#264155 Whats your favourite game type/scenario?

Posted by Albiscuit on 16 January 2017 - 12:07 PM

Played a cool game yesterday at AWA where our team had to escort some boxes from A-B a Protect the convoy scenario. The boxes were not allowed too far off the path which lead straight to the drop off.

enemy team had to lay at least 1 ambush along the way.

Defenders could travel as far off the path as they want but boxes had to stay near the path. It was a good game. Kind of went to madness as part of the scouting party I found the ambush, took a few out and got shot. Our spawn was behind the enemies spawn. So as both teams took loses we ended up just playing a deathmatch outside the spawns with not many doubling back to the convoy.

We got the convoy to the flag in the end but was quite chaotic (which was fun  :P  :D   B) )

#263435 Little Things That Annoy You In Airsoft

Still think the bang rule is rubbish... I get surrendering, but gun fingers have no place in Airsoft.

As you are spot on, if there IS an MED (this is where I misread the post) it is up to the player to have a back up ready and be quick and good enough to draw and fire it rather than any other way, bang or not!

I was agreeing with you...apologies if it seemed otherwise!

How do you mean aggressive? Act like berty big bullocks and mouth off to people? Or whilst playing, spray everyone when a couple of shots would suffice? I'm guilty of rushing a lot of the time and often will be virtually spawn killing people. I obviously don't go right up to the spawn point as I'm not online and it would have real life consequences :D. But I've been called out for doing it by other players who say it breaks the game. Not really sure what the best way is. Surely it's their own fault for allowing me to get so close?

To note, the above may sound like bragging, I can assure you I am the one whose acne looks like it has returned after a day of playing. All part of the journey of being a noob I guess.

I get what your saying, but a little sense and practicality needs to be called for. If you find yourself in or on top of the spawn its not their fault for letting you get so close as you say. You should really drop back and give others a chance to get out and take up positions.

#262485 Preferred room entry techniques

Posted by Albiscuit on 30 December 2016 - 11:02 PM

I find running into a room with my willy hanging out is the most effective way of clearing it out!!

But in Airsoft I am more of a gung ho sacrificial lamb type person if I am with a group storming in taking some hits trying to take out one or two in the process, respawn and back in again (I find this often leads to groups clearing it out after me if someone else is willing to take one for the team), or super stealthy ninja cutting the corners and sneaking up to the edge of the door with my pistol whilst crawling on the floor type person.

#261671 Mouth/Face protection

Posted by Albiscuit on 19 December 2016 - 02:08 PM

That sends me down a slight tangent - does anyone actually wear any <insert word for genitals here> protection?

I've been shot in the nob about 3 or 4 times and only one of them hurt (and it REALLY hurt - and I did briefly consider a cricket box), the others were the kinds hits you hear but don't feel.

Well this is the reason I wear a kneepad on my right leg... ;)

#261668 MP7's

Posted by Albiscuit on 19 December 2016 - 01:42 PM

The 'AEG' is actually an AEP (auto electric pistol).  Much smaller gearbox than any conventional AEG, so less power overall to work the spring/piston.

My brother has one, uses it all the time (to good effect), I've tried it, seems like a decent weapon and the ridiculously small size and tiny weight are just awesome imho.  BUT you really need to use it where it work, in close quarters, the FPS is low and the range is fairly short; takes a while for the BB to travel any distance too ofc.  If you're fighting people inside rooms and short corridors and other tight spaces I've personally found it to be super handy, you can one-hand it like a pistol but the plastic mid-caps available hold tons of rounds, are tiny and weigh absolutely nothing.  Just do not expect it to be an all-rounder.

Not sure if you have played at The Mall, but the MP7 I used was epic there, totally suited the setting and my play style, I was super aggressive, even when defending I was gung ho out of the door taking the attack to the attackers often to good effect. Even got the jump on my brother who was playing and took out almost 20 people much to their surprise in the 'infected' first game as I knew everyone outside the corridor was an enemy :)

I get its a AEP not a AEG, I was just trying to clarify it was not a GBB  ;)

Trigger response is something which has bugged me on previous guns I have had. I do like a crisp response when I fire. My Mp5K seems to take a week to trickle a bb out of the barrel after tugging on the trigger  :( thats bugs the hell out of me.

I still want one, im not sure I will get the one offered to me now though as its only such a deal as it comes with 7 mags. but I only want three or four and I have read mixed reviews. Plenty of people claiming the electric one is great as a CQB or back up primary others with remarks about it not being great but no substance to their claim. Trigger saying the trigger response is really the only bad thing I have found (explanation wise) but I still need to look into it.

And I saw a MP9 online and liked that too, I am not too sure on the differences between a MP7 and MP9 yet but will do more digging.

Thanks for all your input so far!!

The TM MP7 AEG is absolute garbage. The trigger response is terrible and it shoots like crap its the worst gun TM ever made avoid like the plague.

Get either the TM or KWA gbb no other one is even worth looking at.

Oh.. pissed on my parade hahah...

Seriously tho if they are that bad I may keep looking then. Im glad I did not have the money yesterday as I would have bought id. Figured Id look around and ask on here before parting with my monies

#258757 Face protection recommendation

Posted by Albiscuit on 13 November 2016 - 10:45 PM

Thing is we can recommend over 100 different combos of eye, face pro either separates or masks or half this half that but thats our personal preference.

I have bought a couple of masks, 4 different types of specs/goggles 2 half mesh masks and still not hugely happy with what I use....

You are only going to know what works by trying it out for yourself.

Many people buy mesh lowers and mod them to fit under specific eye pro, but then the choice of eye pro is huge and all down to personal choice...

What eye pro do you use, or want?

#258046 What do you think

Posted by Albiscuit on 04 November 2016 - 01:48 PM

So yeah while airsoft growing is good for the business side of things I think maybe not so for the players unless sites clamp down on the idiots.

Basically it!!

Once profit over players becomes prevalent its a slow demise

#258024 What do you think

Posted by Albiscuit on 04 November 2016 - 10:05 AM

Agree with the too many players at a site bit.

I went to the Malls Halloween game t'other week and was limited to 30 plus a few marshals played so under 40 people and it was the best session of airsoft I had ever had. Did not come across any aspect of cheating, there was one game where the rules were a bit shaky and people didn't quite know what the medic rules were and what to do if hit whilst waiting to medic etc but has so much fun.

Usually on larger group days (Sundays) or at outdoor sites there is always a bit of dubious behavior.

But much much prefer smaller groups of regular players.

Although without airsoft getting more popular it would cease to exist, if we did not have sites getting busier, we would not have new sites or old ones expanding/changing their layout, we would have no new tech, no new guns, why would TM or Krytac bother bringing over guns if the market over here started going backwards.

Like with everything its good and bad, most of us on here love the hobby as we have been playing it for some time, have our equipment and know how we like to play and can pick and choose which games to goto and know of those little gem or private games which will be regulars and no noobs or walts.

I think as long as there are more options for us its a win!

However PT247 is dead right about sites not caring about regulars and only about money, if this becomes normal it is detrimental to our games and hopefully this is not the case everywhere...!!
