Hey,

I've recently put a new gearbox into my M4 Aeg (as some parts in the old one ceased to be working). It fits in fine, however the wires to the motor are shorter than with my other gearbox. This is causing some issues connecting the motor and having it fit properly into the motor grip. As such, the motor plate in the end of the motor grip will not fit as it used to and won't allow itself to be screwed in.

Have tried multiple times to make it fit into the motor grip, but it's a no-go.

Is there any other way to mount the motor that removes this problem or any fix that anybody can suggest?

thanks for any help

Obvious answer is that you need longer wires. You will need to either:

a: desolder the original wires and resolder them to your new gearbox

b: solder new wires and connectors to your new gearbox.

Either way you will be doing some soldering, so will need a soldering iron and a bit of solder. Pretty easy to do once you have the kit, or know someone you can borrow it off of.
