  2. I am grateful to all the people who contributed with helpful answers. Thanks to their advice, I decided to approach one of the retailers and explain my situation to them via email. Fortunately, the Airsoft retailer responded positively, allowing me to send the required photos ( My airsoft pictures ) This is excellent news for me as I can now avoid purchasing a second-hand or two-tone airsoft gun. I am delighted to have received such a warm and friendly response from everyone on this platform. I hope to find the same camaraderie and guidance on the airsoft field as well. live in Henley-on-Thames and have recently moved here. I have two options to choose from Highwycome and Reading. I plan to give both a try and hopefully find my ideal team in the UK for a long-term. @RorySending RIFs to Europe via airplanes is a viable option. However, it can be challenging to send them to the UK for non-citizens. I have attempted to send them myself, but I encountered several diplomatic demands via email that made it difficult to proceed. Perhaps there are alternative ways but we dont know yet.

So, I haven't shared this yet despite having it sat around for a few months. For context this was a boneyard A&K Masada/ACR. When I got it, the exterior of the rifle was scuffed, chipped and dented beyond belief and the previous owner had even super glued rails to the handguard. Instead of fixing the ambi fire selector properly, they had also super glued the fire selector on which I've since fixed. Since it was already destroyed externally I decided to go the absolute opposite way of what I normally go for, so I went with the brightest colours I could think of. Is it cursed? I think I actually prefer it to the standard look of most of my RIFs.

  6. Excuse the picture angles. my attempt at an impression based on 2nd Infantry Division 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team Iraq 2003-2004. All genuine kit besides the PRC-148 radio as the genuine ones are encrypted and restricted. The M4 is still a work in progress as I’d like to add some more genuine parts to it. I’ll then post that on the gun pic thread. The base uniform is the CCU Close Combat Uniform in 3 colour desert. These were trialed between 2003-04 by the 2nd ID and 25th ID SBCT in Iraq along with some 173rd AB.

  9. A Russian wife turned to her husband and asked, "What's this special military operation our glorious leader keeps talking about?" Her husband replied, "It's a war to stop America and NATO." "Oh, right” she says “How's it going?" “Well” he replied “so far we have lost over 20 generals, over 315,000 troops killed or wounded, 3000 tanks, 300 aircraft, hundreds of helicopters, countless armoured vehicles, artillery and trucks, our flagship along with other naval ships, our army is being defeated in most areas and we have had to resort to conscripting 500,000 Russians including murders and rapists to replace our losses”. “Wow” replied the wife “what about America and NATO”? “They haven’t turned up yet”

  10. So a while ago I started to build a hk21e machinegun based on a jg g3 but the gun was a bit screwed and I made a bit of a hash of upgrading it so That rather killed my motivation for working on that. I recently sold off that gun as part of my process of swapping entirely to gbbrs. Having watched a few explosive enterprises vids I decided to give this another go. This time the base gun is a we gbb g3. It came to me with the barrel shortened and Ive just picked up a proper hk21e style clubfoot stock for it. Im planning to model and print most of the bits for it in plastic and then send them off to be done in aluminium when im finished. This is just the first step. 1 new sight block that just sits on the cocking tube and dosent go down to the barrel. 2 front handguard cap with a block hidden under it which bolts to the handguard pinhole to keep everything rigid 3 a sleeve to go over the barrel to give it the proper machinegun profile. I have sanded and painted this bit since the proper barrel is tapered and making one of these in metal would be a pain. will probably leave it plastic. It just screws onto the outer barrel nut and gets pinned in place by the flash hider. next up is to make the rear handguard cap and order some steel or aluminium tube to make the actual handguard. Ill be building a pinhole into the rear handguard cap where the belt feed mechanism attaches. This would normally be on the reciever instead of the magwell but Im trying to make this in a way which requires as little modification to the base gun as possible. Once the belt feed assembly is made ill be making a box mag to slot onto it, fitting the guts of a 249 box in there, hpa tapping the original mag and drilling a hole in the front for bbs to feed in from a spring tube. Im not really a fan of hpa but for a gbb lmg like this its simply the best option.

  12. So.. I splashed a little more cash over the past few weeks. Firstly from Octagon airsoft, I bought a stock and some wooden handgrip for my Beretta M93r. Stock fits perfectly, though the right hand grip will need some work with a dremel to get it to fit and not interfere with the mechanism for the burst function of the pistol. Next I bought a low profile pistol red dot sight from my local air rifle range to fit less intrusive on the optic mount for the M93r (see pic attached for stock, optic mount, red dot and left side wooden hand grip fitted) Finally I bought two Tokyo marui limited edition Chisato handguns and some mags from airsoft direct (by far the cheapest I have seen them on sale in the UK) one will be purely for display to keep it pristine, while the other will get some limited use, mainly in CQB as backup to my Krytac Vector (when the back-ordered mags Finally arrive and if I can find a holster for it that won't damage the finish), to prolong its life Also looking at a tactical vest on ebay to complete a Stargate SG1 loadout. Trying to find an accurate, black blackhawk omega is impossible, so this vest would be more of a Stargate-inspired vest than a stitch-counter accurate version. Pics will be shared if I do decide to pull the trigger on the vest.. Oh, and also the usual boring consumables restock.. gas, BBs, CO2 bulbs.. and a can of Nuprol 1.0 for the new TM pistol..

  13. I've only ever bought from DCA once as it was a small part I couldn't find anywhere else and it all went smoothly. However I agree some of his prices are an absolute joke. What really puts me off buying from him though is the way he acts like a spoiled child on social media

    Hi everyone

Hi bud. Nice to meet you as well. I bet I know what gun you want to get 😂 Check out 'playairsoft.co.uk' that will tell you about any sites near you. Be prepared to have your wallet hoovered clean lol. Find a site near you, make a booking as a rental player(I'm assuming you don't have any kit yet) and go along. You will need some sensible oldish clothes but make sure you are well covered. Good sturdy boots with ankle support are a must as is good quality eye protection with ballistic rating of En166,En172. No eye pro no play. As a rental you will get a gun, battery and ammo.there will probably be full face masks if you want. It would be a good idea to use them to start with. You will still need your eye pro though. Talk to people there, you will find them ready and willing to help you out with any questions.(I wouldn't though cause I'm an anti social git!) If you enjoy it and want to carry on then that's good but be prepared to spend 😂 Good luck👍 Regards

Hi, Have a look here for local sites - playairsoft.co.uk First couple of times you play you dont need to buy anything. You can rent it all from the site. Once the bug has bitten you though, a good set of eye protection and a decent set of boots should high on your purchase list.

  21. Lol An elderly man rear-ended a guy driving an expensive European sports car. Enraged, the guy hops out and confronts the old man. He yells, "Look what you did to my car! You're going to give me $10,000 right now or I'm going to beat you to a pulp!" "Oh my…" the old man said nervously. "I don't have that kind of money. Let me call my son.” he said with hope. “He trains dolphins and he will know what to do." "Dolphins!" the other driver huffed, while rolling his eyes. The old man pulled out his phone, dialed his son, and just as his son answered, the irate man snatched the phone away from the old man. "So, YOU'RE a dolphin trainer, huh?” The irate man yelled, “Well, your old man here just rear-ended my car and I need TEN GRAND right now, or I'm going to beat you AND your old man to a pulp!" "I'll be there in 10 minutes." says the voice calmly on the other end. Exactly 10 minutes later, a Jeep pulls up and a guy hops out and proceeds to pulverize the bully, leaving him in a heap on the side of the road. When he finished, he walked over to his father and said, "For the last time dad, I train Seals… Navy Seals. NOT dolphins!”

  24. Sorry for the double post, but the timing worked out this way. I know it isn't period accurate for all you stitch counters, but new harness arrived for my Vietnam belt kit and it was £12 well spent. The period accurate one is simply not made for 6'5 individuals. Even at the max setting it was just too short and held the belt up too high. This new one is longer and actually fits me comfortably, keeping the belt where it should be. Also I added a knife sheath because knife kills are always amusing. Fits everything I need for a good time hunting GIs with their own kit

My Winchester 1873 is complete, for now... the question is what sidearm should I pair with it? I'm leaning towards a Tanaka SAA or Python... pic of the matching loadout / attire at the last western filmsim! A more modern offering now.... my weathered full steel AKMS. Hoping to go down a Tarkov scav or Cold war Poland route in terms of kit. The let down on this otherwise realistic piece is the grip... anyone know a spot to buy a bakelite or wood grip for AEG AKs?

New 'inexpensive' DMR build. Base gun is a polymer GE 417, for weight and low price. Out of the box it was pretty horrid , but tbf for what it cost I wasn't expecting much. Gearbox is a long V2 with a mosfet and some sort of electronic full auto set up, no COL and a micro switch whitch enables full auto. I'm not realy a fan of mosfets as I see it as adding unnecisary electronic crap, ( and I'm normally running GBBR) but I'll concede that the lack of COL is handy in a semi locked pew. I've replaced the piston head and added a slightly longer double o ring nozzle, compression is now awesome. Switched to a ZCI rotary hop and inner barrel, along with a M/L rubber and Omega nub. Also a high torque motor. Now running at 1.78j on my home chrono on .36BBs. Quick blow over with Halfords paint to make it look a bit less plastic and added a few spare decals I had. It'll get a run out next game to shake it down, but happy with that.

  28. I second this, and use both of them. First game we ever played the lad got three ticks. I once had 14! The one on the back of my bollox was not funny. Forget the embarrassment and get someone to check you over. Use your phone camera if on your own. FFS delete the vid straight away....

  29. We did the same in Afg with knee pads - just a convenient way to store it, when not wanting it in place on the joint. Heat, sweat, sand and tight elastic straps makes them mega uncomfortable if worn on the knee all the time.

  30. It's still live, but the piss taking speedwanker (or "Seller" as commonly known) has closed the advert to further questions and removed any that have been asked so far. On another note, I wouldn't care if it lobbed 1000bbs a second, was made of solid platinum and came with a cheque for £500, no hi capa, especially not one that looks like it's been polished up with a headless smurf carcase is worth that!

  31. No hi-capa is worth £700, no matter how much the seller has been silly enough to throw at it, especially as the original straight out of the box TM variants are superb on almost every level, anything added is usually just prettying them up, bit like a girl with her favourite dolly 😜

  34. Random room inspections can and do happen. I have been in the slightly awkward position of having to run a disciplinary case against a student whose RIF was found in his wardrobe. I am my faculty's Prevent officer, so I have to check up on students who have been accessing websites and content on university WiFi or via university PCs that could indicate that they are at risk of radicalisation or are potentially a risk. Recently, a Chinese Year 3 direct entry student was flagged for accessing a number of airsoft sites. I called him in, as I am required to, and asked him in particular about an airsoft site whose website he had repeatedly accessed. He explained that he and his friends were looking for sites to play at; I asked him if he had played at that site and he said he had. I asked him when and, when he told me, asked him which team he had been on. When he told me, I mentioned that we might well have shot each other. We then spent a great hour talking about airsoft. The moral of that is that you should not look up airsoft related content using university PCs or WiFi, including Eduroam.

  36. I've bought some parts from here with no issues... https://www.kyairsoft.com/ . I've not fielded mine yet due to a previous owner fecking up an npas installation but it was easily fixed with the parts I got from kyairsoft. I'm a Scar fanboi & this is probably one of my favourite pews, kinda waiting for decent weather to use it in game but recently ordered some red gas but I suspect it might be a bit hot for my local site (hense the npas), I got 5 or 6 mags with it & 2 of them have lost the base plate so make sure your's are solid on the mag. The mags are hefty so use sharpshooter sized mag pouches if you wear molle. fyi... I found it easy to strip down for maintenance but make sure ALL the screws are tight as I found a couple of my body screws loose & one was missing (assuming they loosened due to the GBB). I'm sure I've seen a couple in the classifieds with missing or broken fore sights so check it over & tighten/adjust them as you see fit.

Welcome. The best way to get started is to book a game at a local site. Check out https://playairsoft.uk/ to find sites in your area. As for what to buy I recommend renting for your first 3 games as the site will provide you with a gun and face protection so all you'll need to have is decent footwear (many outdoor sites insist you wear boots not trainers as they provide less grip the risk of twisting your ankle is far higher). There are laws governing the sale of airsoft guns so without a site membership you'll be stuck with having to buy a brightly coloured 2 tone gun (assuming you're 18 or over). Renting also means you'll be able to get a better idea of what suits you
