So Patrol Base are out of .25g Bastards so I was looking around and noticed these new G&G BB's. Has anybody tried them? In what? Any good?

My mate was using the 0.28 G&G BBs the other day and they weren't feeding 100% of the time. However I don't know if this was his new gun or the BBs as he'd never used the gun in a game before that. His gun is a G&G SR-25 running at just shy of 450 FPS for reference.

.28s all the way! does icequeen on eBay have them? I actually found her cheaper on postage than patrol base, although I do usually pop in to get mine in store.

[Edit] No, she doesn't. Who is the uk distributor?

Just searched "icequeen" on eBay.co.uk but it says she is based in the US and also shows no items for sale - do I have the wrong person? Can you give us a linky?

My Tar 21 before it got an R hop loved the G&G PSBP ammo. They seemed to just consistently hop where the bastards/ASG didn't. My G&G T4-18 however lost an appreciable amount of accuracy with them, it still prefers ASG ammo over anything else and it misfeeds with Nuprol and yet Nuprol works amazingly well in the S&T Tar 21.

All I have determined from shooting different ammo out of different guns is that they all seem to like different rounds. Some of my magazine brands like one ammo type, some others, some guns are more or less accurate (measured on paper and in the field at range). You really have to try a variety and get a feel for what is good and bad in your gun because I don't think anything I know about accuracy in any one of my individual guns is likely of any use to you and yours unless its setup in the same way.

I kind of agree, Bright Candle, some ammo suits some individual guns better than others and that may well not extend to others of the same model - just chance of manufacturing quirks vs engineering tolerances, but you can also generalise a bit - for eg Blaster Devils are better than plain Blasters, not by much, but noticeably, and Blasters are better than Excel & BB King, not by much, and in different ways, but it is there. IME Madbull & King Arms sniper ammo, Blaster, and Pro Ball are all about the same for range and accuracy, but Madbulls produce more flyers due to internal inconsistencies (I think).

The Nuprol .25's I've used fed OK in a 6.03mm TBB and that was last March so during the time when people were complaining of jams, but their accuracy didn't match Blaster Devils. I've been meaning to try Bastards for ages and since i'm sorta flush right now, i thought i'd go for it, but i thought i'd see what the intelligence is on these PSBP's just in case they're TDB or something before switching weight as well.

I need some gas anyway, so I may order a few just to test. Have you used the PSBP's Dave?

How about these Monkey Ball's that BB's Direct are selling? Any info, people?

just putting in my 2 pence, I've been using a brand called Bad Wolf for about a year now (probably more than a dozen bags), ever since the seemingly lack of blaster devils arriving in the uk, and I haven't had a problem at all, probably rate them slightly higher than blaster devils as well. you can get a bag of 3500 .28s for about £11 shipped from ebay (I tend to buy them in bulk and he knocks a bit off the price).

Re Monkey balls, a guy at my site uses them for his UAR, he hasn't said anything bad about them.

I like to use .28 or .30 but £18 for 2000 bb bastard ones is just silly

Asg have just brought their cursed range of bbs supposed to be the best ones yet. http://airsoftzone.co.uk/consumables/6mm-bbs-pellets/028g-cursed-bbs-1kg-bag-of-3570-asg

I have found good results with devil blasters personally

This is who I use if i'm not near patrol base. £12.75 can't be sniffed at in my book.

I sent Bastards a message via facebook yesterday and got a reply within 20min saying the UK distributor is dragging their heels about ordering more, so he is going to chase them up. I hope the distributor isn't thinking about pulling out of the brand.

I have been toying with the idea of the cursed range.

Had a couple of jams now on the zero one bbs so thinking my luck with them may have run out

This video tested the G&G BBs against a variety of others (not ASG or Bastards unfortunately).

Conclusion was that the G&G were the best BBs they tested.
