That shortened G3 with wood furniture is gorgeous

It's less them sending the wrong item, more refering the asked for item in the parts diagram as the HK45CT mag catch which I assumed was just the same as the USP if they're saying it was - there's no point kicking up a fuss over a ten quid part that'll cost even more to return or whatever even if it's a little frustrating

First Aliexpress parcel arrived today, so hopefully the others will arrive this week too. This one was only £91 including taxes because of the sale they had last week. Looked through it and it's crystal clear, but need to get a battery for it so I can see how the illumination works. Zoom looks nice, though I can only really tell this once it's on the rifle because holding it my hand on 6x zoom is interesting, but the reticle is exactly the kind of reticle I wanted. Came with exactly the scope mounts I was going to get separately too... and they're too low so it won't go on my m14 as it rests on the rear iron sight, so will need to pick up some mediums 😂

Added a cheap RIS Front End from the Classifieds and some LaRue style index clips .... although in the 30 mins since I took this I've also changed the scope mount so it's "facing" forward and added a rear sight. Just need a foregrip to finish it off.

Which model of hop unit is it? For example is is the M4A-PRO that comes with the solid metal concave nub? An option for you, if you wish to lift heavy BB's, is to go with both a Maple Leaf inner barrel and the MR bucking as the ML inner barrel is intentionally designed to support the unique features of the MR bucking. In combination with the appropriate nub for your hop unit you'll be able to lift very heavy BB's so that's one thing ticked off of the list of DMR tasks.

Yeah. That is a possibility but unfortunately there are no short mags for the g3 I suppose maybe I can mod a vfc. Psg1 mag to fit but I have no idea if there is any parts compatability between the brands

Perhaps a very small air bottle hidden sideways on inside the box mag (with possibly some extra room created by using a short VN style tapped GBB mag) ? Or some way to rig an 88g co2 to the HPA tap on the mag?

Everyone, I am sure has heard of the Vortex warranty. Well, it's just awesome! I know it's only a little thing, but I lost my elevation turret cap in a game. Haven't thought about it until it's come time to sell the scope. Popped them an email and they're sending a replacement out the same day I spoke to them! Now that is good customer service. I've got Vortex on all my main rifles, for good reason 😄

I think there are a couple of thoughts here - firstly, as you mention, inner barrel length is generally regarded as not being overly critical - up to a point. I believe that people have established that circa 300mm or so is about optimal in order to stabilise the bounce of the BB as it moves along the top of the inner barrel post hop unit. But the other consideration is the volume of your inner barrel - I'm not sure if that is usually an issue with HPA, nor indeed GBB (but it very much is for AEGs). However you mention that you have ordered an HPA 'kit' - some of the mechanical only HPA engines - such as the Mancraft PDIK require a minimum PSI in order to operate effectively - you might find that with a very long inner barrel, that minimum PSI would end up pushing you over your sites Joules limit for DMRs. I believe they have a table on their website indicating the power vs different barrel lengths - might be worth a read. Generally, with outer barrels, as long as it is sufficient to cover your inner barrel, you can choose whatever length you like the look of.

That there's a subtle difference between using your debit card to pay an invoice (where the chargeback scheme applies), versus making a direct bank transfer payment (where you're generally on your own). This isn't victimblaming, just pointing out that the difference will matter to your bank. I'd also agree that you've complicated things by punting it on. I'd be very surprised if your your bank is able to reverse that payment - I'd actually be a little concerned, as it would seem to be a scammer's charter for rogue purchasers if both banks are prepared to simply take your word for it.
