  1. Thought I'd give an update. Following my good experience which began this post, I decided to order from them again a couple of weeks ago. I purchased the item which said it was in stock, but got an email a week and a half later saying the item was in fact out of stock... This seems to happen probably half the time I've ordered from any retailer located somewhere in Asia. I've requested a refund so I'll update this post once they respond.
  2. It's probably a better idea to go with the railed version as opposed to the carry handle/optic version. After trying a variety of G36 carry handle/optic units, it's safe to say that the optic isn't the greatest and you'd be much better off getting a rail mounted optic such as an EOTech 551 replica. If you decide to go with the g36 carry handle and the optic gets shot out then you'd have to buy a whole new carry handle. Best of luck!
  3. Just to add, I received a receiver set (upper and lower) 2 days ago from Asia and it didn't even get stopped in customs. They didn't ask for a defence.
  4. I've finally put my GHK M4 back together after receiving the newly released RATech 7075 Aluminium AAC 300 BLK Forged receiver! Just need a new trigger guard, dust cover and forward assist to complete it. The M4 is quite light weight, compact and very ergonomic (for me). GHK AK74MN next to it for size comparison.
  5. If you're looking at an AEG, definitely go for a Krytac as aforementioned. They've got a wide selection! If you're looking at a GBBR (especially an M4), GHK is what you'll be looking for. The gas efficiency (I'd advise GHK G5 magazines) and realism are the best out there. These legitimately do not need upgrading at all, but if you fancy putting money into it anyway (externally or internally) then RATech offer some amazing parts such as 7075 forged aluminium receivers (just released), steel bolt carriers, etc... GHK internals are already steel though, but RATech uses a harder steel. Not necessary, but really nice to have and adds to the kick. The TM MWS is also a great M4 but I drastically prefer the GHK. As for a GBB sidearm, TM seem to still be leading the way there. I'd advise a TM G17. If you don't like the polymer slide, various companies offer aluminium slides. I believe Guarder do a 7075 aluminium trademarked slide. This will reduce gas efficiency though. IMO, AEPs are a waste of time. Aside from that, welcome back and I hope you find what you're looking for!
  6. It arrived! The newly released 7075 aluminium AAC forged receiver for my GHK M4! Absolutely stunning. Time to put my M4 back together.

  11. GHK M4 with GHK G5 38rnd magazines. Best gas efficiency out there, you can go through about 110 shots on one gas charge (various tests on YouTube of this too)! As well as being steel (VERY IMPORTANT), the internals mimic a real M4 (aside from the bits needed to fire BBs instead of bullets, of course) as do the externals and features (I.e not being able to put the gun in safe if the hammer hasn't been cocked back). The recoil is the best I've felt by a long shot! GHK M4 MOD 1 or GHK M4 MOD 2 is definitely the way to go. TM MWS doesn't live up to it from my experience and TM recoils, PTWs, Systemas etc just don't interest me whatsoever. I'm biased to GBBRs so do take that into consideration (I find AEGs incredibly dull). Realism is also a major influence to me which is where it definitely wins over something like the MWS. If you're not big on gas and real cap mags (30 - 38) then definitely get something like a TM recoil. The recoil won't be as good as a GBBR but you get the benefit of it being an AEG I suppose and not having to reload for a couple years! The TM SCAR recoil shock would be a great choice. After all that, this is entirely my own opinion. Sure you can go get a Krytac or similar but if I'm going to spend a bunch of money then I'm going to want something that I'm personally going to find very fun as well as incredibly reliable.
  12. So it turns out that the store I ordered my RATECH GHK M4 forged AAC receiver from didn't actually have it in stock. But they're going to stock the new, more expensive version in 2 weeks and send it to me at no extra cost Saves me $40! I suppose I won't see it until next month though.
