WE P229 feeding problem

I have a WE sig sauer p229, and for the first few months it worked flawlessly. But as of today the feeding has stopped working. When the slide is cocked it does not go all the way forwards and instead leaves a small gap in the top of the gun leading to the chamber. Upon looking inside, it seems that the BB does not get properly loaded into the barrel, and instead sits between the tip of the magazine and the ramp it needs to slide up to enter the chamber. Does anyone know how i could fix this problem?
