Zeroing in Scopes

9 posts in this topic

Probably a stupid question but where do you zero them into?

At the moment it is inline with the front iron sights

You aim at something, and then adjust until when you are viewing the scope you are actually hitting what you are aiming at. For example..

Aim at an object 25m away, your first shot hits under the object so you then adjust your scope downwards to compensate. Aim at the same object from the same distance, if you hit it then you've zero'd the scope into where you're shooting.

@Dev thanks, I'll try that,

@Sherriff I'll have a look now

Also how far back/forward do you have the scope?

At the moment it is as far back as possible, but if I'm playing CQB will I want the scope further forwards?

BUMP, sorry for double posting but I would like to know before I go later on, how far forward/back should the red dot be on the rail?

Does the scope have any magnification?

mount it wherever is most comfortable/looks the best for you.

It can stay in the same place for all playtypes.

the dot/crosshair is independent of any other sights - where the dot/cross is is (when Zero'd) where the BB's go.

PM Dave aka Rock-climby-Dave if you want to know about scopes, he will sort you out a lot better than I can.

Edit: Looks like there isn't any need now :P

Thanks, I went today and just used it for aiming in general directions, it was quite well zeroed in anyway, it was just in line with the front iron sight
