I have 4 Ares rif's and never had any issues with them, but they're wall hangers so I don't feel qualified to really have an opinion. What I can say is I have another 9 wall hangers that have given me issues either through previous owners 'upgrades' or parts compatibility & none of them are ares. Out of the 7 other rifs I've used in game over the past few years only 1 has caused an issue in game due to the motor hight & was a simple fix. I'm sure where there's smoke you'll find fire but ares do seem to get a lot of schtick whether it's warranted or not.

Ares GBB Groza using TM AK system

interesting GBB to be sure but the hate for Ares on here is crazy. I've got a bunch of Ares stuff in my collection and they are a reliable as most other manufacturers. Terrible to take apart as they seem to be designed by a savant drug addict but on the whole not really much worst that others when it comes to reliability.

Hi all, Just acquired a new rif, but realised that the lower receiver is actually built around an AR10 platform and not AR15/M4 therefore the mags are obviously different...... Does anyone know of a Magwell insert you can get to convert an AR10 magwell to accept AR15/M4 mags?? I can find only 1 around, but that is for a specific make of rifle, and I am not sure if it will be compatible? Or if anyone has a 3D model for one, and by luck I have a 3D printer on order, but its going to take some time to get up to speed if I have to build it from scratch........

Data migration is complete and - short of some tweaking and assuming no unexpected surprises - the new forums will go live during the weekend. No data from this point onward will be moved so any posts made during the next day or two will be lost. Unfortunately the images and attachments are refusing to migrate. There's possible a workaround on this but so as to not delay migration any further for now no images will be moved. All accounts, posts, threads and personal messages have been migrated successfully. Once the new forums are live this weekend you will be able to log in as usual.

You have a higher chance of winning the lottery back to back than you do a working Ares replica out of the box
-
I've seen some of those turn up with the hop installed upside down and video reviews where they just couldn't get them to shoot consistently for the life of them. I'm guessing a few people win the lottery and get a working one probably but I'd rather something that just works.

New vid out Still no info on the recoil version.

Just received another successful delivery from Fire Support (firesupport.uk) - and have to commend the team’s consistency in being excellent each and every time. Not only do they stock some hard to find items (e.g. specialist upgrade parts like AngryGun etc typically found on Asian sites), they’ve helped me out with product advice in the past over the phone, package things really well and always deliver within the next working day. I’d highly recommend them! Only suggestion for them would be to upgrade the website, make categories more granular to make it easier to navigate and find things.

The ares 686 Co2 revolvers have been o.k, but I know that quite a few owners have had to send them back for replacement.

Yeah I really don't trust Ares, who have a track record of making AEGs that shit themselves, to pivot to GBBRs and somehow not make them shit themselves sadly. That said it might be useful to rip the furniture off this and possibly slap it on a VFC, GHK, or TM AK chassis. Remains to be seen.

Ares make beautiful RIFs that are junk internally.

They seem to be back in stock again. I already have... 11 mags (plus 8 extra 20rd mags), otherwise I'd be all over this. -

Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

I can't be the only one thinking a couple of pink two tone entry level AEGs aren't worth anywhere near the cost of a HPA gun. It'd help if they could actually post a picture of the whole guns too -
I was pondering this too (when i saw the released stuff last week) and the biggest give away was the different stock. Even though I am kinda drifting away from airsoft (towards RS shooting) I think the lure of being a TM fanboi means I am watching this with great interest. I would be interested to see how well 3rd parties take to this - will it be the same way they flocked around the Hi-capa, the VSR and MWS making them the de-facto thing for at least a while or will it just kinda drift along like the DAS and Systema, being "just" an alternative with a niche following.

This is a Cyma VSR10 which originally had a wood effect stock which was spray painted. This comes without a magazine but functions perfectly fine. I have single fed bbs into the chamber and it shoots fine. It has been upgraded with an M130 spring. Price included postage and fees.60.00 GBP

You're right. Rewatching the original show video at 27 mins it says "Since the FPR MkIV has the recoil mechanism inside the buffer tube, the battery is stored in the crane stock rather than inside the buffer tube".

Had the exact same conclusion when I saw it and thought “ooo I want one of those” He mentioned struggling to remove the delta ring, then the mag part not fitting properly and assumed too much force was put on the lower. Definitely wouldn’t touch it knowing they had it in a vice then had mag fitting issues 😂
