Rype Village is one of the most sought after sites for airsoft in the UK. Due to the cost of using it, it is unlikely that many airsoft days will be taking place there. Don't panic though as GOC’s Airsoft are bringing plastic warfare back to the iconic site on the South Coast at the end of April! It’s been a long time since they have had airsoft on the streets of Lydd but now you’ll get the chance to use the same site that thousands of troops have been trained on. The event will be a battlesim style event with limited ammo utilising a multi mission format, consisting of a mix of time sensitive, ongoing and team specific objectives running non-stop. Book in before the end of March for a discounted rate of only £65. Full rules and regulations are available from our facebook page @gocsairsoft and a discussion group has been set up to keep you informed. Alternatively you can email [email protected] for full details.

The currentl rules and regs are attached but for the latest info keep checking back.

Cheers,

Nat

utterly brilliant place to play. Unfortunately the event is on the same weekend of our forum game else I'd be signing up instantly for it! :-(

As we've had a number of questions about the day here's an overview:

Full details of the missions and objectives will be released nearer the date but here's an overview of what to expect:

There is no complicated back story, just two teams getting down to business. There will be a number of missions and objectives to complete during the day - some will be team specific, some will be ongoing, some will be first to complete and some will have a clock on them which if they aren't completed in time then they will be removed.

There will be items to collect and store and each team will need to set up a store point and defend it as it can be raided by the OpFor. Both sides will have the option to set up an FOB as well, which can be moved at any point by the team. We will have a limited number of artillery strikes (using marshals) the teams can call in to clear an area if they are bogged down but there will be a possibilty of it missing the intended target.

The day will be a Battlesim type format with a limit of 3000rnds per player and using medic rules which will require you to supply your own bandage.

At the mid point of the day there will be a strict 20m cease fire to swap the main regens over but FOB's will remain.

Towards the end of the day you will need to perform a tactical withdrawl, making sure all of your mission objectives have been moved to your main store point.

After the event we will put out a complete After Action Report with the full end of day scores.

There will be regular updates on the facebook discussion group and we will be opening private team groups at the beginning of April for the two teams to discuss tactics etc in advance of game day.

The cost is £65 if fully paid before the end of the March and then it rises to £70. A deposit of £30 is required to secure your place and all payments must be made in full by 8th April. Lunch is not provided and you will need to eat on-the-fly!

There's a PDF pinned to the group and the main GOC's Airsoft page containing rules and regs which will be updated as necessary.

For more information you can email [email protected] or join the discussion group on facebook @gocsairsoft. Alternatively, message us here and we'll get back to you.

Cheers,
GOC's Airsoft

Mornin All,

Over the next week we'll be posting up some updates and pics on the facebook discussion group of some of the props we will be using at the event. Don't forget the discount price of £65 ends next Friday so you have a week to raid the piggy bank and save yourself some beer tokens! B->

Cheers,

GOCs Airsoft
