  1. Can't lie, saw my posts, thought it was me 😅, however I kept reading
  2. Only person I remember arguing with everyone was "Duff" but unsure if it was him arguing. Exactly my thoughts
  3. I honestly thought it had a good reputation (the site), this thread seems to be telling me otherwise.
  4. Yes on Facebook it was asked, it didn't get answered. As I said, everyone started arguing about GDPR and radio frequencies. However it appears the post about the Tesco cosplay has been deleted off of their feed
  5. I'm not being negative about it, just don't really see a point. As I've said, I've never seen an "altercation" between marshalls and players, you have. Maybe it's needed maybe its not... nothing to do with professionalism though, if they started filming players etc id suspect a complaint about them may take a while to settle if people are asking for the footage to be sent to them etc. Plus they'll have a headache if they "lose" footage or capture something inappropriate, just for the sake of what? A jumped up airsoft nugget who doesn't accept his/her gun doesn't shoot as far as the person next to him. Again, I dont disagree with your points, particularly around safety, but I just don't see a point in having them.
  6. I dont see how this makes it more professional. Just looks like tesco security cosplay
  7. Quote 1: I've never played there but I thought it had a good reputation, but I agree it does seem odd Quote 2: exactly my thoughts...
  8. Genuinely, I've never seen an issue where a body cam would benefit anyone or anything. Edit: at an airsoft site
  9. Morning all, Browsing social media and I saw this post from Driver Wood Airsoft regarding their new Marshall "kit". Most of the comments are people asking about the GDPR for the camera (then others arguing about GDPR) and the sepura radio. However, it got me thinking... what's the need for a body cam, at airsoft. I've never seen someone try to square up to a Marshall and its not going to offer quality for a live link to see if someone is cheating
  10. Still waiting on a pre order. Was told Jan, then it was cancelled and a new supplier gave assurances they'd deliver in Feb... no regular updates or reaching out. Last time I use that site.

I ordered a railed dustcover from DCA with an estimated delivery time of 14-30 days and it was a real nightmare until it just randomly turned up one day - are you a lot of money in or is it just a part?

@Robert James I think the guys at Alpha Delta have them although not on the website

  11. I like lurking on this forum, but my god, people "scamming" and the bots are rife. Something needs to be done before users get too annoyed 😒

So I had a long text written and then decided to log out and try to create a new account to see something but it's been disabled 🤷‍♂️ and it didn't copy.

Anyway, there are many suggestions on the forum suggestions thread/feedback as to how it can managed more efficiently. I understand nothing will be 100%.

On some discord servers you have to physically click a button to then be able to access the threads/rooms available, on Facebook you have to answer questions before you can join. I am sure that forum permissions would allow something similar.

My original post was not a dig at the mods, they do a great job. However looking at the forum suggestions thread, it appears things are being done in the background by the admin. Would have been good to have a thread about it or an update, but that's beside the point.

And Colin, I've offered to help before when i didn't have shift work and was very active on the forum. I dont think the answer is "more" mods personally. Furthermore, I understand scammers are on every site, I wasn't born yesterday, but again, like the above suggestions, anyone could sign up post a picture of a gun and sell it to an unsuspecting player with no real way of stopping them short of banning them after the fact.

If you understand that scammers are on every site, why complain in such a dramatic manner about people scamming on this site?  Scamming seems to be far more widespread on other sites.

The measures that can be put in place are dependent on the software the site runs on; I suspect that it does not have the functionality to put the sort of measures that you suggest in place.  If it does, they would probably have been implemented by now.

@Colin Allen - barely "dramatic" but, thats your opinion, just like i gave mine. Thats what a forum is for, opinions and ideas etc. So i can give mine in which ever way i wish. "Dramatically" or to suggest that something (anything) should be done.

A very quick glance on Google shows there is a way to do Q&A on registration and forum posts/thread listing vs how many posts said person has made. Or perhaps under 100 posts starting a thread in classifieds has to be "looked at" first. It runs off of IPB software which has been around for years and that's just two/three suggestions. Not saying they will work, but it's something rather than nothing.

As Jedi said, the admin has stopped registrations and is currently looking at what the next/best process is for spam etc.

I like the forum spam and scam free, as much as it can be, and it's frustrating to see it be used to scam on.

  12. @Speedbird_666 @Tackle @Jedi_Master I dont know who is a mod anymore...
  13. Baldurs gate 3 - without doubt, the best game of the year, I'd argue decade. The depth the lore the replayability, the characters, the builds, I could go on. 150hours for the whole game including side quests or 70 for main quests. Or get xbox game pass (pc or console) and get free games If that's not your thing, dishonored 1 or 2 is good, like Hitman but set in the industrial times. Hitman 3 - above but modern Halo i still think divinity original sin is great but is easily trumped by Bg3 Planet zoo Steam have a sale on right now, I think its only 10% off so you can try other places but it's an easy way to pick up cheap games. To be fair, all of the games that I mentioned in your original quote I actually think I still play them or at least would if I wasn't doing other things.
  14. I'm back. Glad to see nothing has changed too much. Howdy 🤠
