  1. I've just bought a Tippmann M4 setup from a certain member on here. Just without the long keymod and silencer. The wife was very happy to hear this news. It's ok, I actually like sleeping on the sofa.

  2. Bit the bullet and paid the silly price tag for a real magpul mlok swivel mount to replace my zip tie. Seems extortion for such a small part, but it does work and function very well. Now just need to decide on a new qd sling... Decisions decisions!

It's alright mechanics are pretty good. Weapon customisation is good. Spawns are preset, so if your an experience player you'll know where to look out for at the start of the round which takes a lot of the fun away. Enjoyed it so much I bought the Edge of Darkness edition. Not much point other than collect & sell guns. Not much to do either when you max the traders out. I guess only thing left to do is PVP end game at this point of it's development. Though you do get a free mini Tetris game with it

  4. Good old bit of DPM PLCE. Meant to match the trousers, shirt and smock that I was supposed to get yesterday and still isn't here. Damn you DPD! Features 4x Double STANAG Mag Pouches + 2x Water/Utility pouches on the rear. (Note: I'm moving from MTP to DPM) Edit: I'd like to add that the rest of the DPM has turned up :-)

  5. @Arwen I didn’t need the mounts as they’re built into the gun. I just bought the magpul clone from patrol base.

  7. I am aiming to get rid of the clip on the sling, as I hate the way it rattles against the rail (they are both metal). I was just going to unpick the stitches and sew another qd swivel/clippy thing on, but the new one I bought doesn't fit right... and I've just notice the sling is begin to fray at the other end... so new sling time I think!

  8. Well I'm an armourer and a camo collector, I occasionally skirmish as an aside but the collecting is my 'thing'. £30 worth of ex surplus uniform is mooore than sufficient to play airsoft comfortably in most conditions, been saying that to folks for many years. However I got in to this lark in 2003 and it started as just playing the game, but I found (after a while) that what I personally enjoyed much more than the game was collecting and subsequent photography, writing, reviewing and reading/learning about how different kinds of gear are made; then how they might apply to the military and to all sorts of outdoorsy type hobbies. I think airsoft is a great lark as a game and a social, but I don't buy gear 'for' the game anymore, haven't for a long time. I don't wanna go in to my life or my finances because that'd be weird, but I've got a fair few years service done, lived in the barrack block the whole time in a teeny room eating the mess food. I've been to a couple of places to accrue a few bonuses as well, then just done a lot of saving my whole career, never owned a flash car etc. That's my approach to stuff, and I like it, I'm making roads towards maybe working for a company who makes good kit for the forces one day once I'm out, so I can put what I know in to something that could hopefully benefit folks who really put their necks out in bad places. That's a little way off still, for now I just love collecting what more can I say.
