  1. That's actually a good idea. Will keep some of those for future references / garden plinking My Tuxy has claimed the G36 for himself, and over the course of time various others too (and just in case: no battery in the G36, no BBs in barrel nor mag) In terms of everyday items, at least as a motorbiker, I have various "necktubes" flying around and found they come in quite handy wearing them gamedays too especially on days when it gets colder
  2. Glasses like those linked by Groot are perfectly fine for gaming, probably the majority of players wears that type (various different brands).
  3. Yeah, I have the same issue, ended up running the ESS turbofan goggles to help with that, and fortunately it does help a lot. Another thing I read recently somewhere else as recommendation and since then tried out is before I drive to games I just slap some deo onto my forehead Tinted goggles do look cool, but they will also in various situations make things a bit more difficult to see.
  4. I believe that was Skirmish Airsoft Billericay, a site that I don't mention out of principle to begin with
  5. That was you? Nice I was the tall bearded person in black with Rainbow patches on both arms on the red team ( this patch ). Though I believe when we split groups you were in the group on the other floor.
  6. Had another fun night last night, so it quite sucks that it all ends soon. Even more so that the handover date is the 22nd November and the last game therefore on the 21st. That's my other half's birthday, if I ask her to go game instead, I may be a head shorter 😮 Don't suppose can persuade DWP to delay a week, or?
  7. Ohay and welcome. Since you're already in Billericay, it'll make things easier for you, as there are two good sites there. Someone further above mentioned "Tower Minis", which is a fortnightly Tuesday evening game at "The Tower". This site is run by the folks from "Airsoft Plantation", which is another site pretty much just around the corner. AP runs Sundays, while TT runs Saturdays and the aforementioned Minis every two weeks Tuesdays, so plenty of chances to get out and about locally to you
  8. Hey @Hussaroperator, welcome here Since you're in N-London, do you have a car to travel around? There are some good sites around the area here, e.g. Airsoft Plantation (aka AP) + The Tower (run by AP), both in Billericay, Echelon Airsoft in Gravesend (till 22nd November), Red 1 Chislehurst in, well, Chislehurst, Incursion Airsoft (formerly known as EAG) in Epsom and Dorking, and a bunch of others probably too.
  9. My main intended use is connected to PC and play PC VR games e.g. Elite Dangerous. Which is why pondering about battery length, would be miffed if in midst of dog fighting the battery goes byebye :D
  10. Interesting. Are extended batteries available for it? Would be quite miffed if in the midst of the game that thing just dies off 😐
  11. Planning to get a Quest 2 coming up with either Black Friday / Cyber Monday if on a good sale or around xmas time. Using it cabled to the computer, does it power the headset as well or will it still be limited by the battery time itself?
  12. "nearby", I like the sound of that. I come from opposite the river, so if the new site will have week day games as well, I could manage those if it's not too far to travel (work and stuff). Been there first time yesterday, just booked for next Wednesday Do wonder though what the DWP wants with that place...
  13. Same, UCAP Sandpit was just something completely different, think the total area was around 500 acres, which gave good opportunities to change the games around to different terrains etc Doomsday was run by a couple of friends and TL of our team. Not sure either of them are here, will let them know
  14. Good write up indeed! That day was my first time at Longmoor, been there with a couple friends and met some others they play with at times too, I was in Bravo 1 Barbarian side, so had pretty much same/similar objectives Thoroughly enjoyed it and will try to get there more often (usually my weekends are occupied these days).
  15. Yes! Finally! Been following for like forever, waiting for a CQB place to be available here in this area. Looking forward to seeing the site!
  16. If you're doing it by hand, it's a pain to do. Best is to get the free open source software Chirp ( http://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home ), and an appropriate baofeng programming cable (like this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BAOFENG-UV-5R-BF-888S-Radio-USB-Programming-Cable-FREE-Program-Software-CD-/221798554834?hash=item33a4395cd2:g:PJwAAOSwFMZWrwUV ) Ignore the CD it comes with. Also read the chirp site about programming (especially Baofengs and cheap cables with Windows OS). What I've bought today, as indicated in my previous post
  17. Went to local shop last weekend, came home with this MP5. Wanted this specific MP5 for a while now, so had to grab it as it came in. Probably will come home with an AG36 attached to my G36 this Saturday
