Now that I got a front strap from Japan and a metal suppressor from a chap on here, the mac11 is complete! Such a nasty little sniper secondary.

  7. My son wanted to play this thing ‘Airsoft’ that I never heard of before. He told me that I have to play 3 times and then gift him a RIF. At first I was against it but he convinced me to try it out. I’ve enjoyed it and we’ve been going every month since. My relationship with my son has improved dramatically. Before we didn’t have much in common and now we talk Airsoft, equipment all the time (much to my wife’s annoyance 😉 So I would try to approach your dad from that angle. As Dan already said there are lots of Dad&Son combos on the field. I thought I would be far too old for this but I’ve seen lots of grey middle aged (and older) men out there.

After proceeding through the graveyard that's underneath the medieval fort, the attackers' spawn will then move along to the missile launcher trench complex. Once they've taken the CQB windmill they can then plant their bombs in the Vietnam ambush valley, but watch out for reinforcements from death ridge! Oh and naturally when crossing the Bridge by the fuel depot you can snipe down from the bus as long as the fence line that borders the farmer's field is free of cows and sheep today. Never forgetting the SUPER VISIBLE fishing line boundary marking that runs from grid square echo charlie and through the woods over to firebase Potato". ... Personally I can barely remember the last time I played the same site twice on the bounce. I'm also pretty sure that almost every single game ever played on a commercial site has always had at least a portion of first timers and/or pretty new players. I don't know, maybe my navigation and layout memorisation abilities are rubbish, but I wish game briefs didn't always sound like this.

  14. I am grateful to all the people who contributed with helpful answers. Thanks to their advice, I decided to approach one of the retailers and explain my situation to them via email. Fortunately, the Airsoft retailer responded positively, allowing me to send the required photos ( My airsoft pictures ) This is excellent news for me as I can now avoid purchasing a second-hand or two-tone airsoft gun. I am delighted to have received such a warm and friendly response from everyone on this platform. I hope to find the same camaraderie and guidance on the airsoft field as well. live in Henley-on-Thames and have recently moved here. I have two options to choose from Highwycome and Reading. I plan to give both a try and hopefully find my ideal team in the UK for a long-term. @RorySending RIFs to Europe via airplanes is a viable option. However, it can be challenging to send them to the UK for non-citizens. I have attempted to send them myself, but I encountered several diplomatic demands via email that made it difficult to proceed. Perhaps there are alternative ways but we dont know yet.

So, I haven't shared this yet despite having it sat around for a few months. For context this was a boneyard A&K Masada/ACR. When I got it, the exterior of the rifle was scuffed, chipped and dented beyond belief and the previous owner had even super glued rails to the handguard. Instead of fixing the ambi fire selector properly, they had also super glued the fire selector on which I've since fixed. Since it was already destroyed externally I decided to go the absolute opposite way of what I normally go for, so I went with the brightest colours I could think of. Is it cursed? I think I actually prefer it to the standard look of most of my RIFs.

  17. I've crafted my own "ghillie". I put it in inverted commas because it's not a full suit with the trousers and all that malarkey, it's just a viper mesh jacket that covers head, shoulders and down my back. I made a rifle wrap to match and realistically that's all I really need to cover up if I pick my spot to hide properly. I only wear it when I've got my BASR in my mitts. I take it off to run anything else because, well, its just not sporting. As others have said, rentals won't get what us happening to them or appreciate the skill that a good sniper has employed to brass them up without being seen.....then again, the majority of ghillie wearers I have met on a casual skirmish day are utterly clueless about actual stealth and think they are fucking Batfink, "your plastic balls cannot harm me, my leaves are like a shield of steel!" kind of thing. I think ghillie is for BASR only, just my twopenneth. Thinking about an alternative that let's anyone use a ghillie. A ghillie wearer, not using a BASR is required to shout "Nee" once every 30 seconds.....and if there are two of them working as a team, one has to be slightly higher than the other to create a nice little two level effect to the shrubbery.

Okay, so controversial topic. I'm assuming this persons disability is something like ASC (not allowed refer to it as a spectrum now, which in itself is silly as there's a clear difference between functioning and non functioning imho) Anywho, the biggest disservice believe it or not for those with ASC that you can do, is to treat them any different than regular folk. (Applies to what we would call functioning ones) So, this person had to be shown that what they did was wrong and banning them because of their actions puts people at risk is fair and reasonable. It's not discrimination to do. In terms of other disabilities - well, last year at driver wood there was a guy in a wheel chair (running) an LMG and other than the poor bastard getting overshot because he cant both keep hand in the air and wheel himself back to spawn. Airsofters will generally accept every one due to one simple reason. Don't matter what you look like, what you believe in, or what's wrong with you.....we will happily shoot you without hesitation.

If there's a tangible danger to others then someone's disability or neuro divergency / whatever is irrelevant. I'm in a mixed race marriage, I'm somewhere on "the" spectrum, I have three nephews anchoring said spectrum to the ground, my teenager is mixed raced (and currently hating it) and I think our gay friend contingent is just about offset by my devout muslim workforce..... So I like to think my worldview is pretty balanced. That being said.... We spend too much time in this world worrying about those differences, when really we should all be treated with the same consideration and respect as we wish to have. Therefore, if you're one of those that should be seen next Tuesday, then you should be treated thusly. I remember coming of age in the 90's and caring more about people being nice to one another than worrying about their situation. Airsoft sites need to worry about people's eyeballs more than they do the ability to walk, think, self identify... I think that is probably how society should look at things too.

Unfortunately it's all too easy these days for a wrongdoer to scream "foul", & Unfortunately I've known a few disabled people, some since childhood, that will play on this, in much the same way that some use the race card to their advantage, which again I've witnessed firsthand, in one job in particular. @OrlithNightfire , if you personally witnessed his poor behaviour, theres not much more to discuss, he went against site rules & got banned, end of.

  27. Had a very long but enjoyable day at Special Ops' new CQB site. Day started off a bit pooh though with me arriving without my battery bag. So had to rag it home in the car to get back in time for the briefing. I lost track of the number of games we played, but numbers started off with around 20 players. This dropped off significantly at lunch time; then again at 4pm there was only 9, then at 5 ish there were only 4 of us. Game of the day fro me was the VIP games where teams took it in turns to get the drunk VIP from the pub to the car at the opposite end of the building. Lots of close calls and last minute reprieves for both sides to be had. Then we had various rolling retreats, TDMs and "Get to the Choppa" games. Once the numbers were down to single figures we had the pyramid game where each player on a team was given a number; which resulted in said numbers being the rotation of the players in the game. At the start player 1s would be 1v1, then when that player died, they'd get player two for their side and so on. 5th kill was the end. This was a great game as the sides were very evenly balanced with a speedy boi softer on each side, a youngling/first timer, an experienced slower player and someone in the middle. The twist was that the game was played 4 times and they rotated the numbers around so every player got a chance to be 1v1. When it was just the 4 of us left; I was the more experienced, and physically much bigger player. There was a 14 year kid who was tiny, but turned out to be a deadly shot with his Glock which he was using for most of the day. There was an American teenager on his first time and an older teenager who is a regular at the outdoor site. This American dude got a tooth shot out in the morning in a freak incident with his full face mask, but he got back in the game and seemed to enjoy himself. We had a blast of "winner stays on", 2v2, and a fun game where I was a guard patrolling the centre of the game area on a fixed path whilst the remaining younglings had to sneaky sneaky around to get to the bank to retrieve the gold. Little buggers were lucky that when they made a dash for it, one of the marshalls was in the way LOL. Get to the Choppa was an unmitigated disaster for our team as the opposition had Thomas - the notorious Special Ops runner - and twice in a row they won the game in less than a minute with barely a shot fired. In my defence, I nearly got them on their approach, but my pistol mag had decided (unbeknownst to me) vent itself and pulling the trigger resulted in sweet feck all. Due to my size I tended to stick out past walls and couldn't always duck low enough for cover. As a result, I was domed more times than I can remember. I also managed to get a BB up my nose. Which I didn't notice until talking to a player at respawn and it rolled out mid sentence, much to his humour and my surprise. Comedy moment of the day also fell to me as I snuck up behind someone in the Bank and stood there with my pistol pointed at him for a good 20 seconds deciding where to shoot him - which in the end was the back of his helmet. The overseeing marshall and I exchanged a knowing glance. 😎 Its a great venue. I think 30 players is the practical limit before overcrowding and bottlenecking becomes an issue. Ironically as the numbers dwindled the day got more fun. Not because of the players, but Carlos and the marshals adapted the games to match the players. I have never run pistols as much as I had today. The Specna is still having troubles, so I needed up with my Double Eagle as rifle of choice, one of my WE glocks isn't cycling properly; but fortunately I had a spare (of course) and the Boy's TM Glock also served me very well. I managed to get all my mags leak free so was well stocked with 6. Also the Double Eagle was throwing out .2s bang on 349FPS, and won me a few lovely kills, one of which was the 14 year old whose eye level was the same as the partially opened window of the delivery van - I got him from the far end of the building under the tail of the Choppa. The day was certainly better than I expected - as a Woodland player mainly - and getting game play from 10am to 6pm (including a lunch break) was great. Now i am resisting the urge to buy a better pistol and a tracer unit. My face and legs however look like a dot to dot picture, and the guy behind the counter of my local shop wondered what had happened. Hopefully they will go down before the big family Easter Dinner tomorrow LOL.

  28. As a father to a teenager I second that - the boy and I have our own distinct loadouts. Looking forward to him coming home in June so I can shoot the crap out of him again: We have (I like to think) a pretty solid relationship as a result of spending Airsoft days together. I certainly know him better than he thinks I do. The boy also has some school friends who's mum was into Airsoft - her and her partner's loadout's were pretty awesome. We had some fun gameday's as a group. However, your dad may have genuine reasons for being apprehensive - I was at first TBH. It's not just the financial cost of owning a gun. My brother and his missus are completely against guns of any kind for example so my nephew would have had no chance if he wanted Airsoft as a hobby. It's part of what sucks to be a kid. You have to respect the boundaries your parents put in place. Of course I am giving the OP the benefit of the doubt that this isn't a wind up thread.

All genuine kit besides the PRC-148 radio as the genuine ones are encrypted and restricted. The M4 is still a work in progress as I’d like to add some more genuine parts to it. I’ll then post that on the gun pic thread. The base uniform is the CCU Close Combat Uniform in 3 colour desert. These were trialed between 2003-04 by the 2nd ID and 25th ID SBCT in Iraq along with some 173rd AB.

A teacher trying to teach good manners, asked her students the following question: 'Michael, if you were on a date having dinner with a nice young lady, how would you tell her that you have to go to the bathroom? 'Michael said: 'Just a minute I have to go pee.' The teacher responded by saying: 'That would be rude and impolite. What about you Sherman, how would you say it?' Sherman said: 'I am sorry, but I really need to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back.' 'That's better, but it's still not very nice to say the word bathroom at the dinner table. And you, little Johnny, can you use your brain for once and show us your good manners?' Johnny said 'I would say: Darling, may I please be excused for a moment? I have to shake hands with a very dear friend of mine, whom I hope to introduce you to after dinner.' The teacher fainted

  39. Unfortunately Pat, your experiencing the phenomenon we affectionately know as "SODS LAW", in airsoft it means when it comes to facepro, all shots will hit where the protection ends, usually ears or Adams apple, a particular choker, alternatively you could go minimalist eyepro like I do, glasses or goggles, & you will be immediately blessed with hero status, never to be hit in the face again............. Or at least until the game before a big job interview/wedding/family get together, at which points "SODS LAW" steps up & says "hey buddy, thought you'd got rid of me😈" , & you end up looking like you've got the worse case of teenage acne ever, even if you are 47🤣

If the guy was acting dangerous. Then hats off the the site for actually dealing with it. Just because they're disabled, doesn't give them the right to endanger others. And site owner was well within his rights. I get tired of seeing/hearing this. I once worked with a black lad. Who was always on his phone, was always late back from break. Was even rude to everyone like the world owed him something. And was off sick nearly every other week. Yet when he was eventually sacked. He tried to take the company to court, claiming the discrimination/race card. Luckily they saw straight through it. But it's the fact they try!.... Saw it only a few weeks back also, with a disabled person. Expecting a restaurant to pretty much kick out an already paying customer, just so they can get a table. Then threw a fit when was told to wait like everyone else. I'm all for equality, better working conditions and all that jazz. But when they get the equality and treaded the same as every other normal person, they kick off like right karens. and people ever give into these people or atleast give them airtime. Worlds gone mad these days.
