I'm getting all my work done by Fire Support. There fairly knowledgeable on the guns. Plus I bought my gun from them so I'd rather leave it to them to do the work.

I have ready to install

BTC Spectre MOSFET (I managed to source one last min)

Eagle 6 M95 Spring

Ultimate gear set (feel free to recommend something better guys, its Fore Support who are providing them)

Purple Hop Rubber (Prometheus)

Prometheus 6.03 TBB.

I will report back on this post at the end of Jan when it has all been done and I have skirmished it. To let everyone know what difference it has made.

Thanks cheesy,

I'll probably take it to the cage. Can deliver it personally. Don't trust royal fail with Charlene. Made a day of it! :D

Not so much. Back when I had one on a whim, sent it to them to get the LiPo mod and a (supplied) Eagle M100 installed. Came back with a standard AEG spring installed, the Eagle still sitting in the box in its packaging, stripped piston and them refusing to fix their cockup. Up until that point, i'd used the gun for 6 or 7 midcaps on a site range. Was working fine prior to being given to them.

Kingdom of Airsoft. End of.

Or do it yourself.

Any half decent tech at any shop could do it its not rocket science.

Aeg's are pretty simple things and I wish people would stop acting like TM recoils are something that requires a degree from Hogwarts to work on.

Doesnt matter what shop you go to someone will always have a horror story even Kindom of airsoft have probably had some bad reviews.

Any work you get done is covered so any problems after they have to either sort it themselves or foot the bill for someone else to do it.

All retail outfits will have horror stories of some sorts but some are far better than the average. If I'm going to spend my money it will be with the shop that's far better than average. If someone else wants to use a half decent tech then by all means...

Upgrading an AEG, regardless of brand, isn't rocket science I agree but experience plays a big role in the outcome. KOA has tons more experience than I do and I know quite a few people who have used them just as much as I know quite a few people who have used other shops. IMO KOA is the place to go for TM upgrades as they know the brand extremely well, have a very good reputation with TM upgrades and have strong ties with TM part suppliers like Eagle6 which makes the process a lot smoother.

If you are going to modify your BMW sports car would you prefer any half decent race shop or would you prefer one that specialises in BMWs and has a long track record of successfuly modifying BMWs?

See where your coming from but there is a big difference between a BMW and a TM aeg.

A BMW is a complicated piece of German engineering built by a skilled workforce.

It contains many precision working parts that all have to work perfectly together.

A TM aeg is a very basic gearbox and motor fitted into a pot metal or plastic body.

Its built by a generally unskilled workforce (think Japanese Granny) for the lowest possible cost. An aeg is the most basic gear driven piston design possible.

TM is not even the BMW of the airsoft world more the Honda.

Im not saying Kingdom of airsoft are not good but so are many others and unless you have tried everyone then you cant cast a generalisation such as...

Kingdom of airsoft end of.

It was just an example but it can be used with Honda just the same.

Anyone is free to use who they want. I'm sure there are other techs out there that are just as good or better.

For me it's KOA... for now at least. I don't know of anyone else who has a track record with TMs like they do in the UK.

No doubt KOA are good but I had mine done by Aod over on Arnies forum. Fitted specter fet, SHS High torque motor, Tempered pinion gear, fitted SHS gearset, reshimmed, corrected AOE and wired to deans for £41 posted to N.Ireland, and an excellent job he made of it too.

I'd rather not wait four months for my gun back.

Yeah... the only down side. The silver lining though, is you have an excuse to buy another back up while you wait :-).

Jokes aside, he has been making diy help videos to encourage others to do the teching themselves. Help to cut back on his work load. Turn around times can be a bit ridiculous.
