them 😂 I had a few shots with it and it felt rather nice! That's all I can offer though.

  9. Wait until you see what’s coming next for mine. Got a couple of custom carbon fibre outer barrels for my short one and my underlever

  11. Hop rubber, nub and barrel are more important than anything you'll change in your gearbox, that's my two cents. Far easier to do as well

  12. If you want fun, go with the GBB version. If you want practicality, go with the AEP version. If you're HPAing it, the AEP version becomes an absolute CQB monster as it's silent, can run high cap magazines of 190 BBs and can be tuned really nicely. However, the GBB one will be far more fun to fire, though you're limited to lower capacity magazines and you need to disconnect and reconnect on each reload.

    Marui T-1 Style Red Dot

https://www.wgcshop.com/collections/new-arrivals/products/tm-rd-mtd I always found the pro sight interesting in terms of being the only red dot I know in existence that's designed to be resilient to bbs right out of the box. This isn't apparently but comes with the protector you need in the package which is the main thing. Very much the standard type style/design for Holosuns and Sig optics these days so doesn't scream airsoft aesthetically. Presumably good to go on rattle-y guns like the MWS given the price - that's what I'd expect from a TM production anyway. Whether it uses standardised T-1 mounting holes so that you can use 1000 different mount options remains to be seen.

  14. bit of a work in progress. Fitting LED's and laser to the TM Curve pistol. LED's work but the laser is giving me grief. Need to redesign the push button as the grey one on there now was just to get things working.

  18. Sorry. Man.. the Nemesis was ridiculously good. I think they've long stopped making it which is bonkers because for the money that's honestly a high contender for the best value bit of kit anyone could ever get and it's just the ideal size for skirmishing. Makes the garand thumb chest rig people jizz their pants over look a bit shit to be honest. For me, when this comes up (which is obviously not uncommon in online discussions) it's not actually about airsoft or kit or whatever, the question is a bigger one. If I had kids and a mortgage and bought everything I do then I'd have 0 savings and probably a good bit of debt, and getting debt for tacticool stuff is most definitely stupid. But that's not the case, I've saved and invested more than I've spent on this malarkey. Never having any savings and waiting for every pay cheque to come in to then immediately splurge on something you've been eyeing the past 3 weeks since last being paid is an almost sure fire sign you're shit with your money - speaking generally. Like the financial version of a dog on a leash just absolutely frothing to go chase a rabbit it won't even catch. I do a very, very similar thing to alxndr, I've got a word doc list I started around 2006 or so where I type in both everything I have bought and the things I'm planning on getting. Apart from anything I do do quite ambitious builds sometimes and I need to note it all down or I'd forget which parts are compatible with what etc. But as above, if it's not 'in the plan' I don't generally just buy stuff on a whim that I happen to come across and the aforementioned plan is very long term. I check the New Products pages at many big retailers frequently, but unless something crops up out of the blue that I've been really wanting for many years (usually 3-4+) then it's not going in the basket if it's not planned.

FINALLY got my hands on an MP5 and four spare mags. Found a solution for mounting a scout light which works really well, and allows use of the original TM forend for maximum battery space. The claw mount is the wide TM version. You can mount an optic towards the back, with room to spare for a Surefire offset mount in front of it. The Scout light is long enough that shadowing isn’t an issue, but short enough that ambidextrous handling is still possible without having to change the forend and use a vertical grip. Pressure switch is just taped neatly on the top, as I like to shoot thumb over bore / C-clamp. Got a night game coming up soon and can’t wait to try her out. The suppressor is the TM pro tracer, attached to the adapter which comes in the box with the MP5. Looks good enough for me.
