Just ordered an ACTUAL AEG cut twist barrel from RedWolf for my L85, so I can finally fit it properly without any issues.

A Big out H nub from Fire Support, along with some madbull blue rubbers

And a LPE piston head.

So that's all the parts I need to have the same set up as Finius, all I have to is wait for it to arrive, fit it all and see what difference it makes.

Then I have to grow larger balls before I attempt to do any of the home grown mods of his, which involve shaving parts off the nozzle and tappet plate...

I'm sure you'll all hear about what happens in the angry thread in about a week

Edit:

Also just got an AF-UK patch in OD since I was feeling in a spendy mood. It does come with velcro backing and pad, right?

What's the ARES G36 like? You used one in a game yet?

A new P229 (LWA were selling 'em cheap), which has already been polished.

The Swiss-arms bipod which is currently clamped around my L85-Carbine's barrel. My L85 not a train, therefore it has no need for rails :P

I haven't played with it yet...But I've put about a thousand rounds through it on a range, had a fiddle inside, downgraded the spring etc.

Aesthetically, beautiful. It looks mean and the materials used in its creation are of clear quality.

It also feels nice, even if you're not pulling the trigger, it's got weight and a good texture, as well as balance. If you're firing it, there's a definite lurch in the gun when the bolt moves; it's not quite 9mm, but you feel it and it makes the experience worth having.

Sounds mean too, there's a hefty blowback and the gearbox sounds healthy.

Range is 30-40m out the box with just a 350fps downgrade, hop makes a huge difference; without hop the fps is erratic, with a little hop it'll sit within about 6fps range.

Overall, Finius is a happy camper.

Still on list, hat and NI gloves. Once webbing / gloves are here will look at starting a thread on it.

Also just got ICS black reinforced fibre body kit for the M4, ICS folding stock, magpul trigger guard which adds to front grip and angle foregrip brought earlier. M4 almost usable now, but G3 still better out of the box...

Wife is right, spending way to much time / money on this hobby and I love it :)

Advisable if you are truly made of paper like your username suggests.

That being said, how exactly is being a pirate a secure job choice for someone made of paper? :P
