  1. THIS ADVERT IS 'UNCOMPLETED' - THIS MEANS THE ADVERTISER HASN'T BUMPED THIS LISTING, BUT IT COULD STILL BE WORTH CONTACTING THEM.

    • For sale
    • As new

For sale, 5x CYMA VSS/AS VAL 150rd mid caps. New and unused, still in the packaging (I bought the wrong ones by mistake, and it's not worth the hassle of returning them). From retailers these are around £13 each, so I'm doing them for £10 each. £50 total. Postage & PP fees are included.

    £50

    - GB

  2. Just in case anyone is considering ordering from Gunfire recently, I gave it a go and here's a breakdown of cost/timings: Gun £416.01 Mags 5x £7.44 = £37.20 Shipping £23.50 Import £108 Total: £584.70 Delivery: 21 days (Four phone calls from UPS of such poor quality that they had me questioning their legitimacy, forms exchanged two times because they sent the wrong ones, and a UPS driver that left a £500 package on my street-side front doorstep despite it requiring a signature). Relative UK retailer (Firesupport in this case) Gun £535 Mags 5x £12.54 £62.70 Delivery £11.99 Total: £609.69 Delivery: Probably 3-4 days, no import nonsense, hopefully not UPS. Is is worth it? Naaaaaaah.
  3. I personally did like mine; it was creaky and lightweight but nothing broke on it for me (just try to refrain from HK slapping it 😆 ). The main reason I got rid of mine was the magazines; all the high-cap ones I had, the hatch at the top wore down quickly and just wouldn't stay closed. Many BBs lost. If you're planning on using midcaps it won't be an issue of course.
  4. People standing in the open at the back firing shots from 80m+. I mean, if you feel safe enough to stand in the open without getting hit, chances are your rounds aren't doing much different on the other end... 😂
  5. On the topic of ordering from TG, has anyone else lost the option to select a delivery on the website? I was willing to gamble an order due to them having something out of stock elsewhere, but when checking out, I select Great Britain, tick a 'terms of delivery box', and then an error saying' Your shopping cart contains the following errors: Choose delivery method' Changing GB to any other country unlocks a check box for delivery type, but this isn't there for GB. Am I missing something, or have they suspended orders?
  6. If you can make the outer shell, sticking an AEP inside it would be the only option I think (other than going gas). They can be picked up for £50-£60 or so: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-pistols-all?*8=9 If it was me, I'd probably buy one KWC mini-uzi, vacuum form the shell using it, and use that to make the outer casing for as many as you need. Fix an AEP in each one, and seal it up. Then paint and finish. It wouldn't be particularly cheap though, and I think you'd struggle to make one from scratch for any cheaper.
  7. Rather than me create a new topic; does anyone have any experience of CYMA vs JG when it comes to their MP5s? I bought a JG MP5K PDW last year (haven't had a chance to field it due to Covid), and now see that CYMA have introduced the PDW to their Blue Edition range. I'm toying with the idea of selling the JG and grabbing the CYMA. Anyone tried both and can comment on externals and performance of the two MP5 ranges?
  8. Unless it's done exceptionally well, I haven't really experienced ghillie suits having a positive impact on players I'm facing. If anything I've noticed they seem to give the wearer a false sense of confidence in their sneaking abilities. Last game day I placed, I had a chap who just kept coming back to the same spot, over and over, in his ghillie suit, as over and over I would immediately shoot him out. I'm not sure if he thought I wouldn't spot him each time, but when most of the terrain is brown due to tree bark and mud, a bit of mishmashed foliage isn't going to stop the movement of a human sized figure from standing out 😆 As for the armband issue; I look for my teams armband on the arm it's supposed to be on. If there's not a red one on their left arm, I'll assume they've got a blue one on their right. It's happened before to me with a guy who hid his armband under a layer of ghillie camouflage, and then lay in a bush facing our team. He was unhappy when I shot him.
  9. I think it's important to consider how mature they are as kids as well. It's not just about if they can take getting shot, it's also about whether they're going to be able to be safe whilst playing. Airsoft guns are toys but they're still more than capable of knocking a tooth our or blinding someone if they're not used responsibly. There was an incident a year or so back of a child who was blinded in one eye when his mate shot him point blank in the face in the safe-zone between games. He didn't realise the gun was loaded, and was only messing around. Since then there have been a lot stricter rules on handling airsoft guns in the safe zones (at least, at any reputable site), but it doesn't change the fact that it was immaturity that led to the incident happening, and it could happen again. Additionally, I've seen on numerous occasions children negatively affecting the flow of gameplay through either not understanding what's going on, or simply not being mature enough to do it properly. I've seen kids of that age cheating by not accepting their hits, and I'd wager that it's because they're new, so are not doing as well as they'd like, but want to keep shooting at people. So they ignore their hits because they think they can get away with it, and they want to be as good as the people they see on Youtube. I also had an incident(s) last game I played, where someone who couldn't have been much older than 9 or 10 was constantly (literally constantly) shooting people of his own team, and no matter how many times he was told, he didn't seem to understand the concept of armbands and checking your target before you shoot. In these situations, they might be having a whale of a time, but they're diminishing the experience of others who have paid to be there (whether they realise it or not). I'm not making any assumptions on the maturity of your kids, nor am I saying that kids shouldn't play. I've only typed that because very occasionally there are instances where I think a kid simply isn't ready for a game like this. And if they are mature enough that the above won't be any issue, then I'd recommend going with Tackle's idea above, and also feel free to ask here for gun recommendations 😁
  10. I've taken to turning Tesco photo-frames into small scenes in 1/72. Not quite up to the same level as those above; I need to focus more on the quality of my painting and weathering effects etc, but it's tricky without an airbrush. Anyway, keeps me busy.
  11. RIFT are Hertfordshire based and have expanded to a number of new sites recently. Might be worth giving them a shout.
  12. Haha, where do I start? AGM Sten - Semi auto only, quite slow rate of fire, and began to shake itself to bits within a few games. Everything became wobbly and loose no matter how much tightening was done. S&T Stirling - Poor accuracy, and within 3 games the semi-auto broke (the only repair apparently being a rare part that isn't often available) JG MAC10 - The BBs practically rolled out of the barrel; probably the biggest AEP out there, I can't help but feel it could have had a full size gearbox if someone tried hard enough to make the design work. JG Vz61 - The hop-up was constantly full on, arcing up no-matter the setting. And the hop-chamber is jammed onto the inner-barrel, so haven't figured out a way to fix that yet... (also same internals as the above I think, but didn't seem to have the low range issue) Are we counting second hand? G&G RK47 - My first ever gun. Owner had snipped the spring, making it first about 230 FPS (Not the 350 advertised). And had threaded two of the screws putting the gearbox back together. Oh, and it stopped firing altogether after the second game. I think the gearbox imploded. I do not have a good record. And yet I continue. 😆
  13. I purchased some Bolle X800s after reading this thread, and can confirm they do work really well. I had some condensation issues first off because I was wearing a coat and was dripping with sweat, but after a wipe, they remained completely mist free the whole day.
  14. Waking up early. I wish games started and finished couple of hours later. As runners up; long briefings. Long lunch breaks (who really needs an hour to wolf down a hot dog and reload their mags?). Unfair teams that don't get balanced throughout the day (I don't mind losing but...when you team is practically playing out of your respawn the whole day, it's a little naff). Aside from that, my inability to maintain equipment 😆
