      They certainly don't feel wet out the packet, but there should be.. I don't know how to describe it, but a very slight oiliness?

       

      I've used probably 30 packs over the last 8 years or so and yeah, I don't remember thinking they were particularly wet. 

       

      Work great though, recommend them whole heartedly - buy them on eBay. There's a guy who shifts them very cheap on there

    Well I really can't work women out.

    Mrs Shamal is on a ten day cruise of the med.

    So I hatched a plot to send her a video of her two most loved furry friends. Nonky the tiger and cheeser the mouse. She is so protective about them that it's unreal.

    With the help of @EDcasea video was produced that showed them both hanging from my drone at the local cricket club although they have never left the house.( Excellent production from Ed.) 

    I sent her the video today thinking that she would go ballistic( imagine a five foot stick of tnt in the heat of a Turkish bazaar)

    Her reaction? "Ahh Sweet"🤔

    Unbelievable!

    I asked her how many cocktails she had had. No reply.

    I may be on some sort of hit list for when she returns.

    If you don't hear from me then you know the reason why!😂

    Can anyone spot short / stubby / Vietnam style M4 mid cap mags in stock anywhere at the moment?  E.g. the Battleaxe 110rnd metal or plastic ones. They seem to be out of stock most places

     

    Fat Bobs have high caps at £13 plus £6 postage which would be the fallback option, but I'd prefer mid caps.

     

    Bespoke has 20 round real caps which are a milsim too far.

     

    I've currently looked on:

    Patrol Base (the best selection and prices if they had any, which they don't)
    Airsoft World
    Land Warrior
    Arnies
    Bespoke
    Fat Bobs
    Bullseye
    Ammo Drop
    Zero One
    Targets Zone
    UK Airsoft
    And even the BBGunz4U shower.

      They look great, and still hold 150-170 rounds.

      Only place I can find them in stock at the moment is France though.

    Guys avoid Specna Arms BB's.. Bought bottles of 0.3 for the lads to try and caused us all grief.. Won't feed on midcaps (MTW/krytacs/ICS & G&G)  Will feed on highcaps & drums, but so much flaking and particles..BB's are utter shit!!  We all switched to our standards (Valkrie/Nuprol/ASG etc..) and no issues at all.  Specna utter wank...

      Yeah, they're made by different factories. Core BBs should only be used for claymores or moscarts. Terrible BB.

       

      The Edge BBs made by BLS (who make Geoff's) are superb.

      Happy to send you a free bag of .28s if you'd like to try them :)

      The core BBs are absolutely terrible.

      But the Edge BBs are made by BLS so should be spot on.

      Agree with you there trigger.

      My boys are old enough now that we can share hobbies, and they're getting into my old stomping ground of ice hockey, so I'm weighing up selling the airsoft gear to fund more ice time and equipment. 

       

      Seems a no brainer at the moment.

    Half looking at getting a MK18.  Not a great fan of the big CM logo on the G&G, does this come off? £500 TM NGRS is a little rich for me atm.

      Yeah, the Edge range has the orion gearbox. If you get an Edge, try and get the newer Edge 2.0.

      It has a Gate licenced flat trigger that is optimised for the Aster mosfet, and the new Flat hop up rubber.

       

      Apparently Specna have sorted the issue with the weak gearboxes, but I'll be able to tell you first hand if that is the case after my E05 Edge 2.0 arrives soon.

       

      The CORE C19 is still DD Licenced, but has the plastic body instead of metal. 

      The rail is still metal however.

      The Specna Arms E19 (Metal body, Edge version) and C19 (Plastic body, CORE version) are both licensed by Daniel Defence, so they are very close to an MK18 you can get without spending Marui Money. So has the proper logo on the receiver and rails, correct bronze colour etc.

    Buy Cheap, Buy twice? This is the CYMA Platinum edition M4 I had delivered yesterday. Not entirely impressed with the externals (a few different areas quite wobnly/flappy). The worst offender is the suppressor moves around off centre to the barrel very easily and the inner barrel is even chipped on the front. Saying that the double Eagle seems to be far better put together and was half the price!
